Jay and I leave for WDW on October 15th - only 29 more days! I have been so busy with work lately that I haven't had a lot of time to DIS. I usually poke in a couple of times during the day but my laptop "blew up" three different times at work over the last couple of weeks so my daytime surfing time has been restricted. We're also in the middle of an acquisition and I've been tied up with a 90-day class that the bank enrolled me in ... lots of homework lately.

Looking for a good book?

While it may not be something you want to read prior to or during your cruise, Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson is really fascinating. It was published around 1999 / 2000 and is the story of the Hurricane that wiped out Galveston, Texas in September 1900 - weaving through the story of Galveston and Isaac Cline, who was the weather bureau chief at that time, are the stories of other Galveston residents and a history of the establishment of the US Weather Bureau. There is also some interesting information about the development of hurricanes during the season.

It's a very readable read, but maybe you should wait until after the cruise.

Time for me and Jay to take our morning walk - We usually get in three miles on the weekends... not sure if I really see a weight loss difference (maybe I should lay off the cheeseburgers) but I do feel better. I guess that counts for something!
