Dont forget to bring a pillowcase or T shirt with you, take it to guest servcies on the first day ( in a m plastic ziplock bag and with sharpies) they will get all the characters to sign it for your kids. Makes FANASTIC gifts, and its FREE!:)

Heres Elouises one to match her room ( she only wanted these princesses to sign) however her friends had pillowcases that had over 20 signatures on! :thumbsup2

Now I'm even MORE excited for the cruise upon seeing the pictures :rotfl: Figures... it's already feeling like it's SO far away! :)

I feel like I'm currently drowning in wedding planning! I barely have time to breathe much less post. :( I feel bad because I want to get to know you guys so much but I've been so busy lately. I'm hoping it calms down here shortly so that I can breathe again. :)

Trying another picture, but it didn't work. I will figure this out! I am in my Photobucket account but still haven't got it figured out.

Are you close to having everything done? It is ALOT of work but it will be so worth it in the end. :thumbsup2

heres a question for dvc owners. just out of curiosity what is the annual fee? i was watching the dvd they sent us and they keep talking about an annual fee but never tell you how much it is. i guess they want you to call them to find out. just curios. its way out of our league anyway but we can dream...

can you tell robins out of town. ive been on the boards a lot this weekend. thats because i have no friends.

Mike The annual fee for DVC owners depends upon what your home resort is and how many points you have. We dreamt of DVC for years and finally bought in 2004. My only regret is that we didn't buy sooner! Keep dreaming and hopefully that dream will come true for you some day too! pixiedust:

Ok, anyone know a cheap and cheerful hotel by the port? We wont be getting there til gone 11.30pm, so it will be just to crash in so I dont care how basic or fancy it is. Also, do any of them do a transfer to the ship on the morning and let you leave your car onsite in their car park? If so, would it be safe or would we be better off parking in the disney port car park?

When I made our reservation at the Country Inn they did have something that included free parking. I think they charge $3.00 per person for the shuttle.

Welcome aboard MinnMick01!!! This is an awesome place and a fantastic group of cruisers!

Nancy, tell them about the KK's!! :thumbsup2

Okay, since I wasn't impressed with the Radisson at the Port last trip, I decided to stay somewhere else this trip for the night before the cruise.

Checked online with Residence Inn...no vacancy!
Checked online with Ron Jon...no vacancy
Called Ron Jon...(just in case!) no vacancy!

I guess I will have to go with my third choice, the Doubletree. I probably should book soon huh?

Cass the Country Inn still has rooms available on their web site. They have a AAA/CAA discount in case you belong to CAA. At the Country Inn you can cancel with no penalty up to the day of arrival so even if you make a reservation and then decide on something else you could always cancel.

There is my DD 12, DS 11, DD 5, we are going for her 5th b-day which is on the 21st. Our full day at sea. We have also talked my parents into going. Talk about a stressful trip. I am hoping it is all going to be worth it. :woohoo:

Welcome MinnMick :welcome: I have a DD Rachel who will be 13 when we cruise. She loves to make friends and has been emailing with some of the other girls that will be on the cruise. I'll let her know there is another girl on the cruise near her age. We are a family of 3. Myself, DH Al and Rachel. Welcome to the Konked Kruisers!

So I have to ask what type of room did you all book. We have to seperate rooms there was just no way we could splurge for a family suite. We have myself, Carrie, DH Scott, DD Kelsey 12, DS Kyle 11, DD Mackenzie 5. We are taking this cruise as part of Mackenzies b-day. Oh and Grandma and Grandpa are going with us.

Carrie we have a Cat 6 on deck 6. This will be our 5th Disney cruise and our first cruise with a veranda. All 4 of our past cruises we were lucky to get a secret porthole cabin but they were all gone by the time we booked this so we decided to splurge and get a veranda this time. Now I am picking up extra hours at work to get it payed off :rotfl:
What a special birthday present for Mackenzie!

STILL havent heard from DCL... I forwarded the e mail AGAIN this morning..............:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Lindy I talked to my friend Lynn and she would like to join us for the wine tasting. And seeing that there are other men going both my DH Al and Lynn's DH Chris said to count them in too. So there will be 4 of us.

Oh Abby looks like the girls will have lots of mates to buddy up with! :)

Last Oct on a 4 night cruise, Elouise made great friends with 2 lovely American girls, Kylie and Nicole. They went EVERYWHERE together.:cutie:
It was sooooo sad on the last day, when they had to all say goodbye. I was actually crying watching them hug and cry.

It really did help make the cruise very special, and she enjoyed the club time and pool time so much more....as any only child, she often only has mum or dad to play with.

Rachel has cryed everytime we have gotten off the Magic too. I think the older she gets the harder she cries and of course I've been known to shed a tear or 2 when leaving the ship and the new friends we made. Poor Al he justs rolls his eyes and says "women".

Just nudging us to the top.

I see we will move into spot 13 sometime on Monday.

The next challenge is to pass the Med Repo thread. They leave on Saturday and we are about 1,400 post behind them. They are cruising for 14 days. That is only 100 post a day. Can we do it people? Or should I say, WE CAN DO IT PEOPLE! :cheer2:

We dreamt of DVC for years and finally bought in 2004. My only regret is that we didn't buy sooner! Keep dreaming and hopefully that dream will come true for you some day too! pixiedust:

I totally agree Cheryl, we too wish we'd bought it sooner. We joined after our DCL cruise in 2000. Do you go to the DVC meets on board? They're a fun way to hear any latest DVC news.

Welcome MinnMick! We too have a DD (Katie) who will be 5 on the cruise. She turns 5 this month! We also have a DD (Sammie) who will be 3 on the cruise. Sounds like there will be a bunch of 5 year old girls in our bunch!

Anyone been watching the Tudors on Showtime? It's been pretty interesting. We've really been enjoying the cable dramas, like Rome and Deadwood. Too bad they're over. (Though I hear Deadwood is trying to make a final movie to tie up loose ends.) I'm glad Sopranos is ending. I'm rather bored with it.

I don't even want to think about the cruise ending. It's so majorly depressing. We're going back to WDW for one more day on that Sat, 10/27. Should be real interesting the first time we have to pay for a meal! What - pay for a meal?! And where's my towel animal when we get back to our room at the Poly?! Sigh - that will be a sad day!

To Lindy & Chris - hooray for Manchester United! :woohoo:

G'night everyone!

Got my hair trimmed today. Decided to get it a bit shorter for the summer. Nothing too drastic though.

We are also a Cat 6 on deck 6. Out of all my cruises this will be the first veranda for me. I thought about cutting back and doing an inside room or just a porthole. I have had both on other cruises. But I felt it was time to do it right this time. I am hoping that all the extra hours at work for myself and DH are worth it. :thumbsup2
