Welcome back Cheryl, sounds like you had a great time. I'm certain we all wish we were you, since I'm only going to be at Disney the day before we set sail. Just not enough time, we'll be cramming in everything we possibly can. Where in N. Wisconsin does your family live?

Brenda - I don't know that I will be at the bookstore at Midnight, but will be there Sat. to purchase HP for DS.

Nancy - going to be down in your area on Sunday, Bryce is going to a soccer camp next week and I have to drop him off Sunday afternoon.
Have a good day all.

I have a Real Estate question for either one of you. There is a home for sale not far from us that has a smaller sign attached that reads "NO PRINCIPALS" in big bold letters. What does that mean in the Real Estate world?:confused3

We don't have anything like that here but I would take it as a for sale by owners and they won't work with an agent on the buyers side.

All the real estate laws change from state to state so it could mean something completely different, but if it is a home being sold by the seller then it probably does mean that.

I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books but I do watch the movies. hahaha Everyone else in the house reads them so I am sure buying one this weekend is on our list of things to do. (That is not a list I make...so I don't always know what is on it....I submit my calendar so that it can be added to that list and worked around for the other stuff.) hahahahahaha I also do not make the grocery list. (Which I am not sure why one is made when they buy tons of stuff not on it most times anyway.)

i did the tea with wendy and i didn't like it much becuse i think that it was boring but you get cookies and tea and get a pic. with the made hatted and wendy and his friend so maybe you would like it:goodvibes

So Katie, do you think it would be funner if I could make teenage boys go to it? Just to watch them be a bit embarassed for having to go?

I think I can...I think I can...

We appear to have misplaced two mad as a box of monkeys chatty afternoon girls, please don't try telling us your both doing some work?...:rolleyes1

A road trip to Missouri for Friday and then up to Calgary for Saturday night? I doubt my little 10 yr old car would make it. Could you imagine it though Brenda? All your friends and family there for a big HP party and I'd come bearing gifts for Handsome Pete instead? BTW...did you name Handsome Pete using Harry's initials? :rotfl:

Handsome Pete was named before I ever knew anything about Harry Potter. He's actually named for an obscure little character from a Simpson's episode - it was either Handsome Pete or Xt'Tapalatakettle... I think we made the right choice. :rotfl2:

Brenda - did I tell you that I work for a library and we have our copies under lock and key????? I'll still have to wait till Saturday to get my hands on a copy though. There has been a big thing over here recently over whether Bloombury (the publisher) will supply HP7 to Asda (UK Walmarts). Asda have apologised for some comments they made about the pricing and they are now getting their copies.

I will be visiting Asda on Friday to get shopping for Saturday's bbq so I will be getting my copy.

Heather

Heather, no, I didn't know you worked at a library. How exciting but frustrating to have the book so near. I think I'd be going crazy!

I did hear something about a fuss with Asda but I didn't really understand what it was all about - thanks for clearing that up.

I'll be in line at midnight with my 9-year old niece, my 25-year old nephew, and my next-door-neighbor and her two kids. And then I'll be up all night reading until I go cross-eyed from sleep deprivation. We're going to have about 35 people at our house tomorrow night for a pre-release party so it looks like I'm going to be running on high octane for the next two days.

Hope you enjoy your reading and that your weather stays good! :goodvibes

Brenda finished up her Undelicious trippie. As Brenda would say...."Go forth and read".

Brenda, are you going back to finish Argie now or onto Shruberry?Geeez, who needs Harry Potter books when you have Brenda's TR's??

Thanks for the plug, Nancy!

I think I may finish up the Argie first since it's so close to being done anyway. It will still probably be another week or two before I go back to it - I'll need next week to recover from HP7 and then there's that other thing... But by that time I'll be refreshed and ready to scribble nonsense again!

Have a great day everyone! :goodvibes

Hi everyone I am finally back here after over a month and from the looks of things I am too far behind to go back over 300 pages to when I last posted on page 745. You guys have been a chatty bunch while I was gone! Jeff how are we doing with our posts? What "place" is our thread in?

Our 2 weeks in FL were great!!! The first week was very busy trying to get our friends who had not been to Orlando before to see as much as possible. We went to all 4 Dusney parks and Sea World and Kennedy Space Center. The second week it was just the 3 of us and mor relaxing especially our 3 days at Vero Beach! We had a beautiful ocean view villa and I spent a lot of time relaxing on our balcony. We were also very fortunate to see 2 loggerhead turtles nesting. The first one we saw nesting was on a turtle walk we had scheduled with a park ranger and were lucky to see as the turtle was burying her eggs and watch her go back to the ocean. The second turtle we saw was amazing because we almost tripped over her as she was coming in from the ocean and heading up the beach. We had gone for a walk hoping to come across a turtle and as we were coming back to the resort a man came up to us and told us to stop because just ahead a turtle was coming up out of the ocean. We had gone for a walk looking for a turtle and here one was right in front of Disney's resort. How magical is that! We watched the turtle "drag" herself up the beach, dig a hole in the sand, lay her eggs, meticulously and slowly bury them and then go back into the ocean. It was amazing to see.

We were home from FL for a busy week, then Rachel and I went up to north-western WI to visit my sister and brother-in-law for a week. We had a wonderful week with them but 2 vacations a week apart makes things very hectic when you get back home again. I am still getting caught up on laundry and going through all the mail and the house is a disaster but I needed to get back to the DIS tonight!

Did I miss anything important here while I was gone? I don't think I will be able to go back and read the 300+ pages of thread that I missed so I will just jump back in here.

I can't beleive we are just over 3 months until the cruise and that very early Sun. morning I will be sitting here making our Palo reservations already :cool1: I don't think we are going to book any excursions through Disney this time, we are just going to do things on our own on the islands.

Well that's it for now. It's good to be back here with all you guys and it looks like we have a few more joining us too!

Cheryl :)

Welcome home Cheryl!!!! How do you get so much time off working in the medical field?:confused3

Any fun plans for the weekend out there? Chuck and I are planning on seeing Ratatouille and maybe Shrek3 (if it's still out). Tony and Stacy are coming over Saturday night for a grill out and movie night. Then Tony and I will be up at the "A$$ crack of Stupid" to book our excursions for Chuck and I. The kids get to book on Aug. 6th and we'll do it again then.

I know Cheryl and I will be on the KK thread with our results. Hopefully you will join us for an Early Morning Chat. :wizard:

Good luck to all the "Losers" tomorrow.

Not too many plans for the weekend. I will be up Sun. morning too. I will try to post what we got!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I'm getting a lot of work done Chris.:goodvibes How about you??

Hi Janice!!!! Some of us really are working!!!!:lmao: :lmao: Not really, just changing our flight info with disney for the ME!!!!! Catching up on the boards. That really is hard work!!!!!:rotfl2:

:scared: :scared: :scared:

Where are the stupid Food and Wine Festival program offerings and prices???

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Why on earth haven't they been released yet? I'm almost as on edge about those as I am about Deathly Hallows.
