***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

Question about ADR's. We usually plan a trip rather spur of the moment, a month maybe two out so I've never had the luxury of getting dining reservations 180 days out. My question is my 180 days is April 25th (I think!) for our stay Oct 22-27th. Will I be able to make all my reservations on the 25th for the entire stay or will I have to do it one each day, 180 days out from each day. TIA!

As long as you are staying onsite, you can make all of them at once 180 days out. If you are an offsite guest, you would have to call everyday and make them one day at a time.

If onsite I was told yes you can make them all at one... hmm we are going at the same time, competition.... jk I was also told it's better if you call since the site is unreliable, is that true?

The site can be down at times, but you can start booking online at 6am. The phones lines do not open until 7am, so I would recommend making them online and if you run into any problems then you can call if you need to.

Great! So glad I can do it all at once since we are staying onsite at All-Star Movies. Now if only the October TA calendar would come out so I can figure out when and where...

Oh, no! You are one day ahead of me. I'm so screwed!!! :rotfl:

Oh, good to know. 6am eastern, correct? Geez, DH is going to think I'm nuts getting up at 5am (central) to make ADRs.

Yep...6am Eastern. I'm sure once he is at Disney, and eating all of the yummy food, he will change his mind about how "nuts" you were. :thumbsup2

Okay so you've booked online I take it... I need some advice when booking can you make any seating requests? Do you find it easier to book online? Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!:confused3

I only book one TS meal per trip, and truth be told, we cancelled our TS meal mid-trip last time because we had already seen Winnie the Pooh 3 times that week, and we decided to spend that money on the Cinderella Castle playset for the kids.:rotfl:

I am certain that if you elaborate on what you mean by "seating requests", someone on here will tell you what you need to do in order to get them. Good luck!:goodvibes

I'm in ... if you wouldn't mind, please add me for Oct 11-18 at Ft Wilderness!

This will be our 5th Food & Wine Fest trip in the last 6 years. This year I really want to check out the Swan/Dolphin Food&Wine Classic (Oct 12/13). I've heard nothing but good things, so this year's trip has been planned around those dates

We are planned to accommodate the F&W Classic also! It sounds wonderful!!

What I need info on is when booking ADRs for instance California Grill or Coral Reef can you request seating by the window for fireworks or the reef by the aquarium? my daughter likes the banana

Unfortunately for him, no boys allowed on this trip. He's stuck home watching the baby while DD and I hang out with Mickey and the gang along with my BFF and her god-daughter.

There's no way to make special seating requests when making ADRs online. I would suggest making the request when you check in for your reservation. They can't guarantee anything, but maybe you'll get some pixie dust!:wizard:

I forgot to have you add me to the list!

DH and I going 9/29 to 10/6. Staying at WBC. WAHOO!!!!!

POR Sept 29 - Oct 3 -- :goodvibes:

Please add me 9/30 to 10/6 at POFQ

Adding all of you!

For those of you going the first week of Oct, our dates overlap :) There seems to be a lot of us going the first week of Oct. What gives, I thought it was supposed to be a light travel time??

Will anyone have Lime Green mickey heads??

Eeekkk!! I'm so excited and hoping for pixie dust! Allears is announcing Be Our Guest is opening this fall!! Of course that means anytime up to December 20th or whatever, so here is to hoping and wishing and :wizard: that it will be open when we go!!

We will for sure! I was in a March group last year that had a special LGMH just for us...maybe there is someone who is crafty that can design one for us with a Halloween theme maybe?
The one for March had an awesome Mardi Gras theme to it.

I already have them sitting in my bag. Last time I was at Home Depot I grabbed some. I made mine into a keychain with my DIS name on it for our 2010 trip.

Do you have a picture of the one from your March trip? Maybe we could get some ideas from that. The first thing I thought of for Halloween was Frankenstein because of the color.
