Please review for me. This is the one going to AAA travel feedback department. I hope it fits in their form.

9/21/07

To Whom It May Concern;

I am writing as feedback on the services I have received from AAA travel for the past 3 years. I have been an actual AAA member for about 12 years now. I have booked many cruises and trips through AAA and have never had an issue. Until this booking. Back in October of 2004 I booked a dummy date for a Disney Cruise. At that point we knew that we wanted to take it during the week of October 21, 2007 just needed to know the departing date and wait for it to open for reservations.

In the three years we have had 5 agents working on our booking plus who I was told was the head person over California and Arizona AAA Cruise Department. I believe her name was Debbie. These changes were not made buy us it was because 4 agents left the company and the 5th is the one we are working with now which I am not extremely happy with either.

To sum up a long story. I will not be renewing my membership with AAA this coming April. My husband canceled his this past April and we left mine active just for this cruise. We have had our reservations lost 3 times, or file has ended up missing twice, not one of the agents returns phones calls or emails in a timely manner. We have had to rebook our cruise 3 different times. Each time we rebook the mess something else up. When working with Debbie she told me that “I would be compensated for our problems and that she would be issuing us $150 ship board credit.” Come to find out the only credit we have is the $150 we got when we booked the cruise. I have had to do most of the work for this cruise myself plus get every agent on board with what we want.

I would appreciate you contacting me back ASAP to get the entire story.

Thank you

Last one I promise. This is the letter to DCL. If you could all please give me your opinion.

I am doing a garage sale tomorrow as long as it does not get rained out. They are calling for rain but who knows these days. We did not get any today. I had a friend drop off a tote of baby clothes for me to sell for her so I am just taging her stuff. Trying to make my self calm down so I can get tired.

I am off to bed now. You can all come back out. I am done venting for tonight. I will be gone very early in the morning so I will touch base later in the evening. Have a good Saturday everyone.

Yeah!!! A new challenge for the KK thread. Let's come up with a name for Cass' Diaper Cake business!!

(I'll be up half the night trying to come up with something as witty as Abby's).

Good night everyone.

Oooh that's a great idea!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1:

The best I could do is "Baby Cakes by Cass" :confused3

Cass - What is a diaper Cake ?

It's a unique Baby shower gift made up of diapers in the shape of a cake. You can add things to it like bibs, creams, cloths, powder, etc so it makes an excellent starter gift for the new mom.

This was a cake that I made my sister for her baby shower this past May...

It was my first one, so be gentle.

Sounds like a great idea and love the name! :lmao: I think I am starting a diaper cake business when we get back from the cruise, wish I could come up with a clever name like yours for my business!

We cruised on Royal Caribbean and it sucked! I am spoiled by DCL!

No, she was NOT into walking today. But she sure was happy to see her daddy

*think think think think think*pooh: Great business idea! I'd bet some brainstorming around here will help you come up with a catchy name.

We cruised with Royal C. 7 years ago (on one of the 4 night cruises) and service was horrible!!! We said we'd never cruise them again but I'm willing to give them another shot but only on one of the longer cruises on a newer ship. DH was the one who said he'd only go on Disney, which is how we ended up here. Honestly, I may hope for a wonderful experience on this cruise but even a mediocre experience will be heads and shoulders above our RCI one. There is NO WAY this cruise can be any worse. And I am by no means a difficult traveler with unrealistic expectations.

Great job!! I've only ever made one myself and my diapers didn't look nearly as good as yours.

I just did an on-line search for diaper cakes. Most of the names have "diaper cakes" in them. The name you've come up with so far is cute! The most unique one that came up on my search was "Pitter Patter Creations". Do you want to sell on the web too? Now I can't quit thinking about names!!

This just in!!!!

The wine tasting is set up for Oct 22 at 11am in Sessions.
There will be no charge for the 7 "drivers" and $12 per person for the 40 "winos"....oops ...I mean wine drinkers.

I got this letter from Dorothy today. As promised one month from cruise date.

I understand a few of you pulled out last month when we thought we had too many, but it looks like no one has to anymore. Please let me know if you still want out. I will email her with a final count this weekend.

I will not be attending myself anymore, but will get the information for Paige and Lynn who were gracious enough to assist me with this. A very special thank you from me to you two.

I will post a messge on Yahoo too.

Party on....

Does this mean you can add people that may be interested? Laura expressed an interest in the wine tasting (mostly as a social venue since neither of us drink wine.) I told her that I didn't sign up for the previous reason. It's no biggie but if they can fit 2 more drivers, then we may be interested. Again, if no one can be added it's no problem, I'm sure that we can dig something else to do.

Hi all,

Long time no talk. This last month has been a nightmare at work. The lovely SEC threw out a rule and now we had to redo 79 accounts and change the way they are set up. I sent out the paperwork the 1st week of August to all accounts with a deadline of 9/15. As of 9/15 I had 4 back, yes 4 out of 79. Today was the corporate deadline and I had all but 3 done. I called, emailed, visited and harassed, I came close to becoming the thing that would not go away. Two of the 3 left are actually employees of our company, I want to scream at them. Now that the deadline is past I can start to relax and think about our cruise. 3 weeks to go, I still need to but suitcases, our Disney ones fell apart this summer. I bought evening shoes today at Boston Store, regular $142 on yellow dot for $6.92. I tried on multiple dresses and I think I found my semi-formal. I am still trying to lose weight to fit into my current formal.. I have lost 8 pounds this week, 20 to go. I am trying on others just in case I don't make it.

We are arriving at 11 am n the 18th and leaving at 7 pm on the 28th so we hope we will be able to go into the park one of the days, other than the 1st night at MNSSHP. Anyone else going on the 18th to MNSSHP.

I am talking a lot tonight to make up for the months of my avoidance. I figured Kaitie was on here enough for the both of us.

Judy:love:

Sorry for the rough time at work. I know how that can be. Luckily for me though, I can (usually) forget it once I punch out. I've always felt for those whose work chases them home at night.

Does anyone (Jeff or Steve) happen to know what day our cruise became available to book. I booked it 2 days after it became available and I need to know that date.

Carrie, I haven't read forward yet to see if anyone answered this, but I believe Steve started the thread on the same day as the ressies opened for us (I think). Check back on page one. :)

I believe this to be very nearly true. I had emailed my TA for something having to do with our May 06 WDW vacation and she emailed me right back (How I miss that promptness) with my answer and the fact that the cruise that I was looking to book just came avail. that day. I had her reserve it. My documents state that it occured March 3, 2006. I was a work that day and on the next day (Day off) I searched to see if anyone had started the thread yet and finding none, I started the thread. It's kinda fun reading those posts from a year and a half ago!

Ok here is goes. Please give me comments and advice on this. I tend to be too long winded and spell things wrong. I will save this to send out on Monday.

Liz:

Correct me if I am wrong but when we were in your office on 7/26/07 paying the remaining balance on our 10/20/2007 Disney Cruise, you stated to us that you should have our air info around the first week or so of September. I told you that I was waiting on that information so we could book the shuttle to pick us up and take us to the airport and then return us to home. I told you that I had called Super Shuttle and they gave me a price for a private van. Your reply was: “I will contact you as soon as I get the air information and you and I will sit down and book the shuttle because I think I can get it cheaper then what they told you.” You also stated that you would get the air information before you get the docs.

Now, I sent you an email on 9/7/07 asking if you had received the air information so that we could book the shuttle. You responded on 9/12/07 with a web address and discount code of the Super Shuttle so that I could do it myself. But you did not address the air information at all. Without the air info I was unable to book the shuttle. You did state that you would contact me when the docs come in.

Now, I have my air information. I had to track it down myself. However, any changes that need to be made must go through your office. My concern is our return flight home. I have read on the Disney Cruise Line info and have been told by the Disney Cruise Line people that if you are booking your own flights, don't book before 12:50 because there is no guarantee that you can get from the ship to the airport before then. Our return flight leaves Orlando at 11:50 am. We need to know that this will not be a problem or that it will be changed to a more apropriate time.
I would appreciate it if you would look into this for me and respond to me promptly by email. In the past I have had difficulty getting responses to my queries and do not want to wait on so important a matter at such a late date. It is my understanding that when I use a travel agent for a trip of any sort, that details such as these would be taken care of with minimal intervention from me. As you know we have had more than our share of challenges in the booking of this vacation and I feel that I have done much more work then I should have had to. I need to feel comfortable that the AAA travel agents involved in my vacation were taking care of my business. For what this cruise has cost, I believe that it is not too much to ask.

I hope you don't mind. But you did ask. All the red areas are places that I re-jiggered to make the email the same message with a more tempered but sharper tone. Use if you like or tell me to butt out. :)

Now that my brain is working I visited the shuttle website that my TA gave me from the past email. I put in the code she gave me to see what kind of discount we would get. Roundtrip for this shuttle would be $122 with a discount of $10.00 so it would make it $112. After tipping it would be back up to $122.

So now I am looking into taking my van and parking it at the airport to see if that is cheaper.

I have a question for all of you.

I just compaired prices between the shuttle and parking at the airport. Tell me what you all think.

Now we would be leaving from my parents house which is about 10 miles if that from the airport

If we take the shuttle it is $122 round trip. Pro for this is the driver loads our luggage, as long as we have it in the driveway ready to go. Then when we get to the airport he unloads it to the curb, then we cross the street with it and find a porter.

If we park at the airport I can do uncovered parking for $72.00 for the whole time we are gone. Or covered for $90.00. The only problem with this is we have to load our own luggage in the car, unload it, then load it on the bus that takes us to the terminal and then take it off the bus, and find a porter. Hmm. Alot more moving luggage with my parents who should not lift theirs and Scott and I don't have enough arms for everyones luggage the I think the price is better, and it would be less hassle then booking the shuttle and we could get there when we want to, not when they want us to. My mom and I like to get to the airport 2 hours early. They shuttle says 45 minutes. Most of the time that is not long enough to get through security. My father has missed several flights because of the shuttle.

This may be cheaper with only a minimal amount of hassle. Check into price-line and a rent-a-car with an airport drop off. Drive to the airport, pull to the curb, and use the curb side luggage check-in while someone takes the car to the rental agency for return. The reverse the process for home. Again tell me to butt out. I can take it.

walt and I always say we should retire, move to Florida and work at Disney World but I dont want to leave my grandkids here in Texas.

Ahh! the family. That's what ties us down too. That's why I tell Laura that I will be pushing the kids to find jobs elsewhere (just in the same location) and we'll just follow. Only good thing about CA is the weather. Everything else bites!

Please review for me. This is the one going to AAA travel feedback department. I hope it fits in their form.

To Whom It May Concern;

I am writing this as feedback on the services I have received from AAA travel over the past 3 years. I have been an AAA member for about 12 years now and have booked many cruises and trips through AAA over the years. We have never had an issue, until this booking. Back in October of 2004 I booked a placeholder date for a Disney Cruise. We knew that we were interested in the week of October 21, 2007, all we needed to know was the departing date and then wait for it to open for reservations.

Over the past three years we have had 5 agents working on our booking including one who, I was told, was the head person over California and Arizona AAA Cruise Department. I believe her name was Debbie. This turnover in agents were not a choice of our own, in fact, four of the agents left the company and the 5th is the one we are working with now. My dissatisfation with the latter is the cause for my communication today.

To sum up a long story. We have had our reservations lost 3 times, our file has ended up "missing" twice, and not one of the agents returns my phone calls or emails in a timely manner. As a result, we have had to rebook our cruise 3 different times. And each time we rebook something else is messed up. When Debbie was helping us work out the problems, she told me that “I would be compensated for our trouble and that she would be issuing us a $150 ship board credit.” It has come to our attention that the only credit we have is the $150 we got when we booked the cruise in the first place. It is my contention that I have had to do most of the work for this cruise myself in addition to reorienting every agent when there is a change.

I will not be renewing my membership with AAA this coming April. My husband has already cancelled his this past April. As a courtesy to a customer who is very unsatisfied, I would appreciate you contacting me back ASAP to get the entire story.

Thank you

Awesome! This is so much better than what I thought you meant by a Diaper Cake. That has some rather, untasty, connotations. (Please tell me to butt out too, if you must) How about the business name "Babycakes"

Gosh, I'm such an Idiot. If I would have just read your post, I would have seen that you already had that idea. In that case, Cass, your business name is Great! Fantastic! Carry on.

It actually has a meaning (or had) If you are familiar with the old television show "Lost in Space" the robot on that series never had a name. They just called him Robot. In the first episode the Robot was turned on and pronounces his designation as Environmental Control Robot B9. That was the closest he ever got to a name. Well, a few years back I decided to build a scale model of that robot. So, I started going by the name of B9erSteve. This past year, I sold the robot. (A guy offered me a lot of money for it and I had other projects that I wanted to go on to.)

Steve - I thought his name was Robbie the Robot!

I think that's perfect Cass.

I thought of two cake names: 1)Snips and Snails cakes and 2)Sugar and Spice cakes. I'm sure someone somewhere already uses these but I thought they were cute. You can get so creative with the decorations and designs!

Your business name really works because it's cute, it over-all says what the business is about, and having your name in there personalizes it.

One of the other dog poop scooping names someone came up for me was The Turd Burglar. :rotfl2:

Cass, Love the cake, it is better than I've seen, I love the layered look.

Abby, I thought your business name was awesome, but the one you just listed, was pretty funny also.

Oooh that's a great idea!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Since it didn't seem like DCL had a problem with my head count (and I did embellish it a bit anyway) I've added you to my list as "drivers". Also, since I closed the table on Yahoo for the WT, I'll add you and Laura myself.:thumbsup2
