Historically, are there ever late October discounts on hotels issued in the coming weeks?

The current hotel discounts cut off at the end of September.

I’m looking to book soon. Should I hold off and wait for possible discounts?

October is a super busy time so don't count on huge discounts. If you can, though, book hotels that allow cancellation 48 hours in advance and keep checking back for lower rates.
