We havent got DVC points... to be honest not sure what it really is, and thats fine... we plod along as we are:)

Last 3 holidays have been for 3 weeks and we have had the same villa in Windsor palms,..................... lush ! :) .... now we are having a shoter holiday 17 nights...:scared1: and we are staying in the All Star movies... ( not my choice, but Elouise feel in love with the pictures, icons etc) it is very reasonable, so Wayne was happy... I wanted to Poly, but that was too expensive. So as we often only crash in the room anyway, on shorter holidays, Im sure the ASM will be fine! One small room will HAVE to stay tidy......................... OMG the mess we made of the villa, ( not trashed, just lived in and spread around! ) I felt like it was my home by the 3rd week. Last year we did 3 weeks in villa, in the middle a 4 night cruise and Royal Pacific for the other nights in the middle. Expensive to pay for a villa AND other accomadtion, but so great to pack a small suitcase and go !

Its been 20 today, sunny and warm, we have been in the garden and cleaning the car, ( before the hose pipe ban, thats sure to follow any sunshine! )

Bearing mind we have a 5 yr old princess in tow. what do you think to these ADRS i plan to make .

Thinking about Crystal Palace or Liberty tree? might just book and see nearer the time.

We intened to eat at Sweet Tomatos, Outback, An italian by Race rock ( cant remember name) Bhama breeze x 2 as well.

Linda,

just wanted to give you a heads up that you and Wayne will have a starring role in my next trip report installment - either tonight or tomorrow.

As for the ADRs - they sound great for a little one! We're going to try Crystal Palace in October since so many people say such great things about it.

Chef Mickey's is a lot of fun, too!

oh Brenda Im all excited !!! fame at last !!:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

We like C Palace very much the food is good and its great to eat in the park, but sit down and cool off !

Disney Magic departure delayed by bomb scare
Saturday's departure of the Disney Magic cruise ship was delayed and passengers were evacuated from the ship after a bomb-sniffing dog detected something in the ship's mail during a routine search of the ship. The dog homed in on a package sent to a crewmember around noon and all passengers were evacuated from the ship and from Terminal 8 to Terminal 5 while the sheriff's office was called in to investigate. Those passengers not already in the terminal were diverted from the parking lot and directed to return later.

After scanning the package, the sheriff's office determined that it contained a wireless device for a crewman's laptop computer. It was confirmed that the crewmember was expecting the device, and that it was not a danger. An all-clear was given at 3:30 p.m., and all passengers were able to board the ship for departure. While this delay posed an inconvenience for the passengers, it is certainly understandable that Disney took the necessary precautions to ensure that there was no hazard posed to the guests before allowing the cruise to board.

JUST SEEN THIS ON ANOTHER BOARD!!! yikes ! glad all was OK!

We love the crystal palace. Very laid back and very good food. I'm not sure if you were thinking of doing the pooh breakfast, but it is excellent. In Feb. we went there with 10 of us and it was great. The characters got around to our kids twice!!
Great pictures and one waiter noticed the DD10 was wearing a High School Musical t shirt and told her a story about Corbin Bleu being there just weeks before and sitting at the table across from us. She was so excited. All the staff was great!!
We also Have eaten at Liberty tree. It was also very nice. The meal is served homestyle. The characters are the main ones so I think the Crystal palace is the better choice to see the pooh characters that you don't see on the ship.

Hi everyone..

A little slow at work today so I thought I'd create a new link on the Yahoo site for all those who have been asking me for a complete KK list.

You'll find it under: Konked Kruiser Inventory :)

If you don't want your info to appear, or if you wish to add to it, you may.

Karen, Brenda, Jeff

Do any of you know how to convert my new spreadsheet on Yahoo to one that would print in Landscape form? I printed it out and it could be easier to read if it printed out differently.

Any ideas?

:confused3

Sorry to butt in but... Here's some info on us
Me= Lori 33princess:
Husband= Scott 38pirate:
DD= Alex 10princess:
DD= Julia 4princess:
DS= Harrison 1pirate:

We live in Virginia. I work very close to Quantico. I can't remember who is moving there but welcome to VA!!!!!! Let me know if I can help with any info. i work with 2 ladies who's husbands are there.
Has anyone picked out excurisions yet? We are having a tough time finding ones the Julia can go also. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hi Lori,
Yes, my family is moving to Quantico this summer. It will be our 4th time living in that area, so we are happy. We are looking to live on base, but may have to rent something out in town while we wait for something to come available on the base. Do you work in Stafford? I hear it is really built up since I was there-5 years ago.
As for excursions, one good thing about this cruise is that there are many things to do on your own in each of the ports. Key West is definitely walkable. Grand Cayman, I am a little sketchy. We are just doing the Pirate Encounter and maybe some shopping for rum cake. And Cozumel has those wonderful beaches just a cab ride away.:thumbsup2

Paige

i work in Fredericksburg. The area is going out of control. Mary Washington is building a new hospital in Stafford to open in 2009.
I was definitely looking at that Pirate encounter. Isn't that the one where you ride a boat and encounter pirates before off to beach for the Day? That one looks perfect for our whole family.
We have done Chakanaab before and enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind doing something different there.
Key West==nothing seems to catch my eye. I didn't like it that much the first time I was there. I did the train trolley tour and me and my sister both fell asleep during the tour. Our guide was so boring.

Thanks for getting that list together, Nancy! It's nice to have everything in one place.:)

Oh yeah, Thanks Nancy!!! That made my job of trying to learn everyone alot easier!!!!!! :woohoo:

Reminder on the new link on Yahoo. There are two pages, so if you don't find your info on page 1, go to page 2 and you'll find yourself there.

Well, since I've been on my Cozumel beaches craze, I thought I'd share one more thing with y'all. For my family, I have narrowed it down to Paradise Beach or Playa Mia (I think I have already said that.) These are the ones with the trampoline and iceberg. There may be others, but these are the ones I've found. Here are the links........

Playa Mia.....http://www.playamia.com/

Paradise Beach........http://www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com/

Sorry if this a repeat. I am kind of forgetful.:confused3

We went to Paradise in January. There wasn't really any snorkeling there and there was seaweed near the shore.

I don't know much about Playa Mia.

Next time we get to Coz we will either go back to Chankanaab or try one of the other ones. The one from the list you linked to that looked interesting was the one that is on a semi-private beach. I think the butterfly place was right there too.

Did you look into Mr. Sancho's? I remember seeing an Iceberg there, but not sure about a trampoline. They were just south of Paradise.

Thanks, Jeff. :) What I like about the Cozumel beaches is that we can decide where we want to go or change our minds when we get there. Of course I will "decide" and change my mind 50 times until then!!

Paige and Jeff thanks for the info and links!

Linda,

From what I can tell, this is the deal.

Playa Mia has 3 packages....
BASIC $ 15.00 USD (tax included)
- FIESTA $ 38.00 USD (tax included)
- PREMIUM $ 49.00 USD (tax included)

Prices are for adults and children. Children age 2 and under enter free.

The differences between the packages are listed below:
Basic package: Entrance to park, sun chair, all non-motorized water sports and park facilities. Fiesta package: Basic + unlimited domestic open bar (draft beer, bottled water, soft drinks, Margaritas, Rum Punch, Piña Coladas, Daiquiris in assorted flavors, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Brandy, Mezcal, fruit juices and coffee.) Premium package: Fiesta + International buffet, towel & snorkel equipment (mask,fins & snorkel)

Paradise is free to enter the beach but it is $9 for a wristband to do the water toys (trampoline, iceberg, kayaks, etc.). They also have their menu posted on their website and the drinks are $7 for 14 oz drink (margaritas, daiquiris, etc.)

To me it seems like the food at Playa Mia is buffet and the food at Paradise is restaurant style (you can get in on the beach but you place an order)....

Check out their sites and the post I put up a couple of pages back with the Playa Mia info.

Hope this helps and glad to see you are back and posting again.
