reading through all the people booking September FD makes me realize that I have questions if we get lucky and can get FD or SPD for our 10/16-26 trip booked right now at POFQ, room and tickets. I have 2 rooms booked, one for my family and one for my sister. I made both reservations and charged the deposits to my Disney Visa. If either of these promos come out will I be able to call in and add FD or SPD to my sister's reservation? I will actually be paying in full for both reservations with my Disney Visa to get the rewards and she will pay me back. If it makes any difference I made the reservations over the phone so they are linked and I can see them on the Disney website.
2nd question, when you call to add FD to an existing package I assume you choose the option to change an existing reservation.

Yes, you can add the FD code to your sister's room with your DV card. Yes, you ask to modify an existing reservation. The only blip I see is that most people watching these historical discounts don't think the late October discounts will start until October 18 or later this year. Of course, we won't know for sure until release time on July

Looking at last year, FD was offered starting on 10/19 (or this year's 10/18), so who knows, but that is my hope. We are staying at POR. I know if a promo starts on 10/21 or something, I will probably either book a split stay for the 1st few nights/RO perhaps, maybe a different resort too, just to take advantage of the discount if it's that good. Just as long as it works with picking up park tickets (you can get them up to 3 days before your package starts at the resort). So for you if FD does come out 10/18, possibly RO for 10/16-10/18, FD package (hopefully) 10/18-10/26 - make sense?

I'm coming to WDW Oct 15th-27th.
I am doing a split stay, Oct 15th-22nd AKL and Oct 22nd-27th Poly.
I was hoping for a RO discount. Do RO discounts normally fall in the same dates as FD?
If I had to do RO for the 15th, 16th and 17th could I still get my park tickets for the 3 days I have a room only reservations?? I was planning on going to MK on the 16th....
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I forgot to mention my reservation from the 15th-22nd is package with tickets and the dining plan.
. I don't want to wish our summer away but come on Disney, release the October deal already! 
Okay, back to cleaning out my house.
The waiting is killing me! I go back and forth between being stressed out to not caring. Seeing the FD dealing today is starting to tip me over to the stressed out side again
