Not having a Saturday night stay this trip is killing me since I can't use most of the coupon codes. My rate from last week is still the best I can find. 10/4-7 (4 days 7 hours) at $136ish.

Today the total is around $188ish. Holding my breath they drop soon!

I went ahead and booked the minivan through Travelocity. Thank you so mcuh for posting the code!!!! Yes it's more than a full size car, but we really do need the room and $416 really isn't that bad.

I will keep checking to see if the price goes down.

BTW - is Fastbreak a good service? I've always stood in the rental car line, but if I can save myself even 20 minutes, I'll do it. TIA

FYI..

I just checked Dollar again for my dates of 10/6-10/14, with MCO pickup and JAX dropoff and it went down another almost $33, using their City Special deal. A total of a $90 drop in the last few days!!!

Has anyone else bought themselves a SunPass since the tolls are all going cashless?

Anyone know of any codes that are good for a one day rental? I need a minivan from Friday 10/14 to Saturday 10/15 so we can drive to the beach. I have a ressie from Alamo picking up from the Car Car Center and dropping off there too.

So I just checked again today and for Visa cardholders I was able to get a GREAT price...I just did the economy car but it looked like all models were a good deal, and much less than my original reservation!

Well all my optimism and watching the behavior of National's rates seems to be crapping out for me. As I get closer to my departure , my dates are 10/4 to 10/12, when you book starting 9/30 for a week or ten days or whatever, you get a ridiculously low rate. Make your starting date 10/1 and you get slammed! I mean it goes from under $100/week to more than double that and it has been that way for three days now.

Yes I know that Columbus Day is in that time period, I did the same trip last year with Columbus Day and it wasn't even near what it is this year. I know I have a about 3 weeks to go but everyone is saying their rates are dropping and mine haven't budged.

I am still hoping but every day closer my hopes fall even more. I know that Alamo is a little less now than National but I am taking a chance on getting something bigger than a full size on the Exec Aisle. Please no flames!!!

Have you tried using the Travelocity code with Budget? I don't have a Saturday stayover.

Rookie! If you can't tell the rental company by looking at the number and coupon code, you haven't been doing this long enough.

Saved another $1.50 this morning! Using alamo insiders code and AA $35 off coupon, my rate is $124.23 for 1 week and 1 extra hour, 10/4-10/11 in a standard size.
