Since my dad had his by pass surgery in March, I have noticed so many others who have experienced the same thing........Amazing to me.

The staph aureus damaged his heart in a matter of a few days. He had to have 2 valves replaced and the septum repaired and now has a pacemaker.

We email back and forth from work just about every day. She's fine, just taking a DISbreak. She needs to get her creative juices flowing again before she can finish her TR's. I told her to hop on our thread and that no one is creative around here.

His Doctors can't believe he lived through it. He's a lucky guy.

And that makes us lucky too then.

Question for all the ladies

I am in process of packing and have a question. All the girls and I have strapless or spagetti strap dresses. We all also have shawls that we can bring if need be for dinner. Would we need them?

He had his surgery 1 year prior to our first cruise. Surgery was in 2001. We probably shouldn't gone so soon. It wore him out pretty good. He had a long recovery because he had bacterial endocarditis and staph aureus.

His Doctors can't believe he lived through it. He's a lucky guy.

Wow! So glad he made it through. In sickness and health, right? I would say that you are both lucky, as it is so obvious how close you two are.

Question for all the ladies

I am in process of packing and have a question. All the girls and I have strapless or spagetti strap dresses. We all also have shawls that we can bring if need be for dinner. Would we need them?

Not sure what you are asking. Would you need them because of the temperature or would you need them because of some sort of dress code? I plan on bringing a shawl just in case there is a chill in the air.....Luckily that's easy to slip into the suitcase and is not heavy.
