I may be joining you October 2017 countdown. We are definitely going to the Fort in 2017. Deciding now what month, but September/October is looking better and better.

Curtains look great, love the blackout idea. If you din't say anything about the paper bags, looks to me like mosaic tile.
I'm with you Teamubr, now that my kids are older, we're looking into Sept/Oct as well

Thank you everyone, I am so happy with how it is turning out. I think we are ready for our trial run camp weekend.

Things have been kind of slow with the camper over the last couple weeks. My father in law had a massive heart attack and past away. We have been away at his funeral. Back to working on the camper tomorrow. Hope to get the paper bag wall sealed and some of my decals up this weekend. AND if he get the water tested, we can get the beds back where they belong. Then the only thing left will be the carpet.

Quick answer when ever you can. For us, we liked Sept. but did find a bit too warm for us. Late Nov into early Dec had nicer weather and crowds after Thanksgiving were low. Jan low crowds and while weather was fine for us it is Jan , we'll be there again this year from Christmas time into Jan.

I'd pick first week November...better chance of still being warm with perhaps less daily rain chance and crowds a bit less post Halloween but before Thanksgiving/Christmas. If I had the choice....

Have done the week before Thanksgiving and the weather was a flip flop. Arrived to high 70s, mid week 30s in the morning and rain, then back to 70s. If you go during November I would suggest a good balance of clothing be packed just in case.

Last trip we did 2nd week of October because it was DDs fall break and the weather was warm all the way through with the scattered showers that we all love.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!! Our ongoing slideout saga is hopefully to be fixed today. DH took it into the factory at Thor this morning and they were going to take a look at it. I'm not sure what has happened because he has no phone signal to call me but he did get a text to me that says they found some problems and think they can fix them. Seeing as how the slideout has broken 7 times in the last two years and Camping world has said it was fixed every time, I'm not going to hold my breath. But maybe with the factory doing it instead of the service department at camping world it really will get fixed this time. I'm hopeful!
