Thanks for the tip! The last thing I saw is that it will open to general public 5/7 so am hoping that is true but have contacted my TA about options just in case. ETA: Small World Vacations says it opens for general public on 5/7 so I am crossing my fingers it's here tomorrow!

We just moved our Dec trip to Oct 31- Nov 8th so we could get free dining and attend both MNSSHP and MVMCP! Now I just need to get free dining and purchase tickets to the parties!

We are currently booked at POP with QSDP. I don't plan to upgrade the dining plan since I am going with my DD10 and Dsis who are both pickey eaters and only like to eat mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and burgers. It was cheaper for me to pay out of pocket for the places they each pickedted they wanted to eat (HDDR and Crystal palace) then it was for me to upgrade the Dining plan. So not only is this our first time attending the parties it is our first time doing the QSDP.

This trip in Oct is just hubby, my oldest daughter and myself. No eating issues there. We are celebrating her 18th b-day and her graduating high school (early, hehe) all in one trip. We are doing the regular dining plan and this will be our first stay at a deluxe. Can't wait!!

We were intending to go on a cruise but I think we've changed our minds to doing CSR 10/29-11/8 and doing both MNSHP and the MVMCP as well. I am xx fingers. It is being discussed at the moment, so I am hoping we can decide to get our tickets in place before they are sold.

I'm feeling very excited to have the two parties, which I've been wanting to hit up and also the Food & Wine festival at the same time. Xx fingers xX!

Wahoo! Scored free dining last week of Oct at CSR. A little irritating that our first day isn't covered under free dining and had to book a separate rez. If it's just a day they should make exceptions. LOL.

Since I have these two rez, MDE is telling me that I have two sets of Magic Bands to customize. What do I do in that case? I customized the set for the bulk of our stay but not the set for the one night. Do I have to have two sets? Both rez are linked...

The only reason it might matter is that the magic bands are also the room keys. Unless there is still the option to have a key to the world card/key issued. Or what did you mean by both ressies being linked? Both linked to the one set of bands?

No, both are linked to my My Disney Experience. I really don't want to have two sets of bracelets... just two more things to keep up with. I guess I will call and ask.

We weren't seriously planning a trip this year, but free dining during the time we wanted to go sealed the deal. We're heading down 10/29 to 11/3. Staying at two connected rooms at All Star Sports. Our family of 5 normally stays at POR but since it's not included in free dining we chose the cheapest alternative. We're not that concerned with where we stay because we only spend the night in the room. The rest of the time we're in the parks.

The one downside to being an annual passholder is no free dining I have always said they really need to come up with something for passholders that is similar to free dining. We come to the park throughout the year, spending lots of money yet our "benefits" on discounted rooms tend to be no better than what are offered to the general public.

(Which I am not doing!)

Unfortunately not. Your dining credits won't be good until the day free dining starts.

Wow. Interesting! So maybe now they only offer FD at POR with PIN codes sent via email? Because everyone says that POR and FQ are not included in the FD offer currently offered to the general public. They never send us PINs for October because they know we go in October every year. They instead send us a PIN (not necessarily for FD but a PIN nonetheless) to go in like March. Well we aren't going to go again THAT soon so what good is a PIN then? Which I think is the point. Its an unvitation. They know we won't use the PIN but I can't say they didn't send me one.
