Is anyone going to be bringing an umbrella? I was thinking about brining one, but that means only 2 could fit under it so I would really need to bring 3 so now I am not so sure.

I thought we suspended the QotD this week to do the Menus.

Am I wrong?

We can stop the menus so Nancy can have a QotD. What do the rest of you want to do?

Hello everyone..I have found a pc and can quickly pop on to say Hi to you all ! Im so excited, as ive missed the DIS and you guys really badly!.

I spoke to Chris quickly from work yesterday.... and I now know Karen ois in Sunny spain, lucky her!

Not much to report .... surveyor still drawing up a list of jobs, so builders cant quopte yet!

I emialed disney and explained our situation, they wont or coulnt give us a palo brunch booking, which is such a shame. I will try when we get on the boat, but Im not too hopeful for that

Havent read any of the previous million pages ! hows the hurricande Dean affecting the cruises ??? hope all the boats are ok and sailing around the storms... We went to Cancun a few years ago, to Moon Palace it was right on the beach and we had a wonderful time,. it would be so sad to see all the lovely hotels and land ruined!

Is anyone planning on doing laundry on the cruise?

Not really...I may throw something in the wash if someone spills (for example, if DH spills on his khaki pants that I am only bringing 1 or 2 pairs for the dining room, or my only black pants) but I vacation to escape laundry!

Don't know about board games, but Rick and I are huge UNO addicts. Also recently got into Rummycub.

I have read that their are hair dryers in the rooms, what has everyones experience been with these? Do they work and if so do they get hot enough. I have been in hotels that have them and they don't work all the time.

So I was thinking just to be safe to bring mine.

It is picture day for the girls at school today. I can not wait to get them back and see how they turned out.

My DS is not in school yet, but I LOVE having pictures taken!

So let me ask you a question. I really don't want to do laundry either. My dh is going to wear black slacks for formal and semi formal and may be a few other nights. I think he only is going to wear khaki one night. So I should be fine with one pair of Khaki for him but what about black. Do you think he could do one pair of black for the rest of the week. Or should I pack 2 pair. I have to buy a second pair if I need 2.

I know my DH, and he will probably only wear his nicer slacks for dinner/shows. He will wear jeans/shorts during the day. If your DH alternates between the black and khaki, I don't see any need to buy and pack a 2nd pair. But, then, I haven't cruised before

I know I will be posting all the same kinds of dilemmas once I start packing too!

Every cruise we do.

We only bring 1/2 the close needed for the week and wash them on Monday (we are usually down 2-3 days before the cruise, so this is our mid-point).

This way we don't have to take all that luggage. Learned the first cruise that you will wear a lot less than you think that week. We were usually in our swimsuits and t-shirts all day.

A tip for those of you talking about packing. Pick colors that work together. I usually pick two colors and then take 2 pants and 3 shirts (formal for 2 nights, so I don't have to worry about those) that I can mix and match with each other. 1/2 the clothes, but slightly different outfit each time.

Also, anything will go with a Lime Green Sling-shot Swimsuit.
