I will be at WDW Resort from 10/25 to 10/29 for my first extended solo trip and I’m so nervous! I have made solo trips to the parks before but only for one day. Can anyone provide any tips for making the trip more enjoyable? Or share experiences? I would love to possibly meet up with anyone as well if they’re interested. Thank you!

Solo trips are wonderful. You're not bound to anyone else's preferences when it comes to rides, food, or anything else.
It's much easier to get last minute Fastpasses, or to change your Fastpass plans, as a solo traveler, so you don't have to be bound to the ones you got at the 60 day window.
It's also pretty easy to get dining reservations last minute.
Are you staying on property?

Yes I am somewhat staying on property. I am staying at one of the hotels right next to Disney Springs. It’s a five minute walk from there. I think I’m worried about the parks being too crowded. This was a last minute trip because the hotel and flights were so inexpensive. I have a four day park hopper but my fast pass options right now aren’t the best - except for MK.

I can't offer any tips for making the script more enjoyable because I don't know you or what is making you nervous. I can share my experiences:

I did my first trip to WDW solo back in 2007. 10 days. I had held off for many years thinking I needed to go with someone. I've now gone solo 6 times. In many ways I prefer my solo trips to trips with others. I love setting my own schedule and not having the "what do YOU want to do now?" conversation. If the parks are too crowded I love having the option to just wander around enjoying the sights. I really enjoy simply taking the various transportation options.

Other than your worry that the parks may be too crowded (they will), what else are you nervous about?

I think my general nervousness comes from being there for four days alone and not having somebody with me like I usually do. I think I will try the different forms of transportation and maybe resort hop as well. I’ve never really done that before.

I agree. On my last trip I was fairly successful in modifying my FP and getting decent FP after using my first three. I was also able to get good ADRs at the last minute.

Bear in mind that it is much easier for one person to navigate a crowded park than it is a group that is trying to remain together. Also, if there are long lines for your must-do attractions and you are unable to get FP, you don’t have to answer to anyone if you choose to get in line and wait.

If your concern is that you will feel self-conscious, it is unlikely that anyone will notice that you are alone. Who cares if they do anyway; you don’t know them and are unlikely to ever see them again. If your concern is loneliness, you can keep in touch with your friends and family by phone, text, and video chats. Make plans for how you will occupy your time when you are alone (standing in lines, waiting for shows, waiting for meals to be served, etc.). You could read a book, catch up on social media, or play games.

Most of my trips have been with my family, but recently I have had more solo trips. I almost prefer solo trips now because I’m only responsible for making myself happy.

I took a one day solo trip back in July where I flew round trip from philly on the same day. It was amazing because I got a quick fix and before you knew it I was back home. I decided to take this four day trip to see how much different it would be. Hopefully I will meet some cool people along the way.
