Today I picked up Oct 11 for a preferred studio at the BWV. I picked up one day each on 6/10, 6/20 and now 6/30. Each of these was confirmed when i called to "check" on my wait lists. I'm still wait listed for 10/6, 10/8 and 10/9. Once i get those i'll have October 4-12.

I got mine! In the mail today: on 6/21 I was confirmed for a standard view 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk! It saves me points, but I was hoping for the Boardwalk view! I was booked Preferred/ Garden view for 5 nights -Oct 12-16 did it at seven months and immediately waitlisted both Standard View and Boardwalk View. So i saved 30 points . . . . but I wanted the view of the Boardwalk. Guess I'll go back and waitlist that!

Hi I have a question for you we are only 3 weeks new with dvc...

we are currently booked for okw for oct 26 to oct 28
but are waitlisted for bwv and bcv since we are going to
be at the food and wine we thought these 2 resorts would
be more convient for us.

would our chances be better if we call and check with ms
every now and then or will the system just give it to us if
available.

I have read many people geobtanig waitlisted ressies just checking online on the Members Website. But many members call regularly suscribing to the squeaky wheel approach. Either good luck with you're waitlist.

I don't really think it makes a difference if you call or not. But for some people it may make them feel like their doing something about it, and hey, it can't hurt to try everything you can, but IMO i can't see them having the ability to push someone to the top of the list because they keep calling, and it's something I wouldn't want them to have the ability to do.

Of all the time that I have wait listed. This is the first time that I have got my wait list. YEAH!

Still waiting for our waitlist to come through for a 1bedroom at Boardwalk or BeachClub October 10-13 and October 15-17. I hope it comes through!

Okay, I'm late coming to this thread! But we just decided YESTERDAY to take a quick trip to WDW in October! Yes, October! What were we thinking?! But anyway, I called MS this morning. We actually got a 2BR at OKW and SSR. We have a 2BR at OKW, then SSR, then OKW again. So we are waitlisted for a couple of nights at OKW.

We are waitlisted for a 2BR at OKW on Oct 14 & 16th. Please, please, please... I don't want to move!

We currently have our Oct trip booked for the Swan for Oct 24-30th - what are our chances of booking a studio or 1br at SSR or OKW or any DVC resort 3-4 weeks before our October trip ???

Any luck at all ??? - It would be nice to use our 08 points for this trip ???

i'd request to be put on the waitlist 'everywhere' onsite for both categories & specifiy to remain on it....until the cancellation period begins for the ressie @ the Swan... u never know

Called today (8/2/08) to add one night to our October trip (Got great deal on airfare if we stayed an additional night)..

Wait listed for 1 bedroom at BWV, any view for Saturday, October 11,2008.

I tried calling last week to get a studio for October 8th and 9th with no luck anywhere. Dad, Stepmom and kids decided to do two nights at the Nick Hotel before moving to SSR and our 2 bedroom on October 10th.

I suggest getting on the waitlist asap.

Unfortunately that is correct. You have to be a member to be on the waitlist. As soon as your resale goes through and you are in the system, call to get on the waitlist. SSR and OKW are large resorts so hopefully you'll be something. Good luck!

Waitlisted w/ no preference on location on the 23rd of October, and at the BCV on the 26th of October.
Current reservations Boardwalk 24th, BCV 25th. I know we will be moving aroudn a lot, but do you think we have a chance on adding the additional nights?
