Can you buy these silica gel small packs anywhere? I had horrible problems with my camcorder on our first cruise. It was one with a small tape in it. Now we bought a digital because it seems those people didn't have such problems. We couldn't take videos on the ship once we were out at sea. The camcorder would just shut down.

My digital camera was just fine.

Nancy would you like me to bring you some on the cruise ???I have plenty... and as I work where we sell LOTS of bags, I can get as man as you need.

I am sooo hoping to loose the 3lbs I put on last week, while on holiday this week. I am TRYING to be good, but Elouises birthday party is saturday and we have cases of beer ( for adults) and lots of party food, which is all naughty ! ( guess it will be me only, eating the carrot sticks and cucumber slices! ) Kids want ja sandwiches and cocktail sausages, chocolate cake and ice cream.............. not all together i hope !

Kristin turns 23 this coming Monday (June 11th) and we will also have a party for her. I offered to go out for dinner but she requested my spaghetti and meatballs with buttery garlic bread instead. I'll make sure that I have a tossed salad too. For dessert we are having her favorite: Confetti Angel Food Cake with strawberries and whipped cream.

Oh yeah, almost forgot...Happy Birthday Jessalyn!! (I hope I got that one right).

Your family boards with one pass. If all three of you come into the terminal at one time, they hand you only one pass. It is not an individual pass for each member.

Last time, Suz and DS entered the terminal abut 10 minutes before me. They got a number 2 and then I got one as well when I came in.

What we could do to be nice to our fellow DISers, is if people's spouses come in later, is take the additional pass and hand it off to another DISer who arrives later (say when the 4, 5 or 6's are being handed out). This way, all us KK's board about the same time.

I will not be a hoggy george....I will let someone else step up and offer to do this if they want. But if no one wants to volunteer, I will gladly come up with something.

As for the cameras on the cruise, just remember to let your camera adjust, don't go directly from A/C'd room to Castaway Cay. Give your camera time to adjust to the temps before using it. If you have a balcony, you can set your cameras out there for 15-20 mins before going ashore, that helps sometimes. We never had a problem last cruise doing this. Our first cruise, our cameras froze up all the time!

Got my new ticker on my signature tonight.

Just booked our flight to Miami to visit my cousin and her family, then
up to Melbourne for Sean to visit F.I.T. for a college tour and interview,
then we'll be spending the weekend with cousin and family at WDW!

It now makes up for the fact that we weren't going to go early before
our cruise.

Congrats on the upcoming WDW trip. We're still planning/deciding if we are doing ours.

And just an FYI...my kids still don't have their passports and Tony's is still coming up as "no record found" although they cashed his check a month ago. 13 weeks today for Kristin and Stacy. I guess it's all those people who are paying an extra $60.00/passport to get expedited service. They're hogging up all the agents.

Did you pay with a personal check? I would get a copy of the cancelled check and then call the Passport Office and request expidited service at no cost since they lost his. DS was actually due to mail out of New Orleans just 4 days after Katrina hit. It finally got to us several weeks later. At least they showed his in the system. I wouldn't let Tony's go too much longer.

When I was talking about the transfers, about the "shiny stuff" I will try and show you what I mean...

This first one is done with my old sheets that you can pass a sheet of paper over to get rid of the shiny part so it looks more like silk screening:

This one was done with Avery sheets and you can see the shiny part around the hearts:

Hopefully I can find some transfer sheets that are similar to my old ones where I can iron off the shiny stuff.

Cass, let me (us) know if you find a good transfer paper. Anything we should look for if we go to the store here or online that would let us know if the shiney stuff will be there?

We've just got back from seeing our new house again - still love it!
Just the one lot of solicitors holding the whole thing up now - they are going to see them today and hopefully get things moving FAST. Still hoping for the 15th as moving day. Considering we were hoping to be in by Easter.

I use the tiny sachets of silica gel - works a treat - absorbs the moisture and stops it getting fogged up. You usually get them inside handbags and shoe boxes etc - I always keep them and use them in this way.

How do you use the moisture bags? Do you just put it in the camera bag or do you put both in plastic bag? Just curious. We had one camera go on us in Playa del Carmen a few years back. Never thought to use those bags.

Yes, his "grandma" (not related but more of a grandma than his own - my mom is deceased, so you know who I'm talking about - the "outlaw") is in. Up at the Butt Crack of Stupid to get her from the airport. She took the red-eye in from Vegas last night. Landed at 5:19 a.m. I had to get up at 4:30 (I didn't get to sleep until 2:30 though, so I'm on 2 hours of sleep, plus 1 that I just did via a nap). I'm surprised how sunny it was at that time of the morning. Gotta love summer.

I was going to go into work tomorrow, but the G'ma's sister is off work tomorrow, so instead of having her watch DS tomorrow, I'll go to work today and have her watch him today. They are both sleeping right now. He was like the kid in the WDW commercial last night, "too excited to sleep". He was up until almost 11:00. Then Suz told me he was up at 5:45 this morning and asked if she was here yet. She told him to go back to bed that she just landed at 5:19. He's been out since.

I just took the one you made, saved it to photobucket, resized it to "thumbnail" and inserted it.

That imiage works for me. Don't think we need anything fancy. Since this is the one we will be using for shirts, then I figure it is the "offical" one.

The moisture bags are only about 1 1/2 inches square, made of thick paper. Just pop it into your camera bag and it absorbs any condensation etc. They are filled with tiny beads that I presume swell up if wet. If you dont have any - go out and buy your wife a nice pair of shoes and matching handbag - she'll be pleased and you'll get 2 gel bags Might be an expensive way to get them but you'll score brownie points with Suz

mike here. all this talk of passports has me curious. our TA told us we dont need a passport this time for our cruise. so we havnt bothered. we have never had passports before so we figured we would wait till next year.
