Hey guys - my Better Half is looking to order me a surprise gift to be waiting for me in our cabin as a part of my birthday present! Was just looking at the Disney Gift list and then I remembered that everyone on the site was recommending a different place - what was the name and web site?

Any problems using a non-disney company and getting the gift into the cabin on time???

any recommendations on what they do well??

THanks for the help

BTW - anyone use the Disney one and have a good or bad experience?

The one I've heard tons about on the boards is A Perfect Gift

http://www.theperfectgift.cc/

I called he a while back and she gave me some different ideas. I'm getting a snad pail for DS with sand toys (for CC) as well as some snacks/goodies. SHe even asked me if he had any food allergies (which I would not have thought about). I'm also getting a canvas tote with a bottle of wine and champagne for the grown-ups!

Since this is my first cruise, I do not know about any problems with delivery with Shirley or with anyone else. Shirley does post on the DISboards and the Cruise Critic boards, and has posted a lot of helpful information on the Port Canaveral area, as well as having tons of info on Key West, being an old conch herself!

Wow, Major slow posting night! Everyone enjoying the holiday weekend?

Well, My Hurricane watching continues: Hurricane Felix is bearing down on the Caribbean as we speak! Cat 1 following the same path as Hurricane Dean. We'll know by Wednesday if it is a threat or not.

Steve - what ww site are you watching?

Heather

Morning all....

Just wanted to catch up from yesterday...although it looks like it was a slow night.

What are you all doing with your free day tomorrow? Anything exciting?

Heather

PS - Someone might be able to answer this one - some years ago I picked up on an american saying about not wearing white/white shoes after labour day. Anyone know what this refers to?

Kitchen pics..excuse the mess, it's not done yet

Love your house Cass and the unconventional layout. Would love a house like this. Keep dreaming.

Heather

Looks like we might have some rain today...nothing changes, even on a Sunday.

heather

It must be a new page by now........

Heather

Anyone else noticed that we are nearly at the less than 1 month to go point?

Heather

At last, FO......page 1706. My work is done for this afternoon.

Heather

Mackenzie had her first fire drill at school today. She said it was really loud and scared her that she was plugging her ears and yelling for mommy. Talk about tugging at the heart strings. However now all she can talk about our things cathing on fire. The house, the car, the ship, the school, my work, daddy's work.

Nearly all the kids at the school where I worked reacted like this. Its a shame, and several had nightmares etc afterwards. A good plan is to do a similar thing at home if you dont already. It might alleviate some of her worries if she has the plan in her head and knows what to do.

TILL WE MEET AGAIN

Ooooooh ! - I like this menu - one of everything please - ps - will someone remind me to wear an elasticated waistband for this evening:rotfl2:

Something that our wedding planner told us is that if we sent out 200 invites only expect 30 to 40% to RSVP. Most peole these days just show up. So our planner told us to order an additional 20 meals above the RSVP number.

Holy cow! - really? - in England almost everyone replies really quickly. You may have to chase the odd few but on the whole your replies come in quickly. There is no way I would order food for people who may or may not show up - how disrespectful that they dont answer:eek:

I am just the opposite. I will do some wine, not many, and alot of foo foo drinks.

ok,...whats a foo foo?:confused3

Look what I got in the mail today!!

here fishy fishy fishy

fish.jpg

Ewk! - sorry but I hate fish. I cannot stand swimming in seas with loads of fish - I'll be the nutter splashing around in ankle deep water petrified incase one comes near me.

Morning Californians ...:)

Morning, Chris. I'm hoping for a great day. (it's cooler this morning so that can't be bad.)

Steve - what ww site are you watching?

Heather

NOAA-Here's their tracking map for Felix.

What are you all doing with your free day tomorrow? Anything exciting?

PS - Someone might be able to answer this one - some years ago I picked up on an american saying about not wearing white/white shoes after labour day. Anyone know what this refers to?

It's customary to wear light colors in the spring and summer and Dark colors in the fall and winter. Advice I largely ignore. But good luck finding white shoes in the fall. Black shoes sell pretty well year round.

As to Labor day... I'll be Laboring. The ER knows no holiday.

Well, off to work.

To answer the number of guest question for our wedding, we invited I think 175, 140-150 responded they'd come and about 130 only showed up.

Not sure if we'd do the big wedding again. Much rather spend the money on something useful like a house down payment.

Would have much rather had the cash we dropped on the wedding to use around the house though.

Suz says DS should get married in Mexico or on a Caribbean island. We'd pay for his and his brides vacation and anyone in our families. It would be cheaper.

We got married in Florida, had a month there doing exactly as we pleased then came home and had a big xmas evening party all for less than a traditional english wedding. We were already living together:rolleyes1 , but the money we saved sure helped with some renovation work on the house.

Hello eveyone, im back on as ME !!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Woo Hoo! - Its Lindy Loo!   - welcome back my friend:hug:

chris has been out on a secret mission and we havnt heard much from him. and karen is out on a holiday in spain i think. maybe they are traveling together.:confused3

Yeah right!...even if we were he'd be up there in first class and I'd be sitting in cattle:rotfl2:

Picture it....Saturday Oct 20th

There is some Austrailian lady sitting amongst us, and she insists she's a KK, but we can't understand her and her shirt looks a little weird.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: - this sounds just about right:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
