October 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

I have a 6:40 at Ohana's on Oct 27th that I would like to trade. It is for two people (1a, 1c). We've decided to do MNSSHP that night. Any night between Oct 25 -Oct 29 would be great. Thanks!

I've been obsessively searching for a reservation at CM for 2A & 2C any time from 10/8 to 10/13. If anyone can help I would appreciate it!

Another DIS'er gave us a reservation at CM on 10/9 at 5 pm for 2 adults & 2 children. Unfortunately, our flight time was changed, so it is unlikely that we will be able to make it to the Contemporary on time. I wrote her earlier in the week asking if she wanted to offer it up again, or if I should do so. I will let you know what she says!

Follow up: I've PM'ed with Mom loves Disney, and she is happy to have me pass the reservation along to you. Let me know for sure that you want it, and I'll PM you the info.

that was before the new system. I have tried on several occasions to change a name on an ADR with the new dining system and each time I have been told that I cannot do it.

It's all in which castmember you get. I just transferred a ressie 2 days ago to another DIS'er who was uncomfortable pretending to me and preferred the ressie in her name. The CM asked for her name, resort and how many adults/kids in the party. Took just a few minutes. Same confirmation number.

I am sorry that I am just now responding. We have never been to 1900 so that might be our first choice. DH is away and I was going to ask him his thoughts. I am just thrilled to have either one. Thank you again for your generosity!

One other thing I am looking for is a Fantasmic package for 10/08!

Sorry Happy... You said the same thing to me but your 100% wrong. I made my changes with the new system with NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. I repeat... NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER... Either you got incompetent CMs or you didn't explain yourself properly, but eitherway as several of us have said, you are wrong. Time to stop arguing the point, as you have been disproven by several people.

Sorry to inconvenience you but I am hearing impaired and cannot hear on the phone very well which is why I am using the TA to make/cancel my ADR's.

Also I had read here a couple days ago that you can no longer transfer names as you could in the past under the new ADR system. I did post awhile ago about the ADRs' that I had and offered them if someone could tell me how to transfer them without calling. I could not cancel them online because my TA made them for me so I was unable to access them online.

I guess I was just trying to give some people a heads up on upcoming cancellations. Sorry it didn't work for you.

I did not see a post by you... but glad you did at least. You can have the TA change names, which is the route I would go... any TA worth their salt and who isn't lazy can do that (from the sound of it yours is not lazy or anything like that).

I simply say it as a reminder... despite some people getting ressies trying to pick up the cancelled, the majority do not. I just am reminding you and others to try and help out their fellow DISers.

Agreed. Lots of LAZY cast members in the dining call pool lately. Majority are still good hard working CMs, but a lot of laziness here and in DVC as well. One ticked me off to the point of complaining.

wow, seriously? I know I'm not a part of this discussion, but seems a little harsh.

Perhaps it was (although I could have easily gone a LOT harsher)... however, same person keeps shouting until they are blue when several people have told them they are dead wrong and have actually done what they claim can't be done. It gets a bit annoying to be honest. I mean saying once, you tried it and it didn't work is cool. But when multiple people tell you that you are wrong... well its time to stop shouting that the earth is flat at that point. Time to acknowledge that they MIGHT be incorrect, perhaps the CMs they got didn't do their job right and stop postiing ncorrect information. Or maybe I'm just being cranky because its Friday and I want to go home. ;-)

So to Happy, If that was too harsh, I apologize. Please understand that you might be incorrect as several people have done what you said was impossible, please take their anecdotes as evidence that it is possible and please stop posting that others are using the old system when they aren't.
