I have just been so busy lately. Of course, it might help if I stay off the boards in the evenings.

Laura and I have been working on our packing list.

I wanted to jump in and say hello to everyone. I'm Laura, Steve's wife and I am really beginning to get excited for our cruise. Steve talks so much about everyone on here that I started feeling left out so of course I had to get to know you for myself. Thank you for sharing your photos and previous cruise experiences with us.

Ok, got a big question for you all....

Need some advice...................


This weekend Bob and I were supposed to go see Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles in Pittsburgh.
Bob's favorite team are the Steelers.

He was so excited and his sister lives there so we'd be driving there with a couple of Bob's friends and his stepdad and then all hanging out for a day before the game then going early to Heinz Stadium and doing a tailgate party before the game and then driving home on Monday.

Well, after it was all planned and he bought the tickets, his boss told him that his vacation time was DENIED for Monday, so he couldn't go.

He is SO dissappointed.

I said we'd go another time.

He said..... " don't you know that the season tickets are so much more expensive and they're already sold out!?"


Well, I checked into it!

They're not sold out and they aren't too outrageous.... perhaps $100-$150 a piece.

Anyway, Bob's birthday is in November, on the 13th. There are 2 games in Pittsburgh with the Steelers then.

One is the Steelers vs. the Cleveland Browns
it is on Sunday 11/11 at 1pm at Heinz Stadium.

The other is Steelers vs. the Miami Dolphins
it is on Monday 11/26 at 8:30 pm also at Heinz Stadium.

I'm thinking of buying tickets for his birthday to one of these games.
Which one would be better and why?

Please give me your opinions because:

I really never, ever watch football and have no clue!

I'd pick a Monday Night Football game myself. Just my opinion though.

Pathetic, isn't it.

We used to have a packing list when we took the kids to Fla., but they're grown now. That's list has changed dramatically.

robin will love that one. im sure we will go there as she loves lighthouses.

what a small world. I love lighthouses. My house is all decorated with lighthouses. Walt and I have been to at least 70-75 lighthouses. We consider ourselves Lighthouse nuts. We have a statue of almost every lighthouse we have been to. They are hard to find. I am missing around 20 of them. How was your visit with your daughter. Diane

Evening everyone. I have been reading for an hour off and on and still have 50 pages to catch up on. I though I would at least say hi this evening. I will be heading to bed shortly. I will try to catch up more at work tomorrow if possible.

I agree Nancy. I couldn't believe it when I saw 1599 when I logged in. I hadn't read since Thur. afternoon so I was on page 1515. I am now on page 1550. But I hate to miss out on anything. i know it is mostly just chatter but i like to keep up.

We had a great time. She & I went & bought curtains for the studio. She and her boyfriend really have it fixed up nice. We sat up half the night talking.

I got to watch her in action yesterday. She was taking senior pics. I was impressed. (For being only 20, she was very professional)

Hi! I've been enjoying a 3 day stretch off of work and posting a lot!

I think I'm calling it a night too. I have some bloodwork being done first thing in the morning and I've been fasting for it. I'm so stinkin' hungry right now that my best bet is to go to bed instead.

Then after the bloodwork, I get to go to the Dentist for my crown!! Yippee, Skippee!! I won't be eating until noon. I'm going to be one crabby Mother Goose tomorrow.
