Hi, we're from the UK so I'm not sure any of these discounts work for us as we have to pre pay.

I've found a rental through uscarhire.com and its using Alamo from the Dolphin hotel or Disney car care centre. I can get a Chevrolet Tahoe for the equivalent of $333 for a week. Oct 29th.

Is this a good price? Or I can get a Toyota RAV4 for $238. We do like a big car but is the Chevy too big!?!

I can't comment on the company or rate - but you will be able to get to the pick up locations from disneyworld easily (take Magical Express from the airport?).

Assuming there are 4 of you, I would go for the Tahoo. We think Rav4s are smaller than some sedans. It's nice for everyone to be able to sit in the car and not touch anyone else when it's hot!

Thanks for the reply. Yes theres 4 of us with one in a car seat. We don't need it for luggage (just shopping bags!!) as we're already at the BC and we rent in our second week. It's more a comfort thing as we're having a day out to Clearwater so want a nice drive. DH is used to driving vans so i think he's ok with the the size.

I bit the bullet and just booked a full size 10/22-10/27 with Dollar for $159. It was a City Special. It did go down from $208 so I'm ok ..... For now, but still hoping for less

are they going to honor the coupon on a reservation already made?

Picked up my rental on May 7th. The gate attendant had to call her supervisor for an over-ride on the $50 coupon as it was coming up 'expired'. I merely stated I booked it and pre-checked in the reservation. Took a few minutes, but they honored the rate.

Have same code/coupon utilized for our October trip. An early NS flight dropped in price and I changed our plans to book, effectively giving us a full day in the parks vs our original late arrival that day.

Couldn't modify the reservation online. Via the Alamo website, sent an email indicating same and asking that they change our arrival time. Within a few hours, received courteous email back with the necessary changes...coupon intact.

I have no qualms about using the existing reservation, but there's alot of time between now & then, if something better pops up, i'll book it and cancel the original.

How weird. Perhaps the cookies stored on the page are causing it to glitch? Maybe try it on your phone to seeif you get the same error?

it looks like the $50 coupon just doesn't work. I tried the $25 one and it did. We are still pretty far out so there should be another $50 that comes out closer to your dates

just plug any code into res form and it will list name of corporate code. No idea if that is affiliated with the hotel chain or not. appears to be producing same rates as WDW AP code.

please pull the $50 coupon information from post #1

any reservations with it are now being locked. You cannot modify or checkin online.

I noticed this issue today when trying to checkin for a rental @ MYR later this month.

texted alamo, was told it is expired and will not be honored. All reservations that have it included currently will have the $50 coupon removed at time of pickup.

The good news is i was able to salvage the low weekly rate I had in place and call them to add a $25 coupon.

Accordingly, I removed the $50 coupon from my 13 day res beginning 10/2. now $198...$25 coupon, AP rate & AS1 code for a compact.

today booked a midsize on dollar (city special? rate code is showing OCW55) for a midsize @ $217

will keep looking but at least have two options at this point.
