Wow just imagine un-packing at Cass's old house and finding the tickets "Holy s**t the previous owners are sending us on a cruise"....:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

That would be HORRIBLE :scared1:

But we put in for a change of address with Canada Post so our mail gets redirected but sometimes can take 3-5 to get it here. We don't want to have to wait 3-5 extra days now do we?? :rotfl: Not if I am gonna win that who gets their docs first contest :lmao:

Hi UKer's

Hi:wave2:

Hello sir,a question for my fellow UK travellers (maybe Cass up there in Canada too)when are we likely to get our cruise tickets..:confused3 As did i mention were only 32 days away from blast off....
32 days
776 hours
46594 minutes
2795646 seconds

Not that were counting or anything....:rolleyes1

I booked direct with Disney - cant wait for that packet to arrive

Our neighbour had ours for over a week and forgot to give them to us. Only after we had phoned Disney to ask where they had got to, did they say that they had a signature, that we were able to track them down. Panic really started to set in, I'm telling you!

Heather

So, Heather, how did you torture them? I would have left "its a small world" playing on repeat as loud as possible with the speakers angled towards their house when we left for two weeks:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hello my name is Nancy,am black Swedish and am 25....Oh and drop dead gorgeous....:rolleyes1

Come midnight they'll be calling me kong....:rolleyes1

Hiya Kong;)

Jen needs to smile today....

this may help

Just checked my countdown.....

29 days!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo:  :cool1: :yay:

We are in the twenties WOW
I have so much to do still

I did start packing last night, got about 60% done I would say.
I got my mother-in-law to pick me up some 2 gallon ziploc bags last time she was in the USA and I used them to pack our clothes, filled them, knelt down on them and squeezed the air out, OMG, that worked SO well! They take up much less room and shouldn't wrinkle too much!! :thumbsup2

I also did a yellow one for me. Mike said he was not going to wear yellow so I got him red. The color doesn't show up as well, but it still looks good.

I made a couple for each of us. We always take a t-shirt to wear in case we want to protect ourselves from the sun. We were laughing at pics of the last cruise because every pic we were wearing the same t-shirt.

Those Turned out great! I wish I had see yours before doing ours, I would have definately copied yours.

Hold up Steve. If we are contending with other hotels then maybe we should form a united front. I think you and I should get together and go down early. At that point all the spouse and kids and finish up the morning and bring us something to eat. When the time gets closer then the families can join us. How does that sound? That way all of us can be on the bus together.

I heartily agree. We need to coordinate. That'll allow for bathroom breaks, etc.

Scott is supposed to work 5 12's this week but he is taking vacation time for 2 nights so we can go up to the cabin for the weekend.

Hmm I have packed for the cruise but I have not packed for our weekend away.

This sounds so much like my work schedule! I try to keep it down to 4 12's per week but lately it has been more.

One more question about the door decoration..........what do people put on their door signs? do people put pictures of the family/children up or just pictures of Disney?

any concerns about having a picture of your child on the door of your cabin?

Thanks again
Jessalynn

I kept mine farily generic. I identified ourselves as "The Joseph's" but that's about as personal as I got. I didn't forget the KK insignia though. There's a lot to say for group identification. I've seen others decorations on the boards that had pictures of the family on it.

I am really whipped tonight.

I went to the hospital to see my Dad and he just cried off and on. He's missing my Mom. It was so sad. They have a piano in the unit, so I had him sit with me at the piano while I played. He used to play too, but really can't remember much.

Tomorrow I'm taking some sheet music with me that we used to play together. That hopefully will give him a brief moment of joy.

I think that he will love that.

That's too funny... I was going to put Tart Annihilator on the back too. But I figured people would look at my fat butt and say "She better lay off the tarts."

Sure, feel free to copy it. We'll have a smoothie together. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

Good morning everyone!

I'm sort of freaking out a bit this morning...so please post some fun stuff to distract me! (No, work isn't a distraction, lol).

DH has to go in today for jury duty. Normally, this would not be a big deal. However, I read in our local paper yesterday that july selection begins today for a murder trial, and they've already decided the jurors will be sequestered for 2 weeks!!!! :scared1: Now, I understand our civic duties and all, but I really do not like the idea of not seeing DH for 2 weeks, not to mention how I explain to my 4 year old DS why daddy isn't home. Aack!

Anyway, please send some goods vibes our way that DH will be selected for a different trial or not at all....

This is the biggest problem that I see with our Jury system. As a result of the way jurors are treated, most of us take great pains to avoid the whole affair. This leaves those in the jury box who aren't always the best cross-section of society. I try to always appear with a good attitude but truth is, a prolonged trial would bankrupt me at $5/day (Heck that doesn't even pay for lunch!) I'll be praying for you.

Chris, If I haven't said it before... I so envy you for your back to back cruises. That and the fact that you will already be relaxing onboard while we are all fighting crowds in airports, and traffic to the port to get to where you will be.

We have to have a prize for the first person to declare that they have received their documents.....ooo, it's exciting. I love it when the packet arrives. You know that you're nearly there.

Come on...who's going to be the first?

Perhaps Chris of Elizabeth? Anyone care to take any bets?

Heather

It will not be me. AAA as a terrible habit of getting them, sitting on them for a week before they call and let us know they have them. Then I can only get down there on a Friday to get them.

This Friday I am out of town, so we will have to see if I know about them for next Friday.

Yep, I'm out of luck there. AAA will get it before me.

These are great pics. She is sure photogenic.

Cass....those pics of Kira are TOO CUTE! I'm still chuckling...thanks! I do feel better. :goodvibes

I think you should use those exact captions when you scrap them...especially the angry eyes one!

DH is perfectly willing to go in and serve on a jury, and do his duty. He's that kind of guy. However, knowing in advance if you get picked for that jury that you WILL be sequestered, makes it a bit less appealing, you know?

Fortunately, he's a salaried position, so it won't affect our income (if he wasn't, THEN I would be working overtime and donating plasma every day!:scared1: ) but boy, I'll miss him if he's gone.

Jurors here get $16/day, but still...that's not even minimum wage for a day!
