October 2016- It's Official

Excited to say we will be at the Fort from Oct. 21- Nov. 2 in a premium site. Reservations made, airline tickets purchased, time off granted. ( not necessarily in that order). So far have only bought tickets for MNSSHP on Oct. 25th and dinner reservations for the Crystal Palace that evening.
I would like to try the Rivers of Light Dining Package if it is still offered. Also looking forward to Soarin' and the new frozen ride. DH and I also enjoy the offerings of the Food and Wine Festival.
I know that I have 5 months to put in but a girl's got to dream. Hoping some other Disers will be there at the same time.
Keep those trip reports coming over the next months so I can get my Fort fix until my time has come!

We will be back in October also in a premium site October 28 - November 2. We love Halloween at the Fort (my avatar!) lol Going to the party on the 30th but love Halloween at the fort especially the golf cart parade and all of the trick or treaters.

My DW is the "BIG TIME" Planner. She has her spreadsheet of where we eat, which park, what events, etc... She color codes and will change it dozens (if not hundreds) of time before our trip in August. She also is working on the plan for our November trip. She has also reserved a site for April 2017 and is talking again for Next August 2017.... I hope she gets a new job to pay for it all.

She works the budget to plan it all out too.... She has a notebook for that. Me.... I'd go nuts doing all that she does. Her hard work DOES pay off though. She finds deals and offers and makes it all work.

I can't wait for this and the added "stuff" at Animal Kingdom. Besides Magic Kingdom, it's always been my favorite park.

Never soon enough. We are also planning a trip in March with the kids. The oldest and youngest are at the same university this year so Spring Break will match up. Middle child planning on working this coming year after graduation from medical lab assistant program, hoping she can get time off.

I have tried to book the Rivers of Light dining package on line but it shows no times available. Not sure what is going on with this, perhaps a review of the dining forum will shed some light on this.

We'll be there visiting my in-laws in early October. I had no idea Fort Wilderness had such a following! The crazy thing is they probably know and/or recognize many of you but since they're older the don't really use message boards. They've got a nice set of Hitchhikers.

Is the River of Light the night time show at AK? If so, it is only scheduled through mid September.
