I think I am losing it. I booked our trip the day free dining was announced for Disney Visa card holders last month. I thought a week or so after that I received a little packet with the reservation confirmation and breakdown of what our package includes per guest one and guest two, etc. Normally I put that on my desk for safe keeping. I just realized it is not there and I cannot recall the last time I saw it. Did anyone else get a packet already or did I dream it? I know ME tags usually go out around he 40 day mark but what about the detailed packet? I always forget from year to year.

Only bummer: no free dining for us unless we change our rooms. When I called to apply free dining, the agent said that it's not available for theme park view rooms; we'd have to change to a Bay Lake view room. And now I'm torn . . . We'd save a lot of money with the cheaper room and free dining, but being able to see the fireworks and castle from our room were one of the main reasons we wanted to stay at the Contemporary, especially since we're traveling with a toddler and will probably need to turn in early most evenings.
I can't wait for my in-laws' 40th anniversary trip next month! We'll be at the Contemporary from October 26-30th. 5 day park-hoppers, MNNSHP on October 28th. We have ADRs at Chef Mickey's (first night), 50's Prime Time Cafe (my 5 year old wants to see me get scolded by the server), Garden Grill (Epcot), and Cinderella's Castle (last night). Yay!

Even if you are in there 3 hours a day sitting around looking at the view, thats still only 15 hours over he 5 days, so you can divide the price difference by 15 and determine if your view is worth that hourly rate.
We have found, even with a toddler, we spend little time in the room other than sleeping, but we spend lots of time eating and touring, so we would go for the free dining in a heartbeat.
