Here's my complaint for the day....
(Ha, Ha, like I'd only have one for the whole day )

Last night as my girlfriend and I went out to Chili's for margarita's my son calls my cell phone and says:
"Hi mom, I'm taking apart your computer and replacing it with the motherboard from my old one (he just built his new one 2 weeks ago)"

"Oh, no you're not! "

"Yes, I am, don't worry it will be fine and will work much faster and you will be able to do more things at once."

I come home, it's done,
Yippee! It is working better.

He defragments my computer while we're sleeping....

I wake up today.... it asks me to restart my computer....
I do....
my moniter won't work! No picture!

Sean says my moniter is probably old,
so I switch it to a new unused one I had downstairs.....

Nope, it doesn't work with that one either!

I just sent him a text message at work.
YOU'D BETTER FIX THIS WHEN YOU GET HOME!!!!

So, now I'm on his computer.....
had to find all my favorites on here, get my passwords from my room...

AACK!

Thanks for the healthy wishes - am doing OK ... as miserable as the heat is around here this time of year it helps keep my joints loose. I'm dreading the return of winter this year... I think it's going to be NAISD-City for me come November.

Not long now ... only six more weeks and you will be in WDW!!!!

Yes, I hear you about winter! I am hoping I can hang on at least until we get back from this trip before I have to go back on meds. I did my stint with NSAIDS and I don't wanna go back But I don't think my body agrees with me

Wow, SO glad you are OK!!! I think the following week after your accident, my brother-in-law rolled my MIL's van. The ONE time they needed OnStar and it didn't work. Note to OnStar users, don't ROLL your vehicle

I'm not an official "KK Loser," but I can tell you that my move did me in as well, Cass. Don't feel alone. I so wish i was one of those "I can't eat when I am stressed" people!

Yup, getting back on the proverbial horse..ahem...elliptical. I just need to recover from this exhaustion (sp?) first. I have ZERO energy. And I still have a billion things to do! I've given myself the rest of the week to get organized and NOT feel guilty about not working out but come Monday, watch out, I am back on the horse Sadly, that only leaves me with 5 weeks.

Morning everyone
Apparently, our order for ADSL was cancelled by an agent at the phone company by mistake and not reordered SO when I called on Tuesday, they said it would take 3-5 business days to get a tech out for internet Oh I don't think so!! I told Rob to speak to the manager and tell him that if we don't have internet by tomorrow we will be cancelling both our cell phones, our home phone AND his 3 business phone lines and will be going with the other company. It was being worked on at 10AM WEdnesday and was completed around 6pm.

Way to go! Girl!

Hmmm. It was working when I asked you for a restart then did not fire up with the rest of the computer right? Did you get any signs of life when starting the computer (Bios splash screen, etc) If you got nothing at all then chances are that in the migration to the new motherboard, the video card was not seated all the way. It was seated enough to work but any sort of small jarring action could have broken it's connection. If you are getting the boot up screens but nothing with windows then you have a driver issue. Sean should know how to correct this. It's a bit more complicated, but you need to boot the computer into safe mode then replace the driver with a generic one, then reboot into windows and go online for the newest drivers for your videocard.

My mom's arm is healing. She is doing physical therapy and gettin gbetter each day. She had both of her hips replaced a few years ago, so I was so thankful that it was just her arm.

I hope it works, because when we took out my old motherboard we noticed that a spot on it looked browned/burned...
and it was where my usb ports and camera cards were in the front of the computer..... they had just stopped working for unknown reason about a week ago, so i really don't want him to put that old board back in, but do not want an added expense of buying a new board now.

I'll have Sean give this a try when he's home from work

Yeah, they were all ok, they are all in physio now I think. It was him, his girlfriend and her three kids, thankfully no serious injuries. He swirved to keep from hitting a deer but he was going a little fast for the road conditions and ended up rolling it.

Oh! the paid for ones are the worst to lose! I told my wife that if we ever totalled the Explorer, we were sunk financially. At this point I just can't do another car payment.

I wouldn't trust the old MOBO. I'm pretty sure that unless something catastrophic happened, the mobo is not the cause of what happened this morning. Let me know if you or sean have any questions about the problem and I'll try to help the best I can w/o eyes on.

Hi everyone It's lunch time at work so I'm trying to get caught up here a little. I couldn't get back on last night because after some things started downloading onto our computer themselves last night while Al was surfing the net he finally decide to update our antivirus and computer security and it took a couple hours for him to get it all done. Wow you guys were talkative last night, I see you got beyond 25000 posts so it looks like I have lots of catching up to do and now my phone is ringing, hopefully it's not an add-on patient for me to do.
