I was going to the gym today but cant be bothered now. The weihg in doesnt look promising for Friday - I have been ubber good this week and I think I've put on a pound - how does that happen , maybe if I eat a whole cheesecake I'll lose a few pounds - probably not, but it would be a nice experiment to try though eh!

Karen - did Cheesecake Factory whilst in SF. Then we marched up Nob Hill in order to get to the Cable Car Museum. Boy, was that a clmb. Won't be doing that again in a hurry, bu it was one way to burn off al those yummy calories.

They seem to have a lot better acts than we did. Not sure if it came down to editing.

I'm surprised Chris isn't pulling for the "Kit Kat Dolls".

Suz watched the videos and says she wants the 6-yo to win, but if Paul Potts doesn't, he should get something. I think he definitely will be picked up by some label or production.

She didn't see the other ones I pulled up. There was break dancer that wasn't too bad and some guy named Tony Laf (singer/musician). He was pretty good too.

I'm still pulling for Paul Potts.

Suz asks that our UK friends keep us updated on the competition.

Is this the first year they are having it there?

I'm sure there are some finer points that I'm missing, but my answer is the easy one.

Thank you very much, now i understand why she is so frustrated. With my experience with lawyers they are worthless, they never do what they say, never return calls, and charge you an arm and a leg.

You got away lightly with only the loss of one arm and one leg,solicitor's over here give grave robbers a bad name.....

Well a very good morning to you all

Trying to stay positive today - waiting for house news AGAIN and I'm trying to throw out a few positive vibes

We now have an additional twist to the tale as the Close that the house is on used to be a private road and therefore came under certain restrictions. These restrictions were never lifted once the council adopted the road , therefore now have extra problems, the land registry and more solicitors involved. However, I'm optimistic that we'll be in by christmas 2008 - if I dont laugh I'll cry.

Spent the whole day yesterday on the phone doing everyones job for them and helping the electrician.

I'm off to get my hair cut and coloured this morning so I'll feel half human again by noon - for some reason this time my hair is a lot greyer than usual - is it the worry of the house or the fact I'm approaching 40

Anyway, hope you all have a great day and things go well for all of you whatever you're doing.

Solicitors are at present running top in my hate campaign, closely followed by plumbers then plasterers. In fact all UK tradesmen are in my top 10 list
