I think I am going for the FO record this evening!! :lmao:

Nancy,
I was looking for Willshire, England as Linda has it listed on the KK site as where she lives but I can't seem to find it on the map...without giving me her address, is that the correct town/city??

I have it listed as Wiltshire. Does that help?

Hmm, well I found it on Google Maps, but I don't think that's where she lives...it's a huge area of green field....no houses??? :confused3

Morning the Kkk's gang,How sad for Lindy loo,let me start by saying Willshire is what you guys call a state am about 200 miles away from Lindy loo but am more than happy to make the drive to deliver anything you guys send, however coming to "know" LL over the last 12 months as i do the simple fact all you wacky loon tunes over there think enough about her to think of such a gesture will have her bubbling for weeks :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:,she's a top bird and i for one can't wait to buy her a drink or three....

ps...Why not?... Nancy write e-mail then send it on to Cass and so on and we all leave a short message like "We all miss you Lindy loo It's your round dear" then when we've all "signed" it send on to Lindy and Wayne?.....:)

Good morning everyone

Cass was getting very frustrated taking pics yesterday, Kira likes to move a lot now so this is a rare moment in time for the picture.

Dangle one of those biscuits just out of reach Cass - it worked for your "mom" video:thumbsup2

Uh-oh, my five year old just told me he "cleaned" my room. What do you think that means?

Oh Oh....god help you if its anything like Ellis' cleaning:scared1: - if he did a good job send him to my house to clean my windows:rolleyes:

Anyhow, here is the QotD:

What are your "must have" food items on this cruise? List now more than 3 to 5 items.

First time cruisers, you can answer this based on what you've read on the board or from the menu's on Castaway Club's website.

Thanks Nancy for your help on this one.

Cheesecake, filet mignon and palos souffle

Mark here....

New cruiser :

Welcome! - Neil would probably get on here aswell if I gave him the chance:lmao:

FO! FO! It's my first FO!

WoooHoooo! - well done!

robin loves shell fish but is allergic. she swelled up real bad a few years ago after eating shrimp. hasnt had the nerve to try it again after that.:scared:

Tell Robin I carry enough antihistamine in my bag to sort her (and the rest of the ship) out:rolleyes:

I just received a post card from Linda. I'll quote it word for word:

Nancy, I'm writing to let you know our house was flooded Fri 20th-July. Up to waist height in sewage water. We have lost everything down stairs, lounge, kitchen, study, utility, dining room. Ellies house/toys in garden. Firefighters had to resuce our neighbors by life boat! We will be out of our house for 6-9 months. We are in hotel at present. Looking for place to rent-but then so are 100's of other families! What a nightmare! Please let others know I hope to be on line by Oct, but I don't know my DIS info. (It was on my favorites on the lap top). We have to put our upstairs stuff in storage-as looters have been in the street! What with Ellies moving schools & now this, I will so need this cruise.

Love Linda, Wayne & Elouise.

At least we saved our DIsney, wedding & baby photos!

Please keep Linda in your thoughts and prayers KK's!!

SORRY, I TYPED THAT SO FAST THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PROOF. I WENT BACK TO CORRECT 2 HOURS LATER

Oh my god:sad1: - Poor Lindy Loo and family. I had a horrible doubt in the back of my mind that this might have happened but didnt want to say it outloud incase it was true.:sad1:

Re insurance etc - she should be covered for everything she has lost, but it depends on the comany as to how quick they pay out. As you can imagine there are hundreds of claims and homeless people at the moment. Most people wait up to a year and half to get back in their homes and there are scammers going round pretending to be from insurance companies but just stealing from people who have been flooded.:sad2:

I'd be happy to go visit Lindy Loo.

Nancy - I did have an address for Lindy but I think it must be wrong cos her 40th card didnt get to her. :confused3 Re post re-direction - under normal circumstances you have to go to the Post office and pay to get your mail re-directed - dont know what happens in hese circumstances though.

Just thought of something. Do you think that their home mail is getting forwarded or held for them at the post office in England? Heather can you help here?

Anyway, I do have Linda's home address and I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I gave it to any of you. If you want it, please PM me.

Do they need clothing of any kind. Anything else that people can think of please let me know. We will try to do something special for them.

Here is just a thought. I know that with Target you can order online and have it shipped for you. If we can get an address for her at some point in time I am willing to order some kitchen things for her and have them shipped.

When we were flooded our insurance paid up in a few days - they were great, but it wasnt the scale of the floods currently in England so they'll be more snowed under. If she had time, they would have put everything they could have upstairs and then packed a suitcase or two and then been evactuated.

Here's something that may give you a smile...

Week 36 Outtakes :lmao:

week36-outtakes.jpg

Oh Cass - how sweet! - I love the "no-face" one where her hat has slipped:goodvibes

I took you as being funny

See neither of us have cousins that we grew up with either. For me it was just my parents and then out of state I had 2 uncles and my grandparents

Scott had his parents and then his grandparents, uncle and aunt. I think

My son is an only child too. He has no cousins near his age, and he mixes with adults mostly. Thats why he is nearly 7 going on 70:rolleyes: We join him up to loads of clubs and activities so he mixes well, but its always a concern for me and Neil.

Does Linda eBay at all? Who was selling all their stuff last year? Karen or Linda?

Lindy Loo sold a lot on ebay so I am sure she will have a paypal address.

I just thought - maybe we could make her her doorsign and KK tshirts:confused3 - We know Elouise is 5-6 and we can just guess Linda and Waynes size from photos they have posted? What does everyone think? I know it wont help her immediately, but it will be something she wont be able to do being stuck in a hotel.

What are some very basic pirate ideas for a man. He does not want to do anything real big or fancy just something basic.

All I have got for Neil is a Pirates of the Caribean t shirt, a bandana and eyepatch.

Looks like WDW tickets are going up in price on Sunday, so I am trying to figure out just which ones we are getting and then gonna buy them! ::yes::

Eek! - more money:sad2: Still havent got ours yet either - we need 21 day passes ££££

Yes, some of the weekly photo "outtake" pics are great! I should make an outtake collage like that for EVERY week :goodvibes

I can see it now...

KK: Oh LOOK, more pictures of Kira...great! note sarcasm :crazy2:

KK: There's Cass! QUICK, run and hide...she's the crazy one who posts a zillion photos of her kid on the cruise thread!!

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Absolutely not! - I love my weekly dose of Kira photos. I show Ellis every week too.

Just a thought. Does AFEG live anywhere near Linda. We have not heard from him in awhile I was wondering if the flood could have affected him also.

I live in Birmingham - I know this sounds ridiculous given how small our country is, but I have no idea if I'm close or not:rolleyes1 - I'm happy to get Neil to drive me there though if we knew where she was staying.

My brother just got back from Africa, with stops in London and Paris. He said if we go to London, make sure to bring a LOT of money!! He couldn't believe how expensive it was there!

Yes, generally things are more expensive over here and with the current exchange rate you will $2.00 for £1.00.

Heather

heres my question of the day...
what is everyone doing with there pets while on vacation? family, friends, kennel?

When we went on Princess in May, there was a whole group of seeing eye dogs on board. It was nice to see. We don;t have any pets any more. We did have 3 dogs and it broke our hearts when they passed away. Also working all day, it's unfair to leave them alone for such a long time. Perhaps when we retire???

Heather

Anyhow, here is the QotD:

What are your "must have" food items on this cruise? List now more than 3 to 5 items.

Rick's - Chicken Tenders, Ice Cream and Prime Rib - and I didn;t have to ask him :rotfl:

Mine - Fruit, bran muffins, and a decent cup of tea. I would say coffee but the Cove Cafe Lattes were horrible.

That's awful and I thought that we had all escaped the floods...:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to you Linda and Family.

Hather

Nancy, thanks for sharing that information about Linda. I wondered what was going on since it had been so long since we'd seen anything from her.

Is there anything we can do for them in the meantime? Get together a KK care package or something along those lines?

Good Idea. Nancy - Can you PM me with her address.

Heather

Chris, that's a fabulous idea! I'll start. I believe most email addresses can be retrieved from our Yahoo site (so you guys will actually have to go there to get them..:rotfl2: ).

Linda's email address is listed there too, so if anyone wants to send her a separate email, they can.

I'm typing mine now, then forwarding it onto Cass next.

Good to hear from you Chris...we've missed you and thought you might have been caught upin the floods.

Heather

Let's also be sure to keep a running list on who has Linda's email at the time.

1) From Nancy to Cass (August 4th):surfweb:

Glad to see you back here with your friends too Chris. I sure did miss you. Were you tossing Turkish Dwarfs again??:rotfl2:

.

I think this is a fantastic idea. We just need to figure out who would do what. I have not even started my shirts yet. Just bought a white shirt for Mackenzie and I have the transfers that is it though. So I am not very sure how helpful I would be on that one.
