Hi everyone I am finally back here after over a month and from the looks of things I am too far behind to go back over 300 pages to when I last posted on page 745. You guys have been a chatty bunch while I was gone! Jeff how are we doing with our posts? What "place" is our thread in?

Our 2 weeks in FL were great!!! The first week was very busy trying to get our friends who had not been to Orlando before to see as much as possible. We went to all 4 Dusney parks and Sea World and Kennedy Space Center. The second week it was just the 3 of us and mor relaxing especially our 3 days at Vero Beach! We had a beautiful ocean view villa and I spent a lot of time relaxing on our balcony. We were also very fortunate to see 2 loggerhead turtles nesting. The first one we saw nesting was on a turtle walk we had scheduled with a park ranger and were lucky to see as the turtle was burying her eggs and watch her go back to the ocean. The second turtle we saw was amazing because we almost tripped over her as she was coming in from the ocean and heading up the beach. We had gone for a walk hoping to come across a turtle and as we were coming back to the resort a man came up to us and told us to stop because just ahead a turtle was coming up out of the ocean. We had gone for a walk looking for a turtle and here one was right in front of Disney's resort. How magical is that! We watched the turtle "drag" herself up the beach, dig a hole in the sand, lay her eggs, meticulously and slowly bury them and then go back into the ocean. It was amazing to see.

We were home from FL for a busy week, then Rachel and I went up to north-western WI to visit my sister and brother-in-law for a week. We had a wonderful week with them but 2 vacations a week apart makes things very hectic when you get back home again. I am still getting caught up on laundry and going through all the mail and the house is a disaster but I needed to get back to the DIS tonight!

Did I miss anything important here while I was gone? I don't think I will be able to go back and read the 300+ pages of thread that I missed so I will just jump back in here.

I can't beleive we are just over 3 months until the cruise and that very early Sun. morning I will be sitting here making our Palo reservations already :cool1: I don't think we are going to book any excursions through Disney this time, we are just going to do things on our own on the islands.

Well that's it for now. It's good to be back here with all you guys and it looks like we have a few more joining us too!

Cheryl :)

Sounds like you guys had tons of fun Cheryl. It's great to see you back!!

I just ordered our MNSSHP tickets tonight :woohoo:

And we are having another :tinker:"Disney Night" on Saturday :dance3:

Hope everyone is doing well! It's been too hot up here to DIS much but Rob is home tomorrow with the laptop :yay: So I will be able to DIS from the coolness of my living room! :woohoo:

"Disney Night"??? I wonder, can I get from Wisconsin to Calgary by Saturday night via my car?:woohoo:

I will tell the boys that and make them go. I'll ask them if they want me to walk them down....hahahaaha or up, whatever.

Any fun plans for the weekend out there? Chuck and I are planning on seeing Ratatouille and maybe Shrek3 (if it's still out). Tony and Stacy are coming over Saturday night for a grill out and movie night. Then Tony and I will be up at the "A$$ crack of Stupid" to book our excursions for Chuck and I. The kids get to book on Aug. 6th and we'll do it again then.

I know Cheryl and I will be on the KK thread with our results. Hopefully you will join us for an Early Morning Chat. :wizard:

Good luck to all the "Losers" tomorrow.

Mary and the kids saw Ratatouille and the LOVED it!

What???

No mention of anyone purchasing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at 12:01 AM on Saturday morning (to me it's still Friday night).

I can't be the only one... can I? ;)

I thought you'd have my book waiting for me at your party B. :rotfl:

Shamefully, I have never read any of the HP books but it looks like I'm the one missing out. Maybe a trip to Half Price Books this weekend for me??

No such luck - no early copies here. But I can't believe that people who did get it early are going to such lengths to ruin it for others (including the New York Times).

Why don't you just road trip down to Missouri instead? I'm holding a Harry Potter for Latecomers lecture during the party tomorrow night. :rotfl2:

A road trip to Missouri for Friday and then up to Calgary for Saturday night? I doubt my little 10 yr old car would make it. Could you imagine it though Brenda? All your friends and family there for a big HP party and I'd come bearing gifts for Handsome Pete instead? BTW...did you name Handsome Pete using Harry's initials? :rotfl:

I have a Real Estate question for either one of you. There is a home for sale not far from us that has a smaller sign attached that reads "NO PRINCIPALS" in big bold letters. What does that mean in the Real Estate world?:confused3

Nancy - don't bother with Shrek it was rubbish, but I want to see Ratatouille so tell us what you think.

We are facing a severe weather warning for the weekend. The weatherman says that it will be lashing down with rain, expect floods. We are having a really rotten summer. My neice and nephew are visiting with their respective partners and children. We were supposed to be having a bar-be, so I'll have to make some continguency plans, won't I?

Brenda - did I tell you that I work for a library and we have our copies under lock and key????? I'll still have to wait till Saturday to get my hands on a copy though. There has been a big thing over here recently over whether Bloombury (the publisher) will supply HP7 to Asda (UK Walmarts). Asda have apologised for some comments they made about the pricing and they are now getting their copies.

I will be visiting Asda on Friday to get shopping for Saturday's bbq so I will be getting my copy.

Heather

PS - Afternnoon Linda - send some of your sunshine down here. Have you had severe weather warnings for tomorrow and Saturday?

Brenda finished up her Undelicious trippie. As Brenda would say...."Go forth and read".

Brenda, are you going back to finish Argie now or onto Shruberry?Geeez, who needs Harry Potter books when you have Brenda's TR's??

A posh way of saying "NO ARSEHOLES" maybe...:rolleyes1

My kids saw Shrek3 and didn't like it either. I'll let you know about Ratatouille though.

Stay safe from the storms Heather.
