Did anyone sign up for the banana boat on CC? DH and DD11 are doing it at 1:00.

My wife (Rashelle) and DD8 (Brianna) are going to be doing the banana boat at the same time. There is a picture of us somewhere on here, I'll try and repost the picture later since there a "few" pages that it could be on :)

I have loved him since I was a little girl!!!!!!!! I'll try to be patient when I see him on the ship........I promise not to knock her down to get to Goofy!!!;)

Scott here, We taught lilDD how to share, so can she? She laughs everytime she hears his voice on Radio Disney. It would break her little heart not to be able to see him. Please help a little girl fullfill a dream.:rotfl:

Scott here real quick. Someone asked awhile back what was everyones favorite Disney songs. I finally get to answer. mine is Chim Chimeny from Mary Poppins. I was going to say Its A small World, but it gets stuck in my head to much. Now it is in all of yours, I know as yall read this it will in in yours also.:rotfl:

Hello everyone. After three years of lurking on these boards and since almost day one on this thread, I finally figured out that my original registration did not work correctly and that was why I could not post, so I reregistered and here I am.

This will be the third DCL cruise for myself and my DH Rich and the 2nd for my SIL. The other have been on the Wonder so we are ready to feel the Magic.

I just wanted to say hello and thank you all for the information and tips that you have posted.

I am a little shy and so I may lurk (also now just a bad habit), more than I post but I wanted to say hello and thank you.

Not sure if my DW has done it or not, But WELCOME to our crazy little world here. I am Scott :firefight and I pop in from time to time, or else chat late at night on here with the other night people. We are traveling on my first Discruise and DW's:hug: , Carrie, second. Tagging along are lilDD Mackenzieprincess: (tuns 5 on cruise) olderDD Kelsey :p (12) and DS Kyle pirate: (11), along with DW's parents. Again welcome and look forward to chatting and meeting ya'll:banana:

I need parental advice. We have 3 kids and we are trying to make all 3 happy with shore excursions. Here is the delima

Kelsey - do not want to snorkel, walk, or go on a boat smaller then our ship. She will however, do dolphins, horses, or stingrays, and shopping if there is not much walking involved. Well dolphins and horses are to expensive, and stingrays we have seen and feed at our zoo and seaworld. So I say she is out of luck she can stay on the ship

Kyle - I think he would get a kick out of snorkeling at the shipwreck

Mackenzie - I want to do some form of underwater viewing for her.

So is it wrong as a parent to do something for 2 and not the third. We do planning on shopping but heaven forbid there is walking involved.

Kelsey is old enough to stay back on the ship - she probably would enjoy the freedom away from parental units. Look at the navigators on Castawayclub.com and find something that the teenagers are doing while you are at the excursion and sell her on that event.

Oh, and I got my HP book yesterday, haven't started reading it yet though.

But remember I told my son that if he spoils it for me by telling me the ending he'd be cut off from his allowance forever....

Well, my girlfriend and her son came over tonight, Judy told me a story of how her son got mad at a neighborhood boy and yelled at him" Oh, yeah, well
.....(blah blah blah....ending of story....)"
I just looked at them both and said "Gee Thanks, I was going to read the book"

Judy said..."oh, no I'm so sorry, well perhaps it's not true, it's just something Alex read on the internet"

My son looks over at me and shakes his head and says.."I didn't say anything Mom!"

I'm pissed!
I am so going to pretend that what they heard was on online rumor and joke and try not to let it spoil the book for me.

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I have read the book - there is false info all over the Internet - dont listent o anyone tell you what happened unless they read it themselves in teh book.

As always the Internet is great but it must be read with caution

That's the one that we always seem to get.

Heather

Heather, are you getting PLA or LAP? Never heard of a PAL (except for PAL Mickey :rotfl: )

LAP usually goes to those without kids because they figure they'd like to be in Lumiere's more nights. That's at least the rumor I heard.

so you guys only 6 weeks off over the summer?

Kids in Canada get about 9 weeks. normally start aroudn the end of June (27, 28, 29th area depending on the day fo the week) and then are off until the Tuesday after Labour Day (Labour day for us is the first Monday in September).

I beleive its too long of a break. Some school boards are playing with giving longer holidays during the school year and shortening teh summer break but not very many.

Here in WI, school lets out anytime between the 6th and the 14th and by law, they are not to be back in until after Labor Day. That is for the Public Schools.

DS is in private, so he goes back the Tuesday before Labor Day and gets out the Thursday after Memorial Day (last Monday in May). They only have 171 days of school compared to the 180 the public schools need. What they do to get around it is go about an extra 20 minutes per day. That would bring them in line with the 180 day requirement.

I wish they'd push to an after Labor Day start and move the end a week further into June. I can't find care for DS the first week of June, so I have to take vacation tme.

is that confirmed now - Pool at 3pm on Saturday?!?!?!?

That's what got the most votes. Most people who have small kids will be there anyways, so it was only natural to do that. We'll have about an hour or so until the life boat drill.

We'll have to plan early if we want any table either to the Starboard side of the pool on Deck 9 or up on Deck 10. You can't see the pool very well from the Port side of Deck 9 (the slide is in the way).

Cinnimike,

Tony was just up with us and asked: "so who's this Mike dude we're playing basketball with"? "Is he any good?"

I told him you were working in some capacity with the Cavs. (I didn't tell him you were just a fan:lmao: ). I think I have him worried now. He told Chuck he wanted to play b-ball this afternoon. :rotfl2: :lmao:

tell him i own several ohio high school free throw % records. so he better keep practicing. (i dont , but he doesnt have to know that)

HI!!!!!! I'm glad your plans are going smoothly!!!! Can't wait til you have some more free time to come and chat and fill us in on all the wedding details!:groom: princess:
Aww thank you! :) I can't wait either... it's going to be very exciting! I know I'm going to have to come by and post some wedding pics before we leave :D We're leaving a week earlier than the cruise to spend some time in WDW together first, so you guys probably won't hear much from us the week before.

I went and found what we have scheduled... is anyone else doing these things?

Day 3 - At Sea - Monday, October 22, 2007
Palo Brunch 11:30AM

Day 4 - Grand Cayman - Tuesday, October 23, 2007
Island Tour & Butterfly Farm 8:00AM

Day 5 - Cozumel - Wednesday, October 24, 2007
Xcaret Eco Archeological Park 9:15AM

Day 6 - At Sea - Thursday, October 25, 2007
Palo Dinner 6:00PM

Day 7 - Castaway Cay - Friday, October 26, 2007
Extreme Getaway Package 12:00PM
Castaway Cay Couples Cabana Massage 3:00PM

We'd love to meet up with everyone so we'll be there at 3 PM the first day! I'm really hoping for APL for second seating, but I have a feeling since we don't have kids we're going to have to request it. I agree with Jeff, formal night and semi-formal night would feel really weird in Parrot Cay!!

So look for a big group of people by the Mickey pool? Should we look for anything lime green?

*pokes her head in and waves* Hello all! I know I haven't been active, but I wanted to poke my head in and say hi! I haven't forgotten you all and I hope you haven't forgotten us :)

Wedding planning is going smoothly, the invitations are going out in about 2 weeks so I'll have some downtime then before the month of September :) Hurray!

We did our reservations for excursions and Palo and spa stuff a little over a week ago... we have the Romance package so we were able to do it 105 days out. I'll have to get out the schedule and see if anyone is going on the same ones we are! :)

I do miss you guys and I look forward to getting some down time so I can get more active and get to know everyone!

welcome back. we need all the ohio folks we can get.:thumbsup2
especially when the indians beat the brewers in the world series.:rolleyes1

Isn't that also the best side to be on as we leave port so that we can wave to everyone?

Heather

Heather

That's a surprising rotation for empty nesters. I thought for sure they'd give you LAP. PLA isn't that bad on a Western and is the one you want on an Eastern.

Heather

That is correct. Funny how Port side doesn't face port in Port Canaveral. ;)

Although, if the unmentionable gets pushed back a little for any reason, you'll want to be aft or port side for best viewing. :thumbsup2
