Deck 10 is a NO SKIRT ZONE! Trust me. Change into your capri pants, shorts or anything other than a skirt for sundress before going up to enjoy the view or you might giving others a view that you hadn't intended to - for better or worse.

Just thought this was a good tip. I have also had experience walking around the front or back of a ship when it has been going full speed and having the wind take a pony right out of my hair and it went overboard while my hair proceeded to block my view. That was the only pony I had brought with me. I learned my lesson now I take about 10. :rolleyes1

For any first time cruisers

Bring a green apple and one of the table knives back to your room after you eat lunch the first afternoon. Then if you or anyone starts feeling a little sick ~ which often happens right around dinner time when the ship starts rocking ~ they can slice it up and eat it.

Our assistant waiter told us that is what the crew do. My DH started feeling a bit queasy and the apple seemed to help him that first night.

And, even if you don't need it for 'motion' issues, it's a nice snack to have and you can send the knife back on a room-service tray when you're done with it.

Ok, anybody else see the reason why Rob edited his post??? :lmao:

When I read it, it said "pepto bismo" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: For some reason I KEELED over laughing!!!

I was walking around saying "Honey, would you like me to get you some pepto bismo" and then bursting into tears. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

that's gonna haunt him for the rest of his life :lmao:

oi... nausea, heartburn, upset stomach, indigestion, diahrhea... um, please don't haunt me with that.

And 24min eh? wow, yup fire is pretty certain with that even though it was only in for 5min.
You'll have to take your microwave in as the circulation fan is certainly coated as you said it was black inside. I don't recommend you taking the microwave apart yourself to clean it, there are a lot of high voltage parts contained within it. However, if the fire was intense to any degree the faraday cage mesh may have been warped due to the fire inside of the oven and thus would now present a radiation hazard even though you won't be able to tell the difference. I think you would be safer in replacing the appliance or at least getting it inspected.

BTW: Glad to see your DD had the maturity to deal with a fire and to handle it properly. It would have been worse if she came upstairs to tell you that the oven was on fire as the microwave would have certainly made it worse as it cooked the sandwich.

Yah it was time for a new micro anyways. It has been on its last leg for a while we were just waiting for the cruise to be over before we had to spend the extra money. Oh well I guess we need to do it now instead of later.

I was pretty impressed considering she is only 4. I guess daddy stopping at all the fires that they pass really helped out.

& since I seem to be on a roll for posting tonight, here's an aside for you from the cruise to see what I do for fun on the weekends.
This is a video one of the crew for us is doing, he's a professional Video Editor/Media Designer and is putting this together for our website.
It's a minute long and is the rough cut so any feedback would be appreciated.
Have a good night! :dance3:

Guess you don't read Harry Potter eh? :)
They are from the books and have now entered our realm, you can find them here:
http://jellybelly.com/Cultures/en-US/Fun/Flavor+Guides/Bertie+Botts+Flavor+Guide.htm

Try them out, it's a lot of fun :)
BTW: Black Pepper is HOT, and there's some others I really don't want to reminisce about.

Nope have not read the books or seen the movies. But now that you explained the kids have had them. My FIL had them in a bowl one time when we went over and the kids started eating them and got really grossed out so I never tried them. They finally told me the were Potter beans.

AFEG..I was just thinking. (Yes, that happens every now and then). Take another look at the picture you posted with the life jacket and the situation you are now in in the UK. Not really funny, but isn't it?? (Kind of??):goodvibes

You be careful doing so much thinking dear...:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Actually, I'd say that's one flexible future daughter-in-law you have there, Nancy. Does she practice yoga or is she part pretzel? :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Is she a sweet one or a salty one?....:)

Cass am just wondering how many "extra" cases we'll find sitting in our room when we re-board the magic for our second cruise, will Karen be stood there with clip-board in hand checking them in?....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Stowaway Stacy!!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Tony and Stacy bought new luggage for the cruise. Here's our 5'7" future DIL stuffed into her suitcase.

Wow - she IS bendy!:lmao: :lmao:

So you all might think I am crazy but I have one suitcase about 80% packed and ready to go.

Lucky you.:sad2: I'm soooo disorganised this year cos of the move. We travel 18th Aug to Spain for 2 weeks, havent packed a thing yet:scared1:

I asked Neil last night to get the cases out the loft - his expression said it all - "I've only just finished putting the bl**dy stuff up there and now she wants it down again" :rotfl2:

I tried on 14 pairs of shorts yesterday - 4 fit:sad1: (and that includes the 2 pairs I bought the other day:sad1: . Tops I have loads of but I need to find some more to squeeze my big fat *ss into in the next 3 weeks:scared1:

Have a nice evening everyone, by the way Kaitie downloaded a virus during our trip if you are getting Spam from us please know that we are not doing it and we have now reformatted our computer and it should stop. If you get any "card" emails that state you have a card from someone don't open it, that is what ate our computer.

Judy:yay:

Hi Judy - I opened up one a few weeks ago too but my virus stopper shut it down immediately so I was lucky. Its sick that people get their kicks from ruining other peoples pc's:mad:

Cass am just wondering how many "extra" cases we'll find sitting in our room when we re-board the magic for our second cruise, will Karen be stood there with clip-board in hand checking them in?....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Chris - I wont be standing there checking off your luggage - I'll have been getting tips off Stacy as to how to fit into one of them;) - like I've said before - check your steamer trunk on your 2nd week - I intend to camp out in there:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: I vote for the pretzel:lmao:

We have decided that we will let our lawn stay dormant, being gone all of July and not watering has given us a lovely brown lawn. No rain here in Franklin, maybe someday soon. For the Wis Members, Did you hear that some idiot threw a cigarette out their window off of I-41 today near North Ave, started a nice fire that clogged traffic for a while.

I heard about that too. Some people just don't think huh?

My husband is working tonight so I am alone with the kids, I am a little wary lately when he is gone. We found out someone tried to steal our car when we were gone. Our Neighbor called the police but they did not get him. Now every time I hear a loud muffler, that is what his car sounded like, I am afraid he is back to try again. The police are looking for hi and the neighbor got the plate so they should find him soon.

Sounds like scarey stuff Judy. Do you have a car alarm?

Happy 7 years!!!!!!! How romantic

Hey, Stacy and Brenda are about the same size yes??? Ok, who has two extra pieces of luggage B & J can borrow?? There's plenty of room in Chris' suite for them :rolleyes1

That piece was originally $350.00 on sale for $85.00 at TJ MAX. We got the same kind of luggage 6 years ago and it's held up quite nicely for 6 Florida vacations and a cruise. I'm sure we can find two more pieces like it for our friends in Stinktown.:goodvibes

I know how you feel. My husband works nights and it is just me and either one kid or two kids depending on the day. About a year and half ago we had a situation about a block away or 8 houses however you want to look at it. There were 5 people murdered in their home. Ever since then I hate staying at home at night without my DH

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

So you all might think I am crazy but I have one suitcase about 80% packed and ready to go.

I don't think you're crazy at all Carrie. I have a few things packed myself.:cutie:

We are in East Mesa, almost Apache Junction.

Carrie, Kristin's BF (Jesse) has relatives in Apache Junction. He visits at least twice a year and Kristin will be with him for a visit in August!:woohoo:

No it equals FIRE

So I have to ask what is Bernie Botts Every Flavoured Beans.

Ooooh, yummy! I've tried them. Our's had a "booger" flavor in it. :rotfl2:

Thanks Carrie. Kristin gets motion sickness quite easily. I'll add that idea to the many others I've seen posted.

Wow - she IS bendy!:lmao: :lmao:

Two weeks in Spain for Karen = time for Nancy to catch up to Karen's posts.:goodvibes

Shall I ask Stacy for some "Bendy" instructions for you Karen?

LindyLooHoo, Where are you????:confused3

You are over 200 posts behind Chris. Get posting girl! :woohoo:

(And I am just a few behind Karen. Look out w/o Aug 18th):goodvibes

How ridiculous is this - I am sitting at my pc catching up on emails etc and at the same time I'm re-inflating my big ball thing that I do sit ups on:lmao:

I've broken into a sweat just pumping the blooming thing up! - I'll be too tired to use by the time its hard enough:eek: :rotfl2:
