Does anyone (Jeff or Steve) happen to know what day our cruise became available to book. I booked it 2 days after it became available and I need to know that date.

Correct me if I am wrong but when we were in your office on 7/26/07 paying the remaining balance on our 10/20/2007 Disney Cruise. You stated to us that you should have our air info around the fist week or so of September. I told you that I was waiting on that information so we could book the shuttle to pick us up and take to the airport and then pick us back up from the airport and return us to home. I told you that had called Super Shuttle and they gave me a price for a private van. You then told me “I will contact you as soon as I get the air information and you and I will sit down and book the shuttle because I think I can get it cheaper then what they told you.” You also stated with us in your office this day that you would get the air information before you get the docs.

Now I sent you an email on 9/7/07 asking you if you had received the air information yet so we could book the shuttle. You responded on 9/12/07 with the web address and discount code of the Super Shuttle so I can do it myself. But you did not address the air information at all. So without that I can not book the shuttle. You did state that you would contact me when the docs come in.

Now I have my air information. I had to track it down myself. I do have a question concerning our return flights home. I have read on Disney Cruise Line stuff and been told by Disney Cruise Line people that if you are booking your own flights not to book before 12:50 because there is not guarantee that you can get from the ship to the airport before then. Our return flight leaves Orlando at 11:50 am. So I am concerned that the timing will be close.

I would appreciate it if you would look into this for me and get back to me by email. Your track record has not been the greatest with getting back to me in the past so I would appreciate it if you would get back to me ASAP. It is my understanding that when I use a travel agent for a trip of any sort that I would not have to do the work to find things out. At this point between you and all our other issues booking this cruise I have done way more work then I should have had to. I would appreciate it if AAA travel agents would start doing their part, please. I don’t not feel that is to much to ask for the amount that this cruise has cost us.

Now that my brain is working I visited the shuttle website that my TA gave me from the past email. I put in the code she gave me to see what kind of discount we would get. Roundtrip for this shuttle would be $122 with a discount of $10.00 so it would make it $112. After tipping it would be back up to $122.

So now I am looking into taking my van and parking it at the airport to see if that is cheaper.

Figure that you want to arrive at the airport at 5pm to keep the TSA happy. Then add in Drive time and you need to leave DD at 4pm. (I think that it is an hour.) Now, you should have everything done and off ship by 9am for sure, and with another hour of travel time you will be at DD by 10am. That gives you 6 hours to goof off.

I have a question for all of you.

I just compaired prices between the shuttle and parking at the airport. Tell me what you all think.

Now we would be leaving from my parents house which is about 10 miles if that from the airport

If we take the shuttle it is $122 round trip. Pro for this is the driver loads our luggage, as long as we have it in the driveway ready to go. Then when we get to the airport he unloads it to the curb, then we cross the street with it and find a porter.

If we park at the airport I can do uncovered parking for $72.00 for the whole time we are gone. Or covered for $90.00. The only problem with this is we have to load our own luggage in the car, unload it, then load it on the bus that takes us to the terminal and then take it off the bus, and find a porter. Hmm. Alot more moving luggage with my parents who should not lift theirs and Scott and I don't have enough arms for everyones luggage the I think the price is better, and it would be less hassle then booking the shuttle and we could get there when we want to, not when they want us to. My mom and I like to get to the airport 2 hours early. They shuttle says 45 minutes. Most of the time that is not long enough to get through security. My father has missed several flights because of the shuttle.

Hi Diane!! I was wondering what happened to you guys. I know how you feel. Chuck and I keep saying the same thing but we'd miss the kids too much. I might feel differently after this cruise with them all, but right now I'd miss them.

Guess I'll go outside and scoop the dog poop. That's my Friday night entertainment. Did I ever mention that last year I was going to start my own dog poop scooping business? But the very week I sent my application in for my name registration and was going to order my business supplies, someone else in my small town started their own business. My insurance agent thought I was joking when I called him about insurance and what it was for. My name was going to be "Reporting For Doody". Pretty clever I thought. Fast forward a year, the other guy is out of business and I'm back to thinking I may do it. However, these gas prices are killer on the profit margin! OK, I'll quit babbling.

So let me ask this. Has anyone ever cruised on another line besides DCL? If so what line or lines?

We cruised on Royal Caribbean and it sucked! I am spoiled by DCL!
