Leave Comments With Care
I have noticed in the dozen or so books/web sites I’ve read while preparing for our cruise that end-of-cruise comments aren’t discussed much. Having worked on a cruise ship (in the salon/spa) for years before husband and child, I know how serious these cruise employees must take the passenger comments at the end of the cruise. For example, with the ship I worked on, if anyone from the wait staff or cabin staff received just one negative comment from a guest, they were terminated. We saw many great people sent home because of some overexaggerated complaint. So please try to keep this in mind when filling out comment cards.

That's a great point, Rose. On our last cruise I actually wrote quite a bit on the comment card and was actually contacted by DCL for some follow up. They really do want to know what people think ... now whether or not they actually do something is another question. ;)

I keep hoping that someone will start a trip report for one of the recent western cruises - havent seen one yet

Jessalynn,

Check out the "Live From" threads as well. Even if it is an Eastern, they'd have the breakfast.

Hey check out this Cruise tip:

Free Up Memory Cards
If you have a digital camera with a memory card, you know how fast those memory cards fill up. If you run out of room and don’t want to delete any precious photos, stop by Shutters, and they can download the contents of your memory card to a CD for about $15.

Pricey, but in a pinch, not bad.

Check out Yahoo.

For $15, just got get a 1-2GB card at Office Max before you leave. That will hold a few hundred pictures. :thumbsup2

Not to mention a CD will only hold about 700+ MB, so your 1 GB card won't fit on the CD.

I'll have my laptop, so I'll be movin' those pics right to it's HD

Steve, I added another Table to the Yahoo Database. It's called, Who What Where When. Just a little something for us all to see who is planning on rebooking on board and when. Check it out and add your info. :thumbsup2

Thanks. I'll look for it.

Steve, here's a couple of avatars for you. Baloo is not easy to find good clip art of!!

Thanks Cass ! I love it!

Karen:

The family version of Amazing race was the worst one of the series!! It was hard because some teams had little kids with their parents, while some teams were all siblings and one was a guy and his 3 beefy SILs. Not exactly fair. They pretty much stayed in the US too--I think they only went outside the country once. Some contestants seemed disappointed with that. Go hippies!! :hippie: :hippie:

I thought that I would like the family version. But I lost interest in just a few episodes.

Here's a little help for you ... I won't post again until you're past 30K.

Congrats Brenda! That's a biggie that you nabbed.

Congrats Brenda. DO you realise you got the 3,000 post on the 2,000 page?

Oop's went into Jeff mode there!:upsidedow

Just checked DCL's site again. Now Cats 10-12 are off along with Cat 4.

Maybe one of the GTY people in one of those Cats can check if anything moved on their ressie.

Again, weird stuff happening on DCL's ressie page.

no fair. i demand a do over.
our internet has been out for the last 4 hrs.(4th day in a row)
couldnt compete in the 30,000.
but congrats to brenda.:thumbsup2
nice to see that wisconsin streak broken up.

are we allowed to do a dance for our mickeys magical express luggage tags?
if so:banana:
we got ours today.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone - I was worried that you might want to ban me from the thread. Then I would have to go hunt down the Ellusive Pimpernel and we would have to drink lots of beer to comfort ourselves after being permanently kicked off the forum. ;)

Just to add to Heather, when we were there in January, I believe it was only Mickey who had a ship's photographer with him. I would have to check our photos to be certain, but they do NOT go around with all the characters.

SO HAVE YOUR CAMERAS READY!

I carry my camera around with me at all times. Yo never know when you might need it. Last September we took part in a team game (can't remember what it was called!) in the Disney Theatre and our team one. The prize was a photo op with about 8 characters. Lots of our team had to rush back to their cabins for their cameras.

Of course Rob is out of town, so what does Kira do??

She took her first step today!!! :yay:

The past few days she has been standing a lot on her own for about 10-30 seconds and today she was standing all on her own for about a minute as I was watching her and then she looked at me and took a step then tried to take another one and she fell on her bum

congrats to kira!!!
i guess by oct there wont be any need for the stroller then.

Not rambling at all Steve. I found this story (as well as all your others) quite interesting. Will you be our tour guide if we ever visit sunny CA? :flower3: BTW..I showed Chuck your house decorations and he is quite impressed. Maybe a tad bit jealous too.
.

ditto to that. all these guys on here are making me look bad.:sad1:
i fear one day robin will realize she can do better than me.:scared:

Do you carry yours in a case? Or in a fanny pack/purse?

The reason I ask is that I want to carry my camera EVERYWHERE! I have 5 gigs'worth of memory to fill up on this cruise! But I'm not sure if I should use my camera case (has a long shoulder strap) or try to find something better....
