October 2013!

That happened to me last year, so I totally understand *hugs* Plan something extra fun for yourself. :)

I will definitely be planning some extra fun somewhere! That's easy to do in Disney World! And I will take lots of pics to share with him when I get home. Did your husband get to go the next time y'all took a trip, or is October 2013 your next trip and he gets to go?! :)

:( :sad2: :sad1: At least with your family involved, you still get to go. Hopefully he won't be too jealous of all the fun. Or, maybe he will be, and will need to schedule another trip really soon! :thumbsup2

I'm pretty sure he will be jealous! He was quite upset yesterday and didn't speak for 3 hrs :( poor guy. I can't wait for retirement, or we need to win the lottery! Whichever comes faster! LOL!

He's not coming for the October trip either, but that was by choice. I want to do a trip with just him and me where we'll be focused on shows and dining rather than rides (he's not really a rides person) but now we're talking about Hawaii sometime after 2015, so...

:)

I can't stop fussing with my plans! Since this is such a quick trip I was getting really stressed out at the idea of our only time at MK being the night of MNSSHP.

However, it's only $40/pp to add a hopper to a one day ticket, and the day after when we go to DHS, MK is open until 11 for EMH. It will mean missing Fantasmic (my favorite!) but if we leave DHS around 6 (and with FP+ we'll have done everything we want to do multiple times, yay) we can get over to MK and stay til 11 and do all the rides we want to do (according to Touring Plans, anyway) and that way we can spend MNSSHP focused on party things and just ride rides if we have some extra time slots.

Need to talk to DD18 and see what she thinks, but I think it's a much better plan than trying to squeeze everything in. And cheaper than buying a full day ticket at MK on the day of the party since we wouldn't probably be able to get there til noon anyway, coming from a different event.

I got my envelope today with my Magical express tags and my little booklet of (mostly useless) coupons!!!! I have 2 or 3 days til my Magic Bands ship out too!!!

It's getting close!!!

Awesome! I love Tropical paradise vacays :)

If you haven't seen, the Princess Fairytale Hall will open in mid-September, and if you have FP+ you can book FP+ for it.

I was able to FP+ Cinderella and Rapunzel meet and greets. Was that as good use of my FP+ or not so necessary?

So we made the switch from an off site hotel to the Pop! So now we get magic bands! Now starts the hassle of scheduling fast passes. We are already arguing over times. LOL

it depends on what's important to you, but with it being new I expect long lines because people will want to see it.

We are right at 40 days. I'm so excited!!!!! We are staying at FW but I booked the night before at POR so now we get fast pass +. We are all anxious to try it. I'm nervous about staying at the cabins.... Because of how spread out avert thing is. Just couldn't rationalize the extra on a golf cart.... But hoping to make some great memories!!!

Are there any Canadians heading down during Canadian Thanksgiving?

We just booked The Liberty Tree Tavern on Sun. Oct. 13 so that we could have "The Pilgrim's Feast." ::yes:: I have to have turkey on Thanksgiving and eating a Toluca turkey leg is just not gonna work for me!

Just saw this thread. We are going down October 18-25, staying at CSR. We are celebrating our youngest son's first birthday on the 19th. We have other dining reservations, but will be eating breakfast at Chef Mickeys followed by his first hair cut at Harmony on the 19th. We are driving down an stopping by the beach on the way there. Cannot wait!

I started a tradition with my son, 19 now - that at the beginning of his Senior year of high school I took a small 5 day trip with him to Disney to enjoy eachother without "outside" noise of other people. My DH said he did not want to go - he hates places with large amounts of people. But before basketball started we went to spend quality time together. It was the best decision I made. One day he even said "let's just turn our cell phones off for the entire day" (girl problems) and we did. Now I am taking DD for her Senior trip and she is not as much as a commando as me and DS are. But it is HER trip, I have booked dinner on all days but also booked the dessert party. I thought about a massage for the both of us on one day but I think that may be a bit out of my price range. Has anyone done a carriage ride?? What did you think about it? We are staying BCV and I really would like some special ideas. It is bittersweet - can't wait to go but definitely don't want to rush this school year away. Then she will leave me with all these boys in my house and go to school!!! We will be arrive October 30 and staying through Nov 4th.
