DH here.... Hi Cass sorry I have not been around to chat, just have problems with DIS going down around mid. With it going down I am unable to get on after I watch my shows that I have taped. I promis to do a better effort at it for the night owls of the thread.

Hey, no problem! I won't be around much during the evening for the next week.

I was pleased with the nominations yesterday, but I was shocked by the end! This bunch has backdoored more players than any previous Big Brother!

Yup, it's been quite the season! The only one left I like is Dick! Go Dick Go!!!

Take Care Rob! I hate to see a perfectly good computer go down the tubes. When moving mine, it is always packed in blankets and rides up front in the car with me!

Rob keeps all the original boxes so they are packed well, and I think we will be taking our own computers over on Friday night! WE have 4 of them

I worked a 16 hour shift today and it felt every bit of 24! It was a very intense, hectic day. I barely got to sit down at all and when I did I only had time to think about how badly my feet hurt! It has been a very bad emotionally draining weekend for my co-workers and I. I'm hoping that the bad stuff ends soon.

But now that I think about it, Rob needs his computer Friday morning so I can sneak on his puter and weigh in.

Don't know about board games, but Rick and I are huge UNO addicts. Also recently got into Rummycub.

I love playing games, but we rarely do anymore. I love trivia games and most card games. But I hate Canasta and that's the ONLY freaking game that Rob's family plays

I love euchre, but have no one to play with. I love any "trump" game like Hearts etc.

We also had the same cake topper, but we had no cake

Rob and I told my mom that we decided to get married (we weren't officially engaged yet though.) and she ran out in her jammies (she was very sick by then and didn't care what people thought, she just wanted to be comfy) all the way to the Disney Store and bought us that cake topper.

She died a couple of months later before we got engaged. I'm glad we told her that we were going to get married though, at least she knew before she left.

Anyway, long story short, I didn't want to plan a big wedding without my mom so we got married in Vegas. We had lots of people come down for it, it was planned, not last minute. But I didn't want a lot of frills and didn't want to chance my cake topper being broken, so I kept it at home and skipped the cake

It sits right next to our other Disney wedding stuff.

Guess we have our joke of the day.

I don't think they'll ever give us a reasonable search. It has been about 9 months now and they have done NOTHING to correct it. EVERYONE complains about it, yet they don't listen. At least DCL listens when the DIS masses complain to them (got our $100 per person upcharge for the repo cruise refunded).

I know as of April the Mods could still use the old search engine. Why not give us that back.

You could do search on our thread right now for "pirate" and nothing would come up, even though I just typed it and we have discussed it in length regarding the Pirate Excursion on GC.

You can do a search for my posts, and nothing will come up.

Can you tell how I feel about this?

They are working on a new search and so far it works great! You have to go to the main Dis Boards page and choose the "California Gold" theme, that's the only version it works on right now, but it works great so far

Is anyone planning on doing laundry on the cruise?

Normally we don't but with a baby, I think we will have to. Oh well, we will have more down time on this cruise!

Hello everyone..I have found a pc and can quickly pop on to say Hi to you all ! Im so excited, as ive missed the DIS and you guys really badly!.

I spoke to Chris quickly from work yesterday.... and I now know Karen ois in Sunny spain, lucky her!

Not much to report .... surveyor still drawing up a list of jobs, so builders cant quopte yet!

I emialed disney and explained our situation, they wont or coulnt give us a palo brunch booking, which is such a shame. I will try when we get on the boat, but Im not too hopeful for that

I have read that their are hair dryers in the rooms, what has everyones experience been with these? Do they work and if so do they get hot enough. I have been in hotels that have them and they don't work all the time.

So I was thinking just to be safe to bring mine.

The hairdryers onboard SUCK! Bring your own!

Is anyone going to be bringing an umbrella? I was thinking about brining one, but that means only 2 could fit under it so I would really need to bring 3 so now I am not so sure.

No, we always take panchos because we always need them at Disney World. (so they're already in our bag)

A tip for those of you talking about packing. Pick colors that work together. I usually pick two colors and then take 2 pants and 3 shirts (formal for 2 nights, so I don't have to worry about those) that I can mix and match with each other. 1/2 the clothes, but slightly different outfit each time.

I try to do the same thing.

Really? This will be our 5th trip in October and it has only ever rained on us THREE times! And it only lasted a few minutes each time! Considering we usually spend 2.5 weeks there each trip, that's pretty good.

Although we LOVE the rain so it sucks for us!

Actually, last time after the cruise it POURED for several hours one day. Of course, we were both REALLY sick and held up in our room at the WL. I was so sick I didn't even want to stay on the balcony to watch it rain. You know I'm REALLY sick when I don't watch the rain!

We've never had a problem with rain on our cruises (except for the 2nd one in Nassau).

We take them when we go to Disney World (you know how Florida is) in the summer because they always get that afternoon rain. We just always make sure we have them.

OK, did it with a "simple search" and the same things come up under Defult as do under California Gold.

Advanced Search brings back nothing under either.

Would be much simpler to just bring back the original search engine.

Until it is completely fixed, you can't search a thread because it only works on the California Gold theme. If you go to our cruise thread, it displays the DCL colours only so it won't work.

Either way, I have been doing a lot of searching lately and I've had NO problems whatsoever. Not like before when you could type in a simple word and get no results, like Jeff said before.
