Well, I would pay $85 to not be robbed that is for sure. Cass does all the research so she is the best one to answer that question. But I'd stay away from the food and water, last couple we seen eating on a trip like that on the last cruise had food poisoning.

I think we're doing a dolphin encounter there as well, ask Cass though.
I know nothing.
... :confused3

Besides being a "puke magnet" what good are you then? :lmao:

Just kidding. I'm just giving you a hard time. Sorry.

I'll let it lay now.

you have now been baptized rob. you are an official dad.:wizard:
our son did that to me once back when he was about 1 yr. old (1978)and i was carrying him on my shoulders. barfed right on my head. i had hair back then too... now that i think about it, my hair started falling out after that.

Thanks Mike :)
Though I didn't know being puked on was a fatherly baptism rite, thanks for letting me know that I am now accepted :cool1:

As for the hair, you'll have to talk to Cass about the time I shaved my head and what she thought of that, though I thought I didn't look so bad. :lmao:

Not woried if we get to Key West, as we've been their twice, and both feel 'been there, done that...' So we're not doing anything special there.

The first time we did the Conch Train tour and all four of us fell asleep on the train and Rick shot 30-45 mins video of his foot and the driver droning on.

Heather:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is too funny.....my sister and I fell asleep on the train tour also!!!! It was horrible!!!!!

We won't go into my "fatherly baptismal".

Let's just say it has to do with DS trying to nurse from ME. :scared1:

All I have to say is "OUCH". How do you women put up with that?

I don't know, you'll have to ask Cass. But I have to admit, I am good at putting a smile on my girls face :)

Um, I have a couple ideas but this is a PG thread so my theories will have to wait till the cruise.
Its a good thing they make a cream for the ladies though, I would have to say it sure takes the edge off of the bonding experience they go through.

You are definitely good at that. It shows in the pictures. And that is the most important thing.

Let's just say that after that, I made sure I wore my pj top when I got up to feed him in the middle of the night.

The strange thing is, DW never nursed.

We're not planning much on Key West either, May not even get off ship.

Also, I see Tina posted over on the third link this morning. Hope she comes back and joins us here. I don't remember the last time she posted here.

Hi Jeff - Actually that was Abby. I was here a few nights ago. I even had a hello to you in my last message.

I too saw the info on the 10/20 "L" time on the KSC site but not the NASA site. Ugh, I really hope it's not at 1250. That could seriously tie up some traffic. I'll just keep watching.

Ok, I'm asking for some pixie dust to blow my way. My DH is a gov't contractor, and their contract is up the end of this year. He really would rather stick with the same company for a new job (he's been there 8-9 years), but he also doesn't want to increase his commute time. Everything they've been offering him is over a 2 hour drive away, each way. He's getting more & more frustrated as time goes by. Please, send us some pixie dust that he can find a job, closer than an hour or so commute, with no decrease in pay or benefits. I'm just afraid he won't be able to enjoy himself as much if we go on the cruise, and he still doesn't have a job lined up by October.

Did I see some posts from Andy here earlier? Cool! Hi Andy! :yay:

Fighting a cold. Yuck! The last few colds I've had have really been affecting my sinuses. They just ache. I blame my eldest DD. She had it first.

Well, gonna run! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm off from work until Friday. My girls are in an in-home daycare, and she's closed this week for her vacation. So, when she closes, I have to take off work.

You are correct. I'm sorry. It was Abby. I'll go back and change my post.

As for the traffic, that is one of the reasons we are glad we're staying near port. I for one hope it is at 12:50 on the 20th. That would be too cool.

Here's some dust stuff for your DH. Hope he finds something soon (closer to home). pixiedust:

Here's some more for you so that you get over your cold. pixiedust:

O.K. who has the bar of soap? Please pass it my way.

I think I just killed the tread.....again.

Steve,

Refresh my memory. You are a first time cruiser, correct? Getting excited about doing ressies this coming Sunday?

I don't know about Steve, but I am a first time cruiser and am feeling completely overwhelmed by the upcoming deadline! Can't seem to get the hubbie or kids to commit to anything--it's the old "whatever you want." I do want to do some special things, but hate to spend a ton of money for just "o.k." excursions. Ticks me off that I have to pay the adult price for my ten-year old. Any one else mad about that?

Are there any absolutely cannot miss exursions on the Western??

Victoria,

Glad to see you back.

First off, remember, the ressies opened up early at 90 days (around 11:00 p.m. the night before our time).

Our DS is still on the cheap side (he's only 7) but yes, I think they charge a lot for a sub-16 year old. I think they should base the excursion prices like they do the cruise prices. Price breaks at 3, 12 and 17.

I would try to do something with the stingrays in Grand Cayman if it is available.

There are several different excursions that go there, just pick one you like.

We did just the swim with the rays - nothing else with it.
