I'm sorry I know this question wasn't for me but I have to chime in. I LOVE drinking Crystal Light Peach Tea! Awesome and not a lot of calories...99% caffeine free too.:thumbsup2

Rick loves the Pink Lemonade version, but we can't get it over here...so guess what we will be stocking up with?

:yay: :yay: LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF MY LAST POST ! 33333:yay: :yay:
Is that a milestone - :confused3

Do I get a milestone for the UK'ers?:dance3:

Definitely a UK milestone...we need as many as we can get.

Gosh! - its very quiet on here today:ssst: I gues I'll :tiptoe: around til you all wake up.....or I could always
shout WAKE UP AND CHAT - I'M BORED!!!!

I'm here now Karen, but you're not. I had to do some work this morning.

Yes that is the name of it. I would not pay full price for it. Don't get me wrong I just have a hard time paying $25 for a book. Are you interested in reading it?

I was thinking about it. Is it in paperback form yet?

I like Crystal Lite as well but try to limit that stuff also. Fruit Punch is my favorite followed by the Peach Tea.:yay:

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month...

Ladies get out there and get those Mammies Grammed!! :thumbsup2

Paige: (Sistah P) Aren't you getting test results for Emily today? You will share with us right?

I'm thinking some of us will be doing the Doc Dance this week. We already know who was first. Any guesses on who is next?

My guess is Karen.

I quite liked the Peach Tea, but we haven't tried the fruit punch one. I'll have to have a look.

It's also the last week that everyone will be DIS'ing from home before they leave for FL. Come on everyone...this week should be the big post push!
We need to make Jeff proud of us.

Good morning/afternoon everyone...

Just caught up from the weekend...we had a busy weekend and I couldn't get on the boards at all.

Saturday and Sunday mornings were spent cleaning out my guest room/storage room in anticipation of my new scrapbooking/stamping room. I also started cleaning out my bathroom cupboards so I can rearrange everything, and DH and I swapped closets. Saturday we got together with some friends, and Sunday DH and his dad (and DS) watched the dismal Bears game while I went shopping with my MIL.

BTW, for all the WI KKers...congrats to the Packers on their 4-0 so far this year...:cheer2:

Yep, just got back from the doctor's.....Of course the MRI results were not sent to her yet. But she did inform us that if there were any horrible things (my words, not her's) they would have sent them ASAP. Whatever.

She will call me I think when the results get to her. They were scrambling to try to track them down before I left, but to no avail. We had the MRI done on a different base, at a hospital where they do MRI's. We only have a clinic on our base.

After explaining Emily's history to her, though, she went ahead and referred me to a pediatric neurologist. So I will call Wednesday(I have to wait 48 hrs so the referral is in the system) up at Walter Reed or Bethesda to get her in. Also, when I described Emily's symptoms (which are very mild, but still there), she says there is a chance that this could be hypoglycemia (or did she say Hyperglycemia?)......so our next step with that is to work with the school nurse to get her glucose tested throughout the day....

I am happy with what she told me. She is a very nice doc; it was our 1st time seeing her. I like a doc who is not afraid to order tests and not just dismiss us as raving lunatics (although that is what I am most of the time).
I'm not sure what hypoglycemia is exactly, so I guess I will have some research to do...........

Y'all have a great Monday!!

Game Plan was a great movie. Grandkids, daughter and I went yesterday. funny but yes bring some kleenex. Diane

I'll have to remind Laura to tell you about the MOPS Convention.

Yes please. I am not sure if I like this new group. Last year we were MOPS. Now this year we are MOMS (Moms on a Mission) It is open to any aged women with any age child as long as you have a child. So technically my mother could go because I am her child, and my grandmother could go because my mother is her child. Last year our night group consisted of 3 tables. Our table had 5 the other two tables at 7 so 19 people plus the leaders. Our first meeting this year there was roughly 45 people. I don't know about this. Not at all like last year.

I am not sure if it is paperback or not. Once I get a book I stop looking for it. If you don't mind a used hardcover book you are more then welcome to mine. It is in good condition. I should be finished with it by the time we go, if not on the plane on the way over. Just let me know if you want it. Once I am done with it I don't have a need for it any longer so I rather pass it on to someone I know then just Goodwill it.

Oh by the way there is a recipe at the end of each chapter.

Hope this helps. I was hypoglycemic for 9 years. It is something that you can grow out of specially for women. I grew out of mine when I got pregnant. But I still have some rough points. Briefly this is what it is. It is the opposite of a diabetic. Instead of the readings being high they will be low. When I was diagnosed I was reading in the low 20's (not very good, the dr. actually said I should be dead). There is medication to take for it, but they never put me on it. They wanted me to try controlling it by diet first. Which worked really well for me. The key things to eat and keep on hand or things that have protein. Such has meats, preferably red, cheese, and orange juice. If she feels herself going down drink orange juice right away and it will prevent an attack. Most drs. can prescribe you the testing kit. I actually got mine for free, through my dr. They will have you journal your results. They started me off doing it, in the morning right after waking up, 30 minutes after breakfast, before lunch, 30 minutes after lunch, before dinner, 30 minutes after dinner and then at bedtime. Then of course if she feels her self going down they want a reading at that time also.

Let me know if you have any questions on it. How old is she again?

Welcome to the thread. Feel free to ask any questions. We are a fun bunch of people and there is always someone who knows the answers.

We are traveling with the in-laws, my DH, DD 12, DS 11, and DD 5. We are celebrating our 5 years olds birthday that will be on the ship, DH's birthday which is the day we are going over and my 30th which is on the 6th.

Is your birthday 10/6 or 11/6. My wife's is 11/6 we are celebrating a little early, but she doesn't mind.;).

Regards-
