I just looked. StL only needed 83 last year.

How sad of Division is that. 2 games over .500 and you win your division.

Can I get paid millions for being right only half the time?

Not that it matters, but I look at the 10 saves that Jason Isringhaussen blew last year as a huge difference. The birds might have only won 83 games but they were definitely a better team than their record indicated - when the line-up was healthy.

However, no team should have two 8-game losing streaks in the course of a championship year.

I think this division can actually be quite good if all the pieces fall into place - we just have to get past April...always something of a snoozer in the season as far as I'm concerned.

Now I think I'm going to go get some lunch. I wish I could find a guavaberry colada around here.

April is usually the good month for us. We fall apart by June. July and August are just ugly.

We cooked Brats on Monday in honor of opening day. Man those were good. The ones at Pluto's aren't as good, but feed the craving during the week.

I assume you mean Bratwurst? Brats mean annoying children in the UK.

Same here (and on DCL). And yes, Brat is short for Bratwurst.

UPDATE:

We have fallen back to #17. The May Med Repo is about 70 posts ahead of us.

I don't think we'll be able to match their rate until they have gone and then again about a couple of weeks after they get back.

We'll have to do our best to stay close to them and then overtake them while they are gone.

We will get an easy bump to #16 when both of us pass #15 in the next week.

I think 13th is the best we'll get to.

14 is only doing about a page a day and 13 is very slow as well, but still over 2,000 posts ahead of us.

12 is 5,500 posts ahead of 13, or 7,500 post ahead of us. I don't see us getting there.

To get into the top 10 we'd have to get north of 15-20K posts. I can only post Borat and steal pages so many times.

I had a dream last night where we were all together for a cruise meeting! I don't know what too many of you look like, but everyone was there! Nancy began by announcing we all had to name something we wanted to change before the cruise. What a strange dream! Like an AA meeting or something!
