Cards look like they are falling apart. Peaked to early. Sorry Brenda.

Cubs have a much easier schedule than the Brewers. Plus, if they keep bringing in Turnblow in the 8th, they won't win the games they need to.

They now need to win both days the Cubs are off (today and Monday) so they can make up the loss from yesterday. Then they need to stay with them win for win and hopefully get one extra.

However, with the Braves and Padres on their schedule, I don't see them getting enough wins. I say they lose by 2 games.

If they do somehow make it, they will lose in the first round. Mark my word, Turnblow will blow the last or second to the last game in the first series for them. :sad2:

I listen to most of the Cubs game with my DH and I feel the same way about our "closer." Whenever he comes in it seems we lose. Reminds me of Dan Plesac!!

Brenda,

Are you here to steal?

I see Lori's light on but no posts. She's waiting in the wings.

Only about 5 of us on right now. That should jump to 10 pretty soon.

Is everyone playing by your rules today Jeff--hiding till the last second?

I am lurking but not really to steal ... I'm just feeling icky and I'm trying to do as little "work" today as possible. So I wander in and wander out and throw in a comment now and then. :goodvibes

How about the Packer game on Sunday? Any thoughts on that one?

What are you reading right now? Our new book for book club is Anne of Green Gables!! I mentioned to the woman who chose it, "You do realize this is a children's book?" :confused3

When we're done at the pool the day before we are going to be off the ship and at a beach, we always take about 5 with us to the room. We pack them in our backpack for the next day.

You will actually see towel bins where you get back on the ship to throw them when you are gonig to reboard. No need to run to Deck 9 and drop them there. :thumbsup2

Cool:thumbsup2 - thanks for the info. Why 5? Are they dinky size or is it just to cover up your borat cozzie;)

Will we see 30,000 today?

No doubt it will be once us UK'ers have all gone to bed:rolleyes: (although I may lurk a while;) )

KAREN:The Amazing Race season with the hippies was one of our favorites. We LOVED those guys. That was also a great moment when Joyce of "Uchenna & Joyce" shaved her head. She was gorgeous when her hair grew in a little bit--I loved that cropped look on her.

I read once that they did a family amazing race with kids and parents?:confused3 - it didnt get screened on UK tv. We keep getting the same series repeated:sad2: - although the hippie one is good so far - they are down to 4 teams now. I keep screaming "come on hippies" at the tv.:rotfl: - I soooo want them to win

We may actually skip it this time, especially if it is on a sea day for us. Since there are only two, those are precious days to us.

If we get APL (not what Karen requested) we'll have it on Sunday. If that is the case we'll go.

The request is for PLA, so that would be Thursday. Suz has already indicated she doesn't want to go. I'll ask DS that morning if he wants to do it.

If your ds wants to go and you dont then he can always sit with us - I'll be there swinging my napkin like a mad woman:lmao:

Hey, second to the last page.

Guess it's time for me to go do some work. :rotfl2:

I try to do little work everyday. :rotfl:

I'm just giving you a hard time. You're part of this group so you have every right to get it. Yours count toward team....well it doesn't matter, it's not WI, so who cares. :rotfl2:

Your posts are always welcome. You provide good insight and humor.

Karen:

The family version of Amazing race was the worst one of the series!! It was hard because some teams had little kids with their parents, while some teams were all siblings and one was a guy and his 3 beefy SILs. Not exactly fair. They pretty much stayed in the US too--I think they only went outside the country once. Some contestants seemed disappointed with that. Go hippies!! :hippie: :hippie:

I am reading All the King's Men - saw the new version of the movie last month with Sean Penn and Jude Law (now there's another drool-worthy speciman) and it reminded me that I'd seen both versions of the movie and had never bothered to read the book.

So I went out and got myself a copy - but it's a slower read since it's one of those "thinkie" type book that won a Pulitzer Prize. It's been a while since I've had to slow myself down to read "literature." ;)

There was just a post on the main board. The character breakfast is still Mickey's Jammin' Whatchamacallit!! Apparently, they put on a show that the kid's can participate in, but don't come to the individual tables. Not happy at all about that!

Uh yes, Mr. Law is quite scrumptious!

How dare you put dinky size and Borat in the same sentence. Have you been looking in my windows again? :scared1:

No, Suz doesn't usually go into the water (up to knees maybe), so one for each chair (3) and one for DS and I to dry off (2). Plus, I don't think we can fit more than that in the back pack. We may take 6. I don't remember.

Wow...everyone's been busy this afternoon! I'll go back and catch up after we hit 30K...
