Sorry to hear about your parents Robin. I will pray for them, you and Mike. I hope you had a good work week. Talk to you later. Diane

thanks guys, it was a rough hospital visit. dont know if youve ever seen the movie the notebook, but it was a lot like that, only her mom and dad are BOTH really out of it right now.:sad2:

Hi everyone,

This is Robin...

I'm back. After being pampered and feeling like I was sleeping on a cloud at the Hilton in Cincinnati, :cloud9:...its tough coming back to my old mattress.

I did miss MIke though

I haven't had a chance to read back...

Was Mike good?

This is Robin...:sad1:

Well, it wasn't a great hospital stay... Mom & Dad at least knew us, but Mom keeps saying "What are we waiting for." We tell her she is here because of her hip. She says, "There's nothing wrong with my hip! I've been walking around all over the place. What is this place anyway."

She has to stay until at least Monday. I know she really needs to go to the Rehab Hospital, but she'd have to be there for 5 or 6 weeks. My Dad can't go that long without her. Someone has to stay with him 24/7. (The last time she was in the hospital, he almost caught the house on fire.) We were hoping to have an in home therapist come in. That way we could keep Mom & Dad together.

There's just my brother, Mike & myself to care for them. We'll have to play tag team until she gets on her feet. But if we don't get them back into their regular routine, all h**l will break loose.

Sorry to go on, but I thought I'd just fill everyone in.

Thanks for all of your well wishes.

Robin

we just got back from hospital. robin says she will weigh in tom.

No worries, I know she's busy and preoccupied....I was mostly talking to the UK losers :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Robin, glad you are back. Your mom and dad are in my prayers. I can only imagine the weight that is on your shoulders right now. :grouphug: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: :grouphug:

Yeah, what's up with those UKers? Do they really think that moving and school troubles let them off that easy?:lmao:

Cass, I'm actually up at this hour and ready to talk. Where are you?
Is Kira feeling any better?
Has she done any more with trying to crawl? This is such a great age.

Speaking of great ages, Harrison is almost 2 and is starting to talk. he can say so much. It is amazing how many words he learns each week.

Good evening everyone!:yay:

Quiet night around here?

Jeff, GO BREWERS!! Wow, what a game tonight. Braun had a phenominal night didn't he? He went 4 for 4 tonight and helped the team with an exciting win. How did you like that "steal" of 2nd in the 6th? Did they even give him a steal on that? I think a few of the Royals were sleeping through that play.

We had to leave early because Chuck didn't feel so well and the old lady next to me took a bath in her old lady perfume and I could barely breathe. Then she fell asleep and kept leaning on me. The guys behind us were laughing so hard. Finally one of them told her drunken son to take her home before she started drooling on my shirt. We had great seats on the 3rd base side right next to home plate. Too bad we couldn't stick it out there. We moved up a few rows in some empty seats but left anyway for Chuck.

We got home in time to see the last inning.

Well, off to bed for me. Talk to some of you tomorrow!:hippie:

Welcome back Robin. So sorry to hear about your parents. I fear we will be in the same boat soon. It's heartbreaking isn't it? I wish only the best for your family. We're here to listen.

P.S. "Cinnamike" was a good boy this week. He kept us all entertained. :thumbsup2

Just when AFEG thinks he's cornered the market on "Fresh ones"!!

Sorry, my one night off :rolleyes1 Rob came home tonight, went to pick him up at the airport and then we spent some family time together.

Kira is doing a little better, still kinda grumpy but seems fine. She tried peas tonight for the first time, almost as funny as the squash! :lmao: I gave her sweet potato the other day and so far she hates them all! She's turning out to be as fussy as her mother :rolleyes1  :sad2:

She can't crawl per se but she moves around LOL She goes on all fours, then sits back up, which leaves her 180 degrees from where she was :lmao: It's pretty funny actually. And yesterday was the first time I went to get her from her crib and she was sitting :rotfl:

Speaking of great ages, Harrison is almost 2 and is starting to talk. he can say so much. It is amazing how many words he learns each week.

Wow, I can only imagine!! Sounds like fun!! I keep saying mom and mommy to Kira, she keeps saying the same thing over and over again: mmmmmbop!!! Reminds of that song by Hanson :upsidedow

Good morning everyone...

Sorry for not weighing in:rolleyes1 - I've done it now...I'd like to tell you all I'd lost 5lb but I didnt:sad2: ...erm...not even 1lb actually:rolleyes:

I havent been great though. I skipped the gym yesterday in favour of having a blazing row with Neil:rolleyes: - this move has really got to us both. I think we'll be divorced before we move in at this rate.

He's chosen to work all weekend this weekend - good idea - I'd kill him if he was here.

Oh well, lifes a b*tch but it will all be worth it once we're in the house. We went to Ellis' new school last night for the funday. It was a nice evening an we managed to hunt down the headteacher and introduce ourselves. At least Ellis has seen inside the school now.

Its looking promising for wednesday moving. Just hope the weather improves - its been raining non stop for days:rolleyes: - I'll end up with a soggy home.

Heather - thank you:thumbsup2 - got the magnetic paper off ebay :thumbsup2 - bought 2 packets of 5 sheets inc postage for £8.25:thumbsup2 I'm hoping that if I have 10 sheets I have 9 to ruin and 1 to get right:rotfl: Thats usually how it works. God help me when it comes to printing t shirts:rotfl2: I'm leaving that til nearer the time.

Robin - make sure you take care of yourself as well as your parents. You'll be no good to anyone if you get run down and worn out:hug:

Have a nice weekend everyone

Karen:flower3:

Diane - wow! - just noticed your weight loss on the yahoo site! -

Well Done!!!!

Thats a great achievement:thumbsup2 - you'll be at your goal easily for the cruise - congratulations. Do you exercise too or just do the weight watchers?

I got to goal a couple of years ago at WW, but its crept back on since I stopped going and I'm nearly back to where I started. I really need to get back on those points:rolleyes: You're an inspiration. - My weight watcher books are packed up now, but once I move I'm going to start up again. I need to write it down each day or I cheat:rolleyes1

Once again, well done.

You too Nancy -you're doing fab:thumbsup2 it must have been all that pole dancing you did the other weekend;)

So, anyone made their t shirts yet?

I was going to make my door signs by just using the stuff I'd printed and bluetacking them on the door with normal paper, but now I have super dooper magnetic paper I'll have to do one on the pc and then print it:scared1: - any tips on how to start etc? Put it this way - I couldnt even follow the steps to get Disney font so dont get all technical on me:rolleyes1

I need to do a food shop. I've been running down the freezer and cupboards for weks now, but its got to the stage where nothing goes with enything...eg tonights meal could be sprouts, yokshire pudding and choc ices:rotfl2:

Sounds good eh! We ate out yeterday after the funday...I couldnt face anything in my cupboard:rolleyes:
