I am going with my kids and sister in October. This will be our second year and we did MNSSHP last year. It was really cool and I am so excited. My youngest dd picked out her costume yesterday so her grandma can make it for her. I am just so excited.

Maybe someone can answer this. We have talked to a travel agent about booking our trip (Oct 10-21) and they think going at that time is a mistake. They recommend going at the end of Oct. instead of the beginning. I kind of thought that we were going towards the end of the middle.

Why would you not go then? Is it going to be a lot busier? I know the weather is warmer in Sept and you have to worry about hurricanes. Is there something else I am missing?

i think what you have planned is good.
i always leave orlando the day after columbus day.
i find more crowds tend to come in at the end of the month.

you will have F & W, mnsshp for the time period you are going.

weather is still good for the middle of the month.

from what i have read in trip reports and threads, it seems like more crowds are at the end of the month.

i have been going early october for the last 9 years.


i have no idea why the TA suggests you change your dates. are there more discounts at that time??

We're going Oct 15-20 for my 40th bday and DD's 12th. (DH is just tagging along and indulging us!) Staying at Beach Club for maximum access to F&WF, and doing MNSSHP for the first time. I can't wait!

Anyone been over Columbus Day?? I am wondering if we should avoid it. I am not one for crowds and would probably have a royal meltdown if it was packed. LOL

for the past 2 years, i have found that the crowds grow for the columbus day weekend.

i always leave on the Tuesday after columbus day Monday.

October 29th till Nov 13th!! Cant wait!

My birthday is on halloween, my dads is the 9th and my step sisters is the 12th!!

I went to Orlando over halloween in 2002!! Had an amazing time, queues were hardly seen!!

We went to halloween horror nights at universal and it was FAB!! So scary but excellent!!!!! Cant wait to do it all again this year! xxx

We are going Oct 25-30th. Wanted to be home for Halloween, but also wanted to make it to MNSSHP. We went in Sept last year and it was so hot, hoping the end of Oct isn't quit so hot.

Today I found out today our dates for our trip in Oct. It looks like we will be there from the 11th -18th. The first weekend IS Columbus Day weekend. I hope that it's not to busy.

Going from 10/25-11/1. First trip for my daughter who will be 3 1/2 then. Last visit for my wife and I was 5 years ago so we are very excited. Can't wait to see her little face light up when she meets all her favorite characters for the very first time.

Are there usually any deals for October? TIA., We have teacher conventions for two days in the middle of October. Is this a good time?

We are going Oct 18-24. We just switched or reservation from ASMu to Pop!

We stayed at Pop in November and loved it!

We'll be there Oct 23 - Nov 1 at Pop! Can't wait for MNSSHP again! It was my favorite part of our last October trip!
