I have not received a pin code in 5 years and Lo & Behold, I received the (35% off deluxe, 25% off mod, etc.) pin today in the snail mail at work. I don't even know why Disney would have had my work address Any way, I really wanted to take my next Disney vacation the week of Oct. 16 but I refuse to go to Disney w/o a discount (Never have, Never will). So, when free dining came out last week I booked a Dec vacation with free dining @ POFQ since my Oct dates were blacked out on free dining. So today I get this pin & call Disney ASAP to check my Oct dates. No moderates & no deluxe available with this pin, so I booked 2 rooms at POP. The free dining offer is really a better deal for us economically but the Oct dates work better as far as schedule. So even though we aren't saving much $ we are getting 2 rooms and we get to go in OCT!! So, i really hope those of you still waiting for Oct discounts get them soon b/c it seems resort availability is getting limited!

I'm sorry you have to give up your vacation, but congrats on the new job!!!! You can plan with us....I think our next trip will be October 2013 as well (although hubby did mention something about next year....God, I love that man!).

Thanks! I am actually pretty excited thinking ahead to 2013. Save some more $$, maybe try some new extras to treat ourselves. We have gone 3 years in a row so a little time off isn't the worst. My mom though---"2013...that's so far away"

Built a crap load of stuff or TRIED this morning for our dates Oct 15-22 there was NOTHING value at all, only thing at CSR was a suite, nothing still at either PO, had some CB but I don't want the double beds. Needless to say SOL even if discount comes out. I'm at CSR in a water view room but at 3075 bux I"d rather change and save some money IF I could not lookin good though.

We are staying the week of October 10th and there is still quite a bit of availability - POFQ, Poly, BW, WL, etc. so I am still hoping!

Maybe when the 45 day rolls around something might then open up due to cancellations. We can only hope for anyone getting pins or if and when a GP discount is announced.

I just asked AAA what their rate would be. I'm going to just book it and if a discount comes available for my dates (mid october) then I'll see if I can switch. I can't stand the waiting game anymore

Maybe when the 45 day rolls around something might then open up due to cancellations. We can only hope for anyone getting pins or if and when a GP discount is announced.

Do you think there are a lot of cancellations at that 45-day mark? We're booked at the Poly, but really wanted CL which is full for our dates. We're at 48 days out now, and hoping someone cancels so we can grab their room

Last year we were in the same situation. Our vacation date was October 12, 2010 and I had given up hope of ever being able to upgrade our rooms at the Poly because it was well past the 45 day mark. I just went over my notes from last year and found that on September 14th, two CL GV rooms opened up at our resort so we grabbed them immediately.

So keep trying right up until you leave. We had less than a month to go and we were able to grab two CL rooms. Hopefully you will have the same luck!!!

ETA..and the 2 Poly CL rooms even had the 40% off discount too!!!!

That would be awesome! Thanks for the encouragement - I keep checking every day . And no, we wouldn't pay rack rate either - the current discount we have isn't 40% (only about 27.5%) but I would upgrade with that!

Received a pin code via snail mail for 25% off value/moderates, 35% off deluxe resorts. Talked it over with DW and we're going to upgrade to BWI. Just waiting on the updated confirmation from our travel agent now, otherwise we're all set for our first Food & Wine Festival. So excited!

This is the week we have to go bacause of fall break for our 7 year old DGD. We will take her twin 4 year old brothers this trip too. I was hoping for short lines to match their short attention spans. I hope the park isn't full to capacity.

There's a large convention in the Boardwalk area also. Fills up the hotels, not the parks. Though Epcot WS will be full on weekends for F&W. Everything else should be quite low.

we have not received a code yet. Last year by this time I had already received three. We plan on doing a YES class for cheaper tickets and will probably stay offsite.

We received a PIN code in the mail today - 35% off Deluxes and Villas, 25% off mods and values. For "most nights" 9/18 - 11/18 and 11/26-12/22. We've already signed a Bonnett Creek agreement for Oct. 15-21, and have a WL reservation in place waiting for a discount code! Haven't decided yet what we'll do, but leaning toward BC - a 1 BR or 2 BR that would save us $700 on our rooms...

I booked WL Courtyard for Oct. 28- Nov. 4. No Std. rooms and only Woods had bunkbeds - the courtyard was less expensive than those rooms.
If Std. is available when/if the GP code comes out we will possibly switch. I was so glad to get WL I didn't ask about other resorts.

It might work for a code, but do not set up an account for a 7 year old, there are WAY more bad things that can come from that than a discount on a single trip.

I got a code for the 25,35 etc that others were getting earlier in the week by email and then yesterday in the mail, I got a hard copy of the same cose along with a game on code for 30% off a couple of weeks in October only. Funny thing is that the CM did not see any code on their end, but when they put in the original code it gave me the larger 30% discount. I have no idea how this mess works, we have never gotten a code before then I got 2 in 3 days....
