It'll be me, my husband, and my wonderful friend and TA. Maybe her daughter too, but we aren't sure.

No RR for us, but I did request the mansions section. We stayed in a brand new refurbed one last year and it was just SOOO beautiful! Plus I'm from down the bayou, so the AB section doesn't really do it for me. Are you going to the Halloween Party? We have a group of 24 on the 28th!!

we are staying at the AOA LM from 10/25-10/28.

attending MNSSHP on the 25th and the dessert party on the 27th!

we plan on eating our way through epcot on the 26th. :)

sooooo excited! :cool1:

I think I am losing it. I booked our trip the day free dining was announced for Disney Visa card holders last month. I thought a week or so after that I received a little packet with the reservation confirmation and breakdown of what our package includes per guest one and guest two, etc. Normally I put that on my desk for safe keeping. I just realized it is not there and I cannot recall the last time I saw it. Did anyone else get a packet already or did I dream it? I know ME tags usually go out around he 40 day mark but what about the detailed packet? I always forget from year to year.

i got a confirmation letter type of thing saying that i booked a MYW plus dining with all the thing that are included (mini golf voucher etc) and my balance with a due date. It was not the mickey mail that usually comes after everything is paid for

Ok so not the actual vouchers that you have to rip out and present to a CM to redeem? That will come later?

We're now going in October! We were originally booked in September (the week of our 10th wedding anniversary with DS#1 birthday the week before, and DS#2 birthday the week after). We are going to celebrate all three occasions, and bummed we had to bump our trip date to the end of October instead of the week surrounding the birthdays and anniversary. We are now going 10/28 - 11/3 and staying at POR. We are hoping to going to MNSSHP on 10/30, but haven't bought tickets yet. I hope to in the next couple of weeks and hope we don't have an issue getting them. If we can't get them for the 30th, hopefully we can go on the 28th, but it would mean changing an ADR we have on the 28th.

I can't wait for my in-laws' 40th anniversary trip next month! We'll be at the Contemporary from October 26-30th. 5 day park-hoppers, MNNSHP on October 28th. We have ADRs at Chef Mickey's (first night), 50's Prime Time Cafe (my 5 year old wants to see me get scolded by the server), Garden Grill (Epcot), and Cinderella's Castle (last night). Yay!

Only bummer: no free dining for us unless we change our rooms. When I called to apply free dining, the agent said that it's not available for theme park view rooms; we'd have to change to a Bay Lake view room. And now I'm torn . . . We'd save a lot of money with the cheaper room and free dining, but being able to see the fireworks and castle from our room were one of the main reasons we wanted to stay at the Contemporary, especially since we're traveling with a toddler and will probably need to turn in early most evenings.

Decisions, decisions . . . :confused3

Of course, it is up to you whether it is "worth it" or not, however, how much time will you actually be in the room and awake is really what I would consider. Even if you are in there 3 hours a day sitting around looking at the view, thats still only 15 hours over he 5 days, so you can divide the price difference by 15 and determine if your view is worth that hourly rate.

We have found, even with a toddler, we spend little time in the room other than sleeping, but we spend lots of time eating and touring, so we would go for the free dining in a heartbeat.

i really need a place to share my excitement without my best friend seeing. i'm planning a surprise trip to wdw 10/21-24! woot woot :cool1:

You can go down to the shopping area of Contemporary and go out the doors there and watch the fireworks over the castle from the deck area there. They even pipe in the music! :)

Our extended family of nine will be staying at POP 10/20 - 10/27. Is anybody else ticked off that they removed the one and only MK late EMH on 10/22?:furious:

Yeap. I just commented on the MK EMH change to DH last night. I am sure the schedule will change again though so don't be too furious just yet.

The final changes will come out mid-Sept. for Oct so I am hopeful they add it back. That was the only evening EMH at MK for us, as well.:headache:

Another plus to the Bay Lake View is the opportunity to see the Electric Light Water Parade nightly from your balcony.
