Ok, gotta get back to chores...:scared1:

Have a great week-end everyone!!! :cool1:

What a lucky woman you are!!! 4 celebrations? I'm lucky to get one! I have been pre-invited to two 40th birthday all-girl trips but neither of them turn 40 until 2010. 40 IS the new 30, so why am I feeling so down about being 34 lately? I know, get over it. ;)

Ok so if 40 is the new 30 then why am I wigging out about turning 30. A birthday has never bothered me but this one is really getting to me.

Nancy,
Eating vinegar with your fries is definitely an Eastern Canada thing. In Quebec, there are a lot of hot dog/fries fast food places (not like here in Calgary hhmmppfff  ) and in the condiment area you will always find ketchup and vinegar! I don't know why they would freak out when you put ketchup on your fries though?? We do that too!

I do remember when I was a kid and went down to Plattsburgh all the time (Montreal is close to New York State so we went all the time) we never could find our two favourite kinds of potato chips, "Ketchup" and "Salt 'n Vinegar". Is that still the case or has that changed?

You can find Salt'n Vinegar, they are one of my faves!!:thumbsup2

Ok, this should be my last one....

Let's change pace a little....

I can't wait to see this again!!!

I've never seen Ketchup chips but they sure do have the Salt n Vinegar now.

Okay, well I will just continue to jabber on...

Nancy, if 20 people are playing, don't we need 19 gifts??? :confused3

Yes, I was planning on giving myself one of my own. :rotfl2:

So for DIS tag, I am counting 17 people so far, but I think Jessalyn said she wanted to join as well, but it's not marked on the KK site. SO if we are at 18, only two more to join right?

AverysMommy, Jessalyn, does want to play too. I added her on the DIStag table last night didn't I? I better go and check. She still has to add herself to the other tables though. I sent her a PM to get her cabin number for the tag game and I'm waiting to hear back from her.

Cass, I love Kira's pictures. I think I need to borrow one or two of them to post in my office at work when the boss walks in. :lmao: :rotfl2: Just kidding (maybe). :confused3

I can't believe we missed AFEGs picture by mere moments!! Maybe tomorrow.

And Karen, hands of AFEG! He's all ours. I'll share Jack Sparrow with you but not our AFEG :sad2:

Janice are you using photobucket to post your pictures? If so I might actually be able to tell you how to get them a little smaller but I don't really think that's necessary beacuse they are such nice pictures.

Cheryl

If you are using photobucket, above the pictue you are going to post it says edit, click on that and then click on resize and then I think it is the website/email option that will make the picture come up smaller than your last one but bigger than the first one you posted. Then you will find your img that you need to copy in the lower right hand corner. Ihope I am telling you this correctly but I think this is what I did when I posted some pictures a few weeks ago and thought they were too big. Good luck!

Morning folks.... just got back from dropping Ellis off at Beavers.:sad2: What a nightmare.:sad1: He's going on an adventure day today - they have allsorts planned, abseiling, rock climbing, grass sledging etc etc, but when I got there they refused to give Ellis his epipen in an emergency as they are not covered to do so.. They dont need to be covered... just trained (which they are). I even took the training pen with me so she could have a go to be more comfortable doing it in an emergency.

Its never been a problem before cos I am within a 4 minute drive of the Scout hut so I could get there to inject him if he needed it. Today however I presumed they would take it cos they accepted his slip and took his money knowing full well he cant go anywhere without his medibag. The main woman just said there would be a first aider at the adventure place and that they could do it. They are totally missing the point... he cant wait for someone to leave the main building, find whatever bit of the site they are on and do it...there just isnt time for that. He can be dead in 5 minutes. Well, I got really upset and had to tell Ellis he couldnt go. The poor kid is standing there in his uniform with his backpack full of picnic goodies and his mom is crying telling him he cant go.:sad1:

One of the other leaders stepped in and agreed to do it for him if necessary. Thank goodness. I can understand them being wary, but the woman who refused point blank is the main leader, works at a school, has had epipen training regularly but still refused to help Ellis in an emergency.:sad2: "

WOW - that amazes me that trained people arent willing to stand up and say I WILL HELP IF NEEDED. Would they not jump in a pool if someone was drowning?!?!?!?!?!?

Someone asked me what poutine was...sorry it took me so long to answer that!!

It's a Quebec dish, basically home made french fries covered in cheese curds and gravy OMG it's SOOOOOOOO good! Just a few calories LOL :lmao:

It may look a little gross but it's oh so delish!!!

Here's a pic:

And it's pronounced pooh-teen :)

POUTINE is awesome - you can get it now in HARVEYS in Canada - I wonder if Harveys in the USA carry it??

CASS - did you hear that Harveys is giving away free Hamburgers all day on Sunday May 27th throughout Canada? I know where I am going for lunch

Well I survived my 2 days of shopping with 3 13 year old girls :scared1: Actually things went very well and I had a nice time. I think taking the 2 extra girls along actually made it nicer because Rachel was so happy to have her cousin and a friend along it took away the usual tension that often develops when the 2 of us go shopping. I am now exhausted though and see there are over 10 pages to get caught up on again here so I think I will probably leave most of that for tomorrow.

Cheryl

Tables are usually 4, 6, 8 and I think 10 or 12 top. If you only want a table for your size, put in a request that you want a 4 top (if it is just you, DH, DS and DD). It is only a request, however, and we didn't get it 2 of the 3 times we requested it. You may want to go to Rockin Bar D when you get on the ship to verify and possibly change your dining situation.

Actually I was thinking the opposite - it would be great to have a table with another family as long as the kids were close to the ages of our kids. There will be 5 of us so maybe we can get a table of 10 and have another family placed with us.

THanks for the info

I tried what Cheryl said to do, we'll see if this is a better size. Thanks Cheryl.
By the way, Bryce is the one running w/the ball
