Not that this should come as a surprise to anyone ... AFEG ... but Jay and I have had the lovely and delectable Konked Cooler on Castaway Cay and I wish I were drinking one right now.

I have the recipe at home, but I can tell you the drink includes dark and light rum, orange juice, passion fruit, and cream of coconut. When we bought ours they were selling them in normal boring plastic cups or souvenir cups (I have a picture at home, too).

So... are they good? YES! Should you try one? YES! Should you drink it fast? YES! Or it will get melty and gross.

Lemme know if you want the recipe and I'll try to dig it up. :goodvibes

I must have one of these, Brenda.

Got a door sign question...since you brought it up...

I was hoping to do ears for the number on the door porthole...do you happen to have a pattern or dimensions? Could you help me, pretty please????

They look so cute on other people's pics...

You know, before I found these boards I would not be doing half the stuff I am doing for this cruise (door signs, DIStag, "fish extender")...but this is all the fun stuff!

I'd like to do this as well.

I forgot to tell the WI KKers, if you are flying Midwest to Orlando for the cruise, they moved their gates.

I know I posted a while back that AirTran was moving to the same concourse as Midwest, just down a different arm (to the right, where MW was straight ahead).

Well, we flew Midwest down and they have now moved to gate 2 or something like that (down that wing). It is a completely different concourse (not as nice either - seemed a bit worn). It is now through Terminal A, not B. It must have been recent because even Budget thought I was coming in on the other side. Midwest use to come in Gate 84, 86 or 87 (can't remember).

So Nancy, you won't have Nathan's when you get off the plane waiting for the kids. Sorry.

Here is a link to the restaurants and shops in Orlando. You would be in Airside 1 (use to be 4):

Here is a link to which airlines are in which Airsides/Terminal:

At least you got out and did something special and without any kids around and not too expensive either!
:thumbsup2

DH here...What a fun relaxing evening. We even had fun in the book store looking a a few books;) . But the best part was the uninterupted converasation at dinner. I am looking forward (planing) to the next one.:goodvibes

DH here....Did not notice any:goodvibes

good evening. I'm sitting here while dinner cooks. Just catching up from work.
Jeff, we loved the Pirate and Princess Party. Tell us how you liked it. We also loved the fireworks!!!!!

Again, no internet and limited email at work today. It's making me a little crazy!! It's so close to the cruise and our internet decides to act up.

:scared1:

Wow!
:sad2: Absolutely not me!
I've got clothes downstairs that have been waiting to be ironed for 1/2 year!

Will you do all mine on the cruiseship because you enjoy it so much!:rotfl:

Nancy, you wanna come over and do my ironing?? I hate ironing, and I try to avoid it at all costs! So I am a little wrinkly, who cares?? :lmao: :rotfl2:

Gladly girls! :hippie:

Jeff, still waiting on those pics....we ALL need a Disney fix at this point, and yeah, you can only watch my videos so many times, right Nanc? ;) :rolleyes1

I think I'm good for a few more viewings before we leave. I'm truly hoping for my own autographed copy of the dvd for 2007.:woohoo:

No one cares to hear about the weekend, do they? You don't want details of the Pirate and Princess Party, the special fireworks or the Dining Plan which we had (it was free this weekend) or the other parks we went to, do you?

I care and I wanna see.:3dglasses

Totally off topic but does anyone know what the conked cooler drink is served in? - coconut shell or cocktail glass:confused3

Who has had one? Are they delicious?

Here you go Karen. They are delicious, they are real and they are spectacular!! (Cinnamike...sound familiar?):rotfl:

Guess what!?

Jay and I are going to Vegas next May - he has an aunt and uncle who live out there who are like an older version of the two of us (be afraid... be very afraid) and we haven't been out there to see them in about 4 years.

All of a sudden the hubby says let's go see them next Spring and yours truly found a room at the Bellagio ... squee ... for $199 per night for the length of our visit!

I'm so excited... pools... spa ... fabu food!!!

Fantastic Brenda!! Does that mean no May trip to Florida next year? Leaving some time for a cruise in 2009 maybe?? Do tell!

So Nancy, you won't have Nathan's when you get off the plane waiting for the kids. Sorry.

That's probably a good thing. I think a Nathan's would freak out my colon anyway. :scared1:

You are correct. It was all under $25 I think, which is very good for us. And I really needed the time without the kids after the whole day. It really helped me out alot. I am so glad that he thought of it for that night.

Jeff: Congrats on being the first to reach another KK milestone. If our internet w/h/b working today, I would've given you a run for your money.

Jen: Do we get to meet you this Sunday? It should be a lot of fun again.

Susan: Did you get your package today?

Cass: Am I putting enough postage on your mail?

115 more posts and I will assume the role of LindyLoo. I better brush up on my cute little UK accent.

Hope you two found some enjoyable reading material.
Any recommendations I should know about?;)

Here are our stats:

We are still in 6th place but very close to knocking off 5th place which is actually a hold over from Dec 2004.

We are just over 300 posts from them. I see us passing them easily by the weekend.

Then the long journey begins to get us to 4th place. They are currently at 31,437, so a little over 5,400 to go. This should be doable by the time of the cruise.

We will not make it to 3rd because we'd need to be in the 50's.

The group we passed last week is now over 800 behind us, but they will eventually knock us from our spot once our cruise is over. They don't sail until next May.

Next May? Dang... they are heavy posters. Have you lurked there? Have they cruised together before or something?

Now Karen. You keep making comments on being overweight. You need to stop doing this. You look absolutly perfect. I do not think you are over weight at all.

OMG I do so agree... if you think you are overweight you might just pass out dead away when you meet me.

Speaking of pictures...

Does anyone wish they'd spent LESS time taking pictures on a vacation?

The reason I ask...I love taking pictures, and I have 5 gig's worth of memory cards coming with me on this cruise. Will I end up taking so many pics that I miss doingstuff? Thoughts, anyone?

Counting down....:hourglass

Absolutly not. I love taking pictures. I feel that they are the best way for all of us to relive the vacation years afterwards. That and I put them in albums, have them on the computer and now I will be scrap booking them. I plan on take lots of pictures. I just hate taking video so the is DH's job. I am taking about the same in memory and am worried about not having enough. DD is also taking my old digital so I can always use that one if need be. DS is taking the old film kind and lots of film so worse case I use that also.
