Excellent - I have been asked to update my Cabin number on the Yahoo site and I was just checking my reservation form and I dont see it there - I guess I will call tomorrow and get it figured out - where are you on the ship?

We are on deck 6 room 6046. Do you know what deck you are on. Depending on if you res slips looks like mine there should be a section that tells you the ship the port the departure date, return date, and then teh cabin and cat. It also lists your dinning on the same line.

yep we have hit tripel digits already this year. At least it is a dry heat. I don't think I could do humidity.

I didnt book through Disney - a friend of mine is a Travel Agent and she booked it for me. She told me I got the cabin I wanted but now I cant remember which one I asked for LOL.

If you arent looking forward to it because of your parents - i can totally relate. I tried to get my parents to come (same as you, have my oldest stay with them- saves a few hundred dollars)...but my parents said no - and I am so glad they did as the more I thought about spending a whole week with them - at such close proximity - I think I would have gone nuts. i was with them tonight and that was enough. The trip for us is for our DD, Mackenzie's 5th b-day. One reason we thought it would be nice to invite my parents. I love my parents but I always feel like they are passing judgement on me. That and my father and I don't get along real well. So I planned on drinking most of the time just to deal with them. (we have joining rooms). Well now my moms health is bad and she still wants to go, but she has no decided to use a wheelchair and will need to be pushed around. Well guess who gets to do that. It is not my father. I feel like having my parents along is going to be a big downer, because they do not like it when I drink (but yet it is ok for DH), and now my mom wants to do all this stuff but really can't so that limits me also.

ok so now I am crying because I am so stressed out even thinking about the trip. The whole thing is just a wreck. We planned on paying cash for the whole trip, now we are going to have to charge part of it because I did not work most of April because my mother was in the hospital and I had to be there. Now this month I have had to take time off to take care of her at home, and then work is cutting back on hours this month. I hate to ask but what else can go wrong with this trip.

My daughter turned 5 last Saturday (hopefully they can be friends) and it didnt matter what happened that day - it was wonderful as I just couldnt believe that she was already 5 years old (my little baby!). That is what matters - being with her for this very special and memorable moment. Hell with parents, $$$, or anything else. We are going to put more of this trip on Credit card than I had wanted to - but I would rather be in debt for a while then miss this opportunity. Life is too short with our kids.

I know you are stressed - with 3 kids and an ill Mother - how could you not be - try and focus on that big Mouse and know that he will ensure that you have a great time - he always does.

so I take it the 2 older kids are your step-kids?? Do they live with you all the time - I know that is tough too. my 14 year old is my neice. She has lived with us since she was 6.5 years old. She is a real hand full.

Yes, Kelsey and Kyle are my step kids I have been a part of their life since they were 3 and 2 but that does not seem to amount to much with them. Kelsey is 12, she just moved in with us full time in April. Kyle just turned 11 and lives with his mom full time. Kelsey is supposed to see her mom every friday and every other weekend, Kyle comes to us on everyone other weekend and every Monday. Up until 2004 the kids were with us full time.

WOW - it sounds like we have a lot we can relate to each other. I find it very hard on parents today with the new trend that kids move back and forth between families.

Its too late to get all into it - another night maybe - but we have/are raising 3 kids that are not ours. Nephew of my better half, Kevin, age 22 now. Lived back and forth between us and his horrible mother since he was 10 until he was 18 when I kicked him out for the last time after I caught him using my ATM card to steal money out of our account to give to his Mother. Nepher of my better half, Cory , age 21 now and already has a son who is almost 1. His Mother committed suicide when he was 11 so he moved in with us. He had so many people (in the family and outside of it) feeling so sorry for him that every time he didnt like a rule we imposed - he would run away and find a family that would take him in (dont get me wrong - horrible that his MOm died but he played that card too often). He would run away and I wouldnt know if he was alive or dead for days at a time. Neice of mine, Vanessa, 14 who used to live with her Grandparents but now lives with us. She isnt as bad as the boys but we still have to deal with her Mom at times. And her grandparents treat her VERY SPECIAL, to the point that my kids are kind of forgotten by them.

But that is the excitement of families in this millenium - I dont know too many of the old fashioned families any more.

REMEMBER what I said - focus on your daughter- not on all the noise around you - there will always be something out there that can bring you down. You cant let it get to you - for her sake!

Did your Travel not give you an 8 digit DCL confirmation number? They should have! With this number you can go to DCL's website and go under your reservation and check out your reservation details. You will need to do this if you want to make any advanced reservations at the 90 or 75 day mark for Palo, excursions etc.

Too bad I'm on a diet or I would be at Harveys all days tomorrow

I agree wholeheardely about the turning 40 thing - I am turning 40 on June 6th - the cruise is my birthday gift to myself.....I think its great being this age.
