This is the biggest problem that I see with our Jury system. As a result of the way jurors are treated, most of us take great pains to avoid the whole affair. This leaves those in the jury box who aren't always the best cross-section of society. I try to always appear with a good attitude but truth is, a prolonged trial would bankrupt me at $5/day (Heck that doesn't even pay for lunch!) I'll be praying for you.

DH is perfectly willing to go in and serve on a jury, and do his duty. He's that kind of guy. However, knowing in advance if you get picked for that jury that you WILL be sequestered, makes it a bit less appealing, you know?

Fortunately, he's a salaried position, so it won't affect our income (if he wasn't, THEN I would be working overtime and donating plasma every day! ) but boy, I'll miss him if he's gone.

Jurors here get $16/day, but still...that's not even minimum wage for a day!

DH here... AZ pays $8 a day plus milage. Last time I was on jury duty, I got $10 for a whole day.

DH here...Hi Paige, I know you are transplanted to Virginia, but I just heard that LSU is expected to go undefeated this year. Unless Auburn gets to them.

DH here....Hi Steve. In regards to getting to the transfer table in time. I told Carrie that since I am used to pulling 24-36 hours straight, I will stand guard at that table.

We're keeping our fingers crossed! The Auburn game is the Saturday that we cruise, so if the game is on in the bar, everyone will get to hear Rob's yelling! Florida will be tough also. We feel like the SEC is the toughest conference in college football.

LSU looked so good against VA Tech that it scares us for the next few weeks. After that win, it would be horrible for them to lose to a non-ranked team like Tulane or La Tech.
