Hey gang! I haven't posted in this thread in a while so I figured I would drop by say HI! and see.... how everyone's plans coming?

My DH and I have started a PTR (link in siggy) for anyone who wants to read it. We are having our really antsy moments.

In addition to plotting every detail about this October trip, I've now been given the green light to plan TWO trips to WDW for 2013! One sans kids for our 10th Anniversary! I want that so bad, but I think I might feel horrible once we're there and know that the kids are stuck at home

Jenny105 - DD has recently shown an interest in POFQ. We've stayed there before and she really liked it. I am a little perplexed as to why she doesn't want to stay at WL, but today I told her we could stay at POFQ if she really wanted to - - she was so excited - - so we're changing resorts. I will be calling our TA tomorrow. So could you please change our resort? Thanks!

No problem! Maybe DD just wants to stay somewhere she's used to? At least it'll give you some extra $$ to put toward other things!

You rock for sharing that link! I went with the vampire Mickey one! They only had it in a 3x but maybe if I wash it on hot and dry it a few dozen times it will shrink!!

Thanks! I almost had a minor melt down this morning when I called the TA. Did I mention I do not like him? He told me that there were no rooms available at POFQ! I was speechless needless to say. We hung up and then I proceeded to get on-line myself and chatted w a Disney rep. They did in fact have rooms and asked if I wanted to book one. I told her I had to get back with her, knowing I needed to cancel my reservation w the TA. At that moment the TA called back and said there was a glitch or something and that indeed there were some rooms available and he changed our resort. I was not a happy camper. All is good now...

That week is typically a free dining week, so hopefully so! Our dates are Oct 26-Nov 4 and we're also at POP!

Ack! Sorry to hear about the trouble with your TA. At least he figured out his mistake. I'm a TA myself and maybe it's because I'm Disney obsessed but I pay very close attention to my clients' Disney vacations. I'll switch ya over to a better deal before you even know about it!

We were originally scheduled for 9/28/-10/7, but had to move it because DS8 was asked to be the ringbearer in my cousin's wedding on 10/6. Can't very well go to WDW without my little boy!

Wasn't crazy about missing Halloween at home, but now that we're scheduled, it's really starting to grow on me. DH and I decided that we'll go all out on our costumes for MNSSHP, too. Should be lots of fun!

As of now I am going to book off the Disney Resort website and do the package plan. Is there anything I should know, and do you guys recommend I get a travel agency involved? Thanks for any input, it would be greatly appreciated!

We'll be splitting our stay - 9 days (10/11-10/20) at POFQ, and 3 days (10/20-10/23) at AKL. We feel is the savannah view is absolutely necessary, but all the had left was club level! So for right now, club level it is, and hopefully a standard room will become available. Also hoping for some sort of discount to help offset all the costs. Does anyone know if their are any discounts usually given out around that time?

P.S. We'll be driving from New York! Road trip!

Welcome o the boards! Use this website or allears.net to find out a ton of information about Disney. Both are very useful. Have you thought about booking with AAA or a Disney specific agency? Dreams Unlimited is Disney specific and they run this board!

A Disneymoon, how exciting! We'll be staying at AKL too but a couple weeks before you I've added you to the list. Usually the discounts in October are the free dining offer & some kind of fall discount rate. I'm sure you'll get something!
AKL really doesn't have any regular savannah views left? I wonder why that is. Have you checked the villas? Since it's just the two of you, you could book a savannah view studio.
