Yep. First Time. Excited and a bit freaked out. I have to have all my plans ready by then!

What are you freaked out about?

We can all help you get things in line (well at least give you suggestions so things run smoothly). Just ask away. :thumbsup2

O.K., guess I should get back to work. My weekends are spent working on year-end. Good thing I can do it from home. Just a few years ago I had to go into the office to do all my work. I would be there almost every night until 11:00 (then had to drive home) for about 2-3 weeks. Now I can just stumble across the hall and go to bed when I get too tired.

I'll try to check back with you all before I go to bed.

Thanks so much! I knew I could come here for some shoulders to lean on!

On Tuesday, we're meeting up with one of Katie's pre-K friends. They're going to kindergarten together too, so they'll be so glad to see each other.

Not much else planned for the rest of the week. Probably a bit of shopping, the girls love to go out. (Mommy too!) I get a bit stir crazy if I sit all day with them, as I am used to working, so we'll have to see. Might get their pool out one day too. They love to splash around in that.

You can always count on me for a shoulder to lean on. Here is some extra pixiedust: for the fact that you have a little one starting k. When does she start. Ours is starting on Aug. 8th. Her little friend that will be going with her is our next door neighbor. See the girls together is always so much fun.

I'm a bit claustrophobic as well. I've learned to deal with it a bit. Still bugs me though.

This is our first cruise as the 5 of us. I have been on several cruises before but this is the first one that is absolutly stressing me out. We have never had to worry about booking things online before and taking chances of them being booked already. That part is actually make me rather angry.

I wish I could learn to deal with the claustrophobic thing but it is fairly new to me so I have not figured it out yet.

Out of the mouths of kids.

Every night Mackenzie and I read a childhood poem or story out this big book. Most of them are ones that I never learned growing up so it is really neat that I can learn them with her. But tonight we finished one and I told her "tomorrow night we will read Humpty Dumpty" She replied with "Humpy Donkey" For some reason I found this absolutly funny. I was laugh for a while after that one.

Verandah man

Your avaiter looks like it was on a cruise ship but then there is grass in the background. Was a picture that you took or did you borrow it from another site somewhere?

Did I just kill the thread. Maybe I should take that shower I was thinking about pushing off to later.

So here is a parenting question for those of you that have been through the preteen years where the kid thinks they know all. When the child is wrong and the adult is right do we ever get credit for that or are we as the parents just supposed to let it go and let the kid feel like they were right.

So has anyone heard about the helicopter crashes that happend here on Friday. I am just wondering if it made national news.

I actually have a full 8 hour day tomorrow. I actually get a full 32 hours this week. I am so excited. It is the first time since May. One thing about retail is they love cutting hours. Just a little extra cash now for the trip.

Ok no one said not to post our daily redneck jokes. So if anyone gets offend please let me know and I will stop posting them. However I am going go back to Fridays on this.

Friday 7/27

You might be a redneck if you've ever paid for a six-pack of beer with pennies.

Hmmm, heres another quetions of the day. Has anyone ever done this?

As for me, no I don't drink beer.

Saturday 7/28 and Sunday 7/29

You might be a redneck if any of your front room furniture is inflatable.

Here's my MENSA question of the day:

It's a mistake to hire amateurs, as the archaeologist found to his great distress. One of his new staff came running in one day, all excited. He had just paid a local a great deal of money for an extremely valuable coin. As he said, "I've never seen one like this before, and I've been looking in museums for thirty years. It's a genuine Egyptian coin marked 100 B.C. - solid gold!" The director of the expedition sighed wearily and fired him. Why?

If you don't like these, I can switch them to math.

I think I am in the same boat as Andy. This is night number 2 that I am going to bed right after the kids. I think the meds are kicking my butt and making me tired before they should. mental note to self, take them later at night.

So wait I have a quesiton. If he is an archaeologist staff person shouldn't he be digging up things instead of looking for them in a museum?

OK DH says the coin could not be marked 100 BC because they did not know they were 100 BC at the time the coin was minted.

or DH says maybe he just didn't like the guy.

By the way bring on the math, I like a good challenge.

DH says no math questions please, he barely passed geometry in 12th grade.

Let's just say that after that, I made sure I wore my pj top when I got up to feed him in the middle of the night.

The strange thing is, DW never nursed.

Um, I have a couple ideas but this is a PG thread so my theories will have to wait till the cruise.
Its a good thing they make a cream for the ladies though, I would have to say it sure takes the edge off of the bonding experience they go through.

We won't go into my "fatherly baptismal".

Let's just say it has to do with DS trying to nurse from ME. :scared1:

All I have to say is "OUCH". How do you women put up with that?

Geez, I leave for a few hours and the guys start talking about BREASTFEEDING!!! Are you that bored?? :lmao:

Hi Jeff - Actually that was Abby. I was here a few nights ago. I even had a hello to you in my last message.

I too saw the info on the 10/20 "L" time on the KSC site but not the NASA site. Ugh, I really hope it's not at 1250. That could seriously tie up some traffic. I'll just keep watching.

Ok, I'm asking for some pixie dust to blow my way. My DH is a gov't contractor, and their contract is up the end of this year. He really would rather stick with the same company for a new job (he's been there 8-9 years), but he also doesn't want to increase his commute time. Everything they've been offering him is over a 2 hour drive away, each way. He's getting more & more frustrated as time goes by. Please, send us some pixie dust that he can find a job, closer than an hour or so commute, with no decrease in pay or benefits. I'm just afraid he won't be able to enjoy himself as much if we go on the cruise, and he still doesn't have a job lined up by October.

Did I see some posts from Andy here earlier? Cool! Hi Andy! :yay:

Fighting a cold. Yuck! The last few colds I've had have really been affecting my sinuses. They just ache. I blame my eldest DD. She had it first.

Well, gonna run! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm off from work until Friday. My girls are in an in-home daycare, and she's closed this week for her vacation. So, when she closes, I have to take off work.

Tina here's some dust stuff for you!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

I am finally caught up!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Cass, I guess you now have your wish of VD. At least halfway!!!!!!

Well, I got V, now I need some D :rotfl:

I highly doubt that the L will go on the 20th, just because it's the first day of the launch window. They do get postponed a lot and it being the FIRST day and all, well I don't think it looks good.

But if it did go, can you imagine the crap it will cause the 10/13 passengers? The traffic will be stupid, delays everywhere. At least most of us will already be at the port and don't have far to go. I feel sorry for the KKers that are flying in that day, if the L does go! :sad2:

By the way bring on the math, I like a good challenge.

DH says no math questions please, he barely passed geometry in 12th grade.

Given the following equations:

N + N + M = 14

L + L + K = 20

M + K + N = 12

N + K + L = 18

What is the value of K?
