Summer and fall are both great times to visit.. there are some great state parks, lighthouses to visit, wineries (on the to-do-list for next year), fish boils, boating,....the list goes on and on!

Jen,

We sell a lot of the Door County wineries' wines at our store. I've heard they are fun to visit.

I think Karen was talking about a buttie. ;)

Brenda--that just reminded me and you are the only one who will appreciate this: My husband had to wipe out our hard drive so after he did I went on and was expecting my screen saver of our little Zachary, but NO, DH went and replaced it with a picture of a topless King Federer!!! What a great husband. We never discussed the US Open final--wasn't it amazing? I think my heart stopped 4 or 5 times especially during the 2 tie-breaks. Love my man in black.

Hi Victoria!
No problem.... I'm trying to catch up too! about 50 pages worth and I really don't have much time.

Guess while everyone else is online more now that our time is drawing nearer it seems like I'll be on less because I still have so many things to do to get ready for the trip!

I hear ya!!

The past 2 years I've gone up to Door County, DH was only able to go up for the weekend the first year, and we had Thomas with us. Couldn't do the winery. Then last summer, DH couldn't come up at all (saving vacation time for you-know-what in Oct! :rotfl: ) so I didn't go. Next year, if all goes well, DH will be able to come up for the week, and Grandma is coming too, so we will have a sitter! We're going!

Any particular brands/flavors you'd recommend?

Can't seem to get my Boo to show up--I only get the address--what's up with that?

Drool... topless Roger ... yummy! ;)

I was a little worried during that match - it really could have gone either way. Dork-o-vich (as Jay has taken to calling him) is just going to keep getting better - men's tennis should be really good next season! :thumbsup2

PS. Jay was also calling Roger's opponent "choke-o-vich." :rotfl2: It's funny because it's true.

The girl who owns our store used to be married to the family that runs Von Stiehl Winery in Algoma. She has a great relationship with him even though they divorced. Their wine is decent. The other one that could be fun is Stone's Throw Winery. They buy all their grapes from California, but make the wine in Door County. If you like sweet wines and/or wines made from fruit besides grapes try Door Peninsula Wines.

Yep, I have that neat little thing on Windows Vista (One of the few things I like) that has gadgets on the side of your screen. I set up nearly every one of them to monitor weather. One for Orlando (as I type Temp 84 and overcast, Nassau (82 and rainy), Key West (90 and sunny!), Grand Cayman (87 and overcast), and Cozumel (86 and overcast). I peek in on the NOAA website periodically for a looksee at any developing H's. (There are none currently) Not being obsessed about it though. Just curious. I'll be happy anywhere we go. I just want to be on vacation!

Rob has the same thing! I always peek at them when I go by his desk :thumbsup2 I don't have Vista so I don't have that :sad1:

"Choke-o-vich!" I love that!! 5 sets points????? Must have been devastating for him to lose that second set tie-break. Roger reminds me so much of Michael Jordan when he was at his peak--you could just see it in his eyes that "you are not going to beat me--not today" look!

Several Waves (black lines) out in the Atlantic, but you have a low at 1008 MB coming off the coast of Africa (look where the 20 line goes into the land) in the next day or so. That is what I'd be looking at over the next couple days. Tropical Storm (and then Hurricane) Dean became a Tropical Storm with central pressure at 1004 MB. Humberto was at 1003 MB.

I'm not a forecaster, so I know nothing, but that pressure is pretty low and it is still on land.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS, BUT IT DOESNT SOUND GOOD:sad2:

Glad to see you back Jeff. We missed you when we turned 29000:goodvibes

Jeff, that's really cool - where did you get it? I usually hang out at the National Hurricane Center website and they have tons of information but I've never seen a map that's as easy to look at as the one you just posted.

Nope, haven't heard about it, maybe we should check it out on the main cruise board!

Do you remember what thread it was on. I've tried the search function and gave up!

No, not the other ankle. It is hard to discribe. I am thinking about the right side. Lower back upper butt, off to the side more. Then have it wrap around the hip and onto my stomach a little. I am wanting Tinkerbell with her pixie dust. The dust is what would wrap around. I am thinking as soon as we have the money.

Wow that sounds really neat!!
