Early this AM I was on hold for 40 minutes then I got called into a meeting!! ARG. I called back after my STUPID meeting and waited again and then the CSR said the deal is only good for OCT 2-8 or OCT 30 - NOV 5. Did the other dates for October get filled for FD, or was the info provided yesterday incorrect??

The dates for October are OCT 2-8 and OCT 23 to NOV 5.

The rest of October falls within a blackout period and were never available. Probably due to conventions and the PGA tourney.

Please let us know what the discount is. If it's decent, I'll buy an AP myself because hubby just said we can go back in 2012!!!!!

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!

I had booked Oct 20-30 at the POFQ forever ago and it was rack rate...no discounts available for the POFQ. I tried the BC and the YC and there are no discounts open either. I tried doing a split stay and mess with the dates a bit but it was getting super expensive so DH said the heck with it, lets just stay at the BWI the entire trip for $2500...it was just $500 more than what I was paying at POFQ and we are going to be at F&W every day so it made sense.

There is 40% off of deluxe and villas, 30% off of mods and 20% off of values.

When I finally got through to a CM she said the phones are blowing up since 7am all for FD...hardly anyone is calling just for AP room discounts. I was really shocked that the BC and YC didnt have any AP discounts at all....

Whoo Hoo! I just upgraded my 3 night stay in Oct. from POR with quick service dining to AKL savannah view standard dining (on the free dining option) for only $300 I'm so jazzed.

I cannot believe I seriously wasted this much of my time. I sat on hold for 2 hours (a little OVER 2 hours, the CSR actually woke me up!). Just to be told that Oct. 9-29 is blocked out, I have no pin code, no one we have ever traveled with has a pin code, we are stuck with 2 rack rate rooms, no discount, nothing.

I am going out to enjoy the beautiful day here in northern MN.

Sorry you had that result; there may be a room-only code coming out which may apply to your dates. Just as an aside - I think you meant that "the CM actually woke" you up. CSR = Coronado Springs Resort; CM = Casat Member.

I can't win. I waited this long to find out the only dates I can go are blacked out, 10/13 - 10/18th. I have no idea where to look for a pin code, and the military special ends before I can go anyway.

Someone help me out!! I'll take anything at this point.

I was just told by a CM that something else is coming and to keep an eye out on the website. I'll take anything at this point.

Awesome tammyjeanm!!! Did you get a read on when? The CM's comment makes it sound like it could be released at any minute but I've read around mid-August. I didn't realize the AP discounts were coming out today so now I'm nervous I'm going to miss the big room only discounts I need... I felt so "insider" before the AP discounts came out! haha

Jennifer- please call back or go on the website. oct.9 - 29 is not all blocked out. I was told this morning that I couldn't get fd for my dates 10/24-11/3. Right when I got off the phone the deal came online and my dates were available. Just double check because the CMs were so confused this a.m.!

Just applied FREE DINING! Of course, that means we have to check in 6 days earlier than we planned but the whole package is only costing us $75 more than our original package!!!

There are two rumors - the 13th and the 16th. Personally, the 13th would surprise me, as it's a Saturday. Unless that's the 3-day VISA advance release.

In any event it's still less than two weeks away. Not so long now and I'm sure we'll hear more rumors before then.

Should the GP discount likely be the exact same as the AP discount? Same dates, etc?

Hey, everyone. Just got back on the DIS after the fiasco this morning (we crashed the server) and actually working for most of the day. lol

Anyway....for those of us that are blacked out, please remember this: there are plenty of very nice, very roomy accomodations available off-site. I know that I have had to tweak my touring plans a bit since making decision to stay off-site, but, in all serious, with the money I'm saving, I don't really care. I know that a big factor for a lot of you is the transportation and I honestly can't help there....we always rent a car because of my back problems and my husband's anxiety.

But, all total, I am spending $1,186 less staying off-site (in a suite with an actual sofa bed for my daughter to sleep on) than I would staying at a moderate on property (was, and technically still am, booked at POR).

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for an awesome room discounts or, better yet, Disney realizes their mistake and extends free dining the third week in October (one can dream, can't she?). But it would take a 75% discount in order for me to break even with what I am paying off-site and I know that's not going to happen.

I'm a realist and, unfortunately, I've realized that I will be staying off-site this year. I have to do more research at the area where we will be staying as we had previously stayed in Davenport.

I also called and got the free dining beginning on the 23rd. I had to make a one-day resort only reservation for the 22nd, but we're saving over $725!!!
