Jeff is usually on bright and early but looks like he spent too much time doing taxes last night.

So, Karen, plz explain. UK'ers don't do their own income tax returns? Your employers do them for you? I wouldn't trust mine to get them done on time. Very lacksadaisikle around here. (Lacksadaisikle...now there's a word. )

Well the big snow storm we had didn't seem too bad yesterday. I still made it home from work in 1/2 hour. It was a heavy wet snow. I think it'll be gone by the weekend.

Any other Wisconsinites care to comment?

I did see a few cars in the ditches and a few little fender benders but nothing serious. Then again I wasn't on the interstate either. Chuck said he saw quite a few accidents yesterday on his way back from Madison. One verrrrry serious one too. A baby car seat was laying on the road and the car was covered with a tarp. That means there was probably a death involved or something awfully gruesome.

We probably got 8 inches or so, the kids actually are starting school late by 2 hrs, to have time to clear the roads. There was alot of drifting.
So I too am playing hookie from work by 2 hrs, so I will go when I take the kids.

Nancy I am REALLY not the best person to ask. Someone will come along and explain it for you but we pay tax as we earn it through the year. Well, I dont cos I dont earn anything

Sorry Nancy - I nipped over to The Dibb to catch up on a few threads but I'm back now.

Maybe I shouldnt be moaning about the sun being behind a cloud when you all have suxh lousy weather - its a very mild 17 degrees here today and I'm sitting here in a tshirt and the doors to the garden wide open.

Ellis was playing with water pistols in the sunshine yesterday at his Grandma's. He got her with his Super Soaker and she looked like a drowned rat when I went to fetch him

Hey Janice, thanks for joining in and playing with me and Nancy We've had a lovely spell of weather here in the UK....on the news yesterday it was saying we've been hotter than Spain and lots of Europe forthe last week or so

Snow shovelling doesnt sound like fun

Sorry - no - its centigrade not farenhite (sp). About 60 something? - not very good at converting from one to another.

Its a bit like people still measuring in feet and inches over here. We've been metric for donkeys years, but I'm still 5'3" - no idea what I am in metres?

Same with weights and measures - we still say a pound of sugar etc instead of a kilo. Depends on your age really. My parents havent a clue when it comes to centimetres - everything will stay in inches as far as they are concerned. Mind you, everyone is bad at it. We still buy carpet by the yard, weigh ourselves in stones and pounds etc etc . We're just mad english people - you'll get used to us eventually

Ok, just looked it up on a conversion chart - its 62 degrees here today or 17 centigrade. Lovely and warm for an spring day in England

She's a goal keeper and Yes Ryan DID play a goalie too but because of his ill health and the fact we play during the winter when the weather is so cold and damp here we decided it simply ain't worth it for the little fella so he gave it up.......

ps...Were off to the dominican republic wedding that never was this weekend....grand national and FAC semi final day...DO'H hello who has a wedding on this day?......
